The hotel staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming. Additionally, the hotel is in the heart of Thamel, so you are relatively close to a lot of nice places catered to tourists. There is a rooftop to have a cigarette too which is always a bonus.

The rooms are fine but nothing extraordinary, and while the hotel is indeed in a central location within Thamel, it is located in some alleys, so it was a bit of a challenge to access it at first, even after having been in the Thamel area for several days. Being in such a labrynth of alleys, it is then no surprise that the rooms didn't offer much of a view.

The hotel is very clean and safe, with extremely friendly staff. The staff at the reception, in particular, stands out for its kindness and for the support they provide you with. The hotel is located in Thamel, nearby nice shops and restaurants (the excellent Tibetan restaurant Utse is just 3 minutes walking from the hotel). Durbar Square is also not far away, just 15 minutes by walking. Despite its central location, the hotel is also located in a quiet street, far from the traffic noise. At breakfast you have a good assortment of food (I appreciated a lot the presence of veggies). The hotel room has a safe box (I consider it a plus, although Nepal is a very safe country). I found the bathroom cute, the shower door has an elegant modern design .

Kumari Boutique Hotel felt like home. A perfect piece of calm and tranquility amidst the busy streets of Kathmandu. The location is ideal, within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, spas, vibrant markets, and cultural heritage sites. Durbar Square, a UNESCO World heritage site, and the Garden of Dreams are within 10-15 mins walking distance. The hotel is charming with beautiful cultural architectural design elements on the outside and modern finishings for comfort on the inside. The wifi is fast. Equipped with an elevator for accessibility. The rooms are clean and there are only 18 rooms so it's nice and quiet. The staff are warm and kind. Always ready to help. I was able to exchange money and even take advantage of their tour desk. The food is amazing! Order the traditional Nepali curry chicken set for lunch or dinner. They also offer complimentary masala tea. As a solo female traveler I felt absolutely safe. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

LOCATION: The hotel is located at the end of a very quiet street, No horns or city noises can be heard from the rooms. Yet is close to the bustle of Thamel. PROPERTY: The entire construction of the building is to minimize noise and allow guests to have quiet rooms. The extraordinary attention to this is amazing! STAFF: Wonderful staff! Always ready to support! Front desk is 24x7. The staff went out of their way to help with any details at all. I could not ask for more. The architecture inside and out is lovely. The interior decorations and the furniture choices are all in very good taste. I asked for a taxi - it was there in moments! FACILITIES: The internet speed that was free and available 24x7 is incredible!!! Download and upload speeds are better than I normally get at home! Although I was not traveling "for work", there were a few work-related tasks that I was able to complete very easily from my room. The AC unit in the room is very functional, powerful and much appreciated. Everything is so clean, including the fully modern bathroom. Everything works! I didn't even have to ask. RESTAURANT: The menu is quite complete with veg and non-veg choices. Restaurant setting is clean and attractive with outdoor seating available. Room service is available and prompt.

ATM and Spa were not onsite, but both are a very close 2 min walk to respectable places.

I would highly recommend this hotel as an ideal base to explore Kathmandu and the surrounding valley. Located on the edge of Thamel it was only a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and bars and the main Durbar Sauare. Situated in a quiet side street it had no noisy traffic. Rooms were big, cleaned daily, had air con and were comfortable. The staff were lovely. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a warm welcome when we walked through the hotel doors. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs made to order. It was a perfect start to the day. We arranged two trips through the hotel- Kathmandu city tour which covers the main sites in and around the city and a Kathmandu valley tour to Baktapur. Both tours were considerably cheaper than booking through a tour company.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days and it was a wonderful experience, it is tucked away at the end of the narrow lanes and it is very quiet. We had book a executive suite which was big enough for both of us and we had a view of the city. Bed was very comfortable with billows. The washroom and shower was clean and excellent, hot shower was always available. Room server was very attentive. The breakfast was included and it was excellent, they made us masala chai every morning and good veg omelet. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

In the rooms you can't smoke, if you do so you will be charged. The bed 🛏️ lingerie was Very clean. The room is big enough. The hotel has outside a little space to drink your coffee ☕ and smoke, with chairs and tables. The hotel is situated in Thamel, which is a Very good and vibrant area, but on a street Very quiet 🤫. The manager of the hotel is Very kind and he gave us important and useful information about Kathmandu and also about the real prices of the taxis. This thing helped us to negociate Very well with the driver, because they ask for triple when they see you a tourist, and in the taxi 🚕🚖 they don't have taximeter.

When I paid cash the receptionist didn't give me the change. Is not much what he keeped but I preferred to be my decision about the change to keep him. It's a little detail that for me does matter...

The location is very central and convenient. The rooms and building is very modern, clean and cosy. We were offered free breakfast during our stay as well, and the hotel is surrounded by nice restaurants and very short walking distance to shops in Thamel. Even though there were other hotels in the area, Kumari is located in a corner where cars cannot drive past, this was a good bonus as the cars and bikes can be quite noisy! Don't worry, your taxi can still stop right at the front door of the hotel! The staff are very friendly and help organised taxi service to and from the airport. Everything was very seamless, smooth and comfortable, overall our stay was really good and we would choose Kumari again if we return to Kathmandu.

The beds are quite soft, would prefer a firmer mattress.

This property is well located. Lobby, outdoor sitting area , room all were well maintained. I really appreciate the warm hospitality . All staff are so super helpful at reception or at restaurants , transfer desk I really want to recommend this property And will be staying again on my next trip . We liked everything about the Kumari Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu. The location in a quiet, narrow street away from the main traffic areas in Thamel was perfect for a peaceful sleep but still close-by to restaurants and shops etc. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and did everything possible to ensure we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Breakfast ( included in the price) was delicious and the rooms were clean, spacious and furnished with really comfortable beds. Thank you very much Kumari Boutique Hotel- we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Kathmandu 😊🌟
