Super friendly staff- the room was ready earlier than expected, when we arrived just to drop luggage! Lovely coffee and a nice 10% off when drinking in the bar- staff are happy to help and explain the different tipples available 🍻 My partner and I walked up some super steep typical Amsterdam stairs, to enter an amazing big room with wooden beading above the super comfy bed! The room was split into two parts, and ensuite! The sitting area had a massage chair situated in front of a gorgeous window that opens fully, bringing in the sounds of the nearby hustle and bustle. The view was immense! The bathroom/wet room is decorated beautifully and consists of a huge deep bath with a separate shower.. a touch button mirror with blue lighting that is just perfect for a relaxing spa 🛁 The location was perfect, short walk from all tourist areas- some lovely cocktail bars, pubs and restaurants located on the same street.. we honestly, cannot wait to come again, we was looking at future bookings before leaving for our ferry ⛴️

This hotel is right in the heart of Amsterdam, and we couldn't have picked a better spot! The location was perfect—literally steps away from all the action, which made getting around super easy. The staff were super friendly and helped us out with anything we needed. The vibe inside the hotel was really cozy and welcoming, with a traditional design. Plus, after a long day exploring the city, it was great to come back to such a comfortable and chill place. Definitely a top pick if you’re looking to stay in the city center! Can’t wait to come back !

The hotel had an excellent location. It was one of the most sought-after location in the city of Amsterdam. It is just beside the Amsterdam Centraal train station (a few mins walk), a two mins walk from tram and bus stops, and a few mins walk to the Amsterdam Canal Cruise. A few mins walk to Oude Kirk, Our Lord in the Attic museum, Sexmuseum etc. Tourists staying in other places have to pay and commute to come to this area, but we were basically staying there. So in that way it was amazing. The location was one of the top cafe-restaurants and party areas of the city. The hotel had a great bar at the ground floor, along with a lot of bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants at its absolute vicinity. The bathroom and toilet were nice and clean.

The room was very small. The amenities was very basic. The staircase was extremely steep and very less space to climb up. We had trouble ascending the staircase to Level 2 because of its cramp and steep nature. I understand that the city of Amsterdam is expensive and the location of the hotel is pitch perfect, but I believe considering everything else, also considering the bathroom was hared between four rooms, as well as less space and less amenities in the room, the price of the room was very expensive. It should have been no more than 90-95 Euro. It was also very noisy in the night due to all tourists roaming outside in the streets due to all those pubs and bars. The hotel provided us with ear guards for sleep.

Hotel Internationaal is as Amsterdam as it gets. We loved the location in the city center and close to train station, trams and buses, downstairs local cafe/bar, staff and locals, rooms and shared facilities. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. We enjoyed chatting up the bartenders, locals and visitors from around the globe, in and out of the cafe/bar. Everything was perfection and close to everything we could imagine. We felt safe, comfortable, everything seemed clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the Wi-Fi and discounts for downstairs cafe/bar. Outside our side street window was a massage place that had the best reflexology foot massage I’ve ever had. Went there twice. We ate Dutch pancakes twice outside our front door block off by construction, the workers let us pass to get in. Best pancakes we ever had or will have our lives. Eating, shopping, exploring, biking, smoking, resting, late night sweets, fries with sauces and toppings several times a time. We can’t say enough.

The stairs took some getting use to but we got the hang of it. We had our windows open most of the time to let the winter cold air in. There was a lot of noise in the early morning from construction and late night/early morning hours of people in the city but can’t expect less in the city center. In our second room it had two massive windows that opened fully to a side street which we loved. In the first room, we had only one window that opened partially to a main street and propped up with a piece of wood. We used a hanger instead but wished it went all the way up but we made do and utilized the fan and/or spent most of our time in the other room. No biggy.

Our expectations were low but this place was A+, Staff is very friendly and helpful, i really liked the location because it was close to the train station and basically everything was in walking distance. The rooms are not in a best condition but this is jot a 4star hotel, haha. It's perfectly liveable and a good option for budget travellers!

The rooms are clean, a bit noisy because of the busy street but nothing exceptional. Ventilation of the toilet and shower could be improved because the humid and stale air can not leave the place.

The room was what we expected, big windows, great heating, comfy beds. The location is perfect, it's next to the train station and right in the city center. We shared the bathroom and it was better than we thought, it was clean and we never had to wait. The girl who checked us in was nice and stored our bags before check-in time :)

This was not a problem for us but if you get the room with the street view and you're staying for the weekend you will hear noise. This is totally normal because the location is centric, it's the weekend and it's Amsterdam. You'll find earplugs when you go in the room (that's a nice detail). But again, this was not a problem for us :)

The location is perfect for tourists, we didn’t use any transport within the city as the sites were all walking distance. We arrived in centraal station on the Thalys and it was a 4 min walk to the hotel. Lots of bars and restaurants in this busy street. Everything closes around 1am so didn’t have any problems with noise. We booked the private bathroom which has nice facilities and is on the 3rd floor - steep stairs which are common in Amsterdam. There was opening windows and a fan.

The pillows were terrible to sleep on - but the bed itself was comfortable.

The location is ideal in the respect that it is, literally, right in downtown Amsterdam. Super close walk to Centraal Station for connecting with transportation. This is priced really affordably and is a great value!

Ironically, the fact that it's right in downtown - and over the bar - is is also the kind-of bad part as you'll hear street revelers late at night. The Hotel did provide earplugs, which is a nice touch and really helps. Also, be careful on the steep stairs.

Great location, walking distance within pretty much every attraction! The pub underneath was really nice, friendly staff and even offer 10% discount to those who stay. Room was clean, and actually much nicer, and bigger than anticipated.

The bedroom could do with being decorated more modern (like the bathroom has been!) and perhaps install a head board so you can sit up comfortably in bed. We had to prop our bags behind the pillows to allow for this. Didn’t effect the stay in anyway, would just help with comfort!

Location was impressive as well as the size of the room. Probably the biggest room I've stayed in while in Amsterdam. I found it to be a bit loud at night but I expected no less from a city centre hotel. My friend however, slept like a baby. The shower was fantastic! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay and the only suggestion I have is to maybe leave a few spare bin bags somewhere in the room as the rubbish piles up without regular room service. The stairs may be a bit much for some. They were steep and plentiful.
