Riad Mur Akush is perfectly situated in the heart of Marrakech, enabling the exploration of the bustling city by foot. The riad serves as a calm and homely base allowing you to relax after a busy day in the city. The room is spacious and has anything you would need, including an excellent shower. The view from the rooftop terrasse is breathtaking especially at sunset/sunrise. Exceptional is also the treatment by the staff, who helped us in any way they can: giving advice, organizing taxi, being flexible with breakfast wishes... A special thanks goes out to Ali, who's hospitality made our stay feel like we are staying at a good friends home rather than an impersonal hotel.

Location is great, it is an easy walk in to the center of the medina, to museum Dar el Bacha, to the Secret Garden etc. You can also walk to the Majorelle Garden and Madrasa Ben Yussuf. There is always staff around and the hotel feels safe. The airport transfer arranged by the hotel is quick and on time. Room is warm thanks to the AC, and the terrace on top of the house is great for breakfast at sunrise or just hanging around. Friendly staff.

Personally I would have liked a variation of pillows, now I had many but of the same size. On the other hand I never asked, so don't know if any other sizes were available. The breakfast was very focused on carbs and sugar, and I cannot really eat too much sugar. When asking I got a small omelette in addition, but to thoroughly make it healthier seemed a bit hard. But all these things are just minor details.

Great location inside the Medina. Walking distance to all of the major sites we wanted to visit in Marrakech and close to restaurants. Staff was very friendly and fulfilled our every request.

Our first floor room was right off of the courtyard for meals so it felt a little exposed.

The family owned riad is traditional with many original features. The roof top has magnificent views to the Atlas mountains. The location was fantastic, next to a local souk used by locals. It was a 15-minute walk to the souks of Marrakesh. The Kasbah was 25 minutes’ walk where you can visit Saadian tombs and Bahia Palace. On the way you can walk through the garden of Koutoubia Mosque. Jardin Marbella was 15 minutes’ walk away. From the car park at the back of Koutoubia Mosque you can meet the free shuttle to the Anima Gardens which is around 45 minutes away. The House of Photography and the Secret Garden can be found in the souks both within a 30 minutes walk, assuming you do not get lost! Lastly, 2 minutes away is Les Bains d` Azahara, a traditional Hammam, spa.

We were not unhappy with anything, if I were to change one thing it would be the breakfast. Not because it was not good, but a traditional breakfast comes with a variety of breads which I am not really into.

It was well located and easy to get to all the main attractions but well hidden enough that it was nice and quiet, we enjoyed breakfast with the sounds of nature and the occasional neighbours but no traffic sounds. A big thank you to Ali who was very accommodating and helped us through everything, it was the last leg of our honeymoon trip and after travelling for a few weeks this place was a perfect end to it! We will definitely stay here again!

This hotel was in the best location in the old city. Amazing coffee hang out just to the left a few steps away. The staff. The only thing I can say is that they were absolutely incredible! I have never been in a hotel with such amazing staff in my entire life. They were so accommodating, had the best personalities, were very caring, and always had a smile on their face. From the front desk to the home-made breakfast to the cleaning crew, the experience was amazing. The room was incredible. Two separate sections, a huge washroom, and almost felt like your own little Villa. It came with a rooftop patio and was close to literally everything. Walking distance to downtown in the new city and all the beauty in The Old City. If I could give this hotel an 11 out of 10 I would!!!

Super nice and accommodating staff, and all spoke good English. Lovely building with beautiful art and comfortable furniture. Everyone was happy to help in every way possible.

The breakfast was lovingly prepared and served and included a nice selection of fruit and various breads. Most everything was fresh and delicious. We desired more protein in our breakfast and the cooks accommodated us by adding an omelette.

Riad Mur Akush is in a really good location, just a short walk to everything you want to do and see within the Medina. It is located on a quiet street and near to lots of local little places for reasonable meals. The provided daily breakfast is fantastic. The staff is so very helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We stayed in the room called Yasmine. Very comfy and nice size too. Bathroom was wonderful.we highly recommend Riad Mur Akush. Wonderful stay!

Beautiful and clean rooms. Absolutely loved the vibe of the place and managed to catch the beautiful sunset at the terrace. But the staff was the highlight for me. I enjoyed their company greatly. They were the friendliest and made sure to attend to my needs no matter the time. Out of all the accommodations I booked in Morocco, this was my favourite! One example of their hospitality is that breakfast is usually served at 8am (correct me if I am wrong) but when I informed them that I had to leave by 7am for my desert trip, they made arrangements to still prepare breakfast to ensure that we had food in our tummies before we left. This little sacrifice was, to me, an act of kindness that was not required of them and for that, my friends and I are so thankful. Thank you for the wonderful memories, Riad Mur Akush!

Such a cute riad in a very lively and nice area of the Medina. Easy access with cars just 1 minute walking distance from the riad. We only had one night here before heading home, but would have loved to have more time exploring this part of town. We were nicely welcomed and the room had all we needed for one night.

The pillows were a bit hard and clumpy, and the duvets was small. We did not get towels for the shower, only bath robes.
