The hotel is an excellent choice not only because of its proximity to the train station and city attractions, but also because of the general impression it makes on the guest. The lobby and reception are decorated in a way that gives the impression of being larger than they are. This is not a minus, but an indication that great attention has been paid to the decoration of the hotel. Our room, measuring 20 square meters, was located in the main building on the second floor. It was spacious enough for our needs, but for a couple traveling with two large suitcases it would have seemed cramped and they would have had to use the bed to open their suitcases. For Amsterdam, a 20 square meter room is among the more spacious and much more expensive hotels than this have rooms of the same size, while most other hotels have rooms smaller than 20 square meters. This is also not a minus and we just want to emphasize that you should reduce your expectations to a realistic level. The bathroom is small but extremely functional. The sink is large enough to accommodate your necessities. The shower cabin is spacious and has both a waterfall shower and a hand shower, which is a big plus. The soundproofing from the street is excellent and we had no problems sleeping. The bed is large enough and very comfortable. The power socket was on one side of the bed which was not a problem as we always take power strips and extension cords with us when we travel. There are a few more sockets, USB connectors and a mains socket under the TV. We paid extra for a room with a canal view and it was worth every penny. The view is exceptional. Breakfast is continental and plentiful. Self-service, with eggs ordered from the menu. Breakfast time is from 7 to 11, with the restaurant being most busy from 10 to 11, so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table to become available. The coffee from the machine both in the room and at breakfast is fantastic.

Nothing substantial, just minor things like AC needs few minutes to start heating, and it requires toilet doors to be closed. Room could have more power outlets next to the bed including usb ports which would save you from some negative comments. Sink in the toilet was cracked. It didn’t leak but it just lesser our impression of hotel a bit.

The location was absolutely fantastic, the staff was amazing, and we would like to give a special shoutout to the bar staff who went above and beyond. We had a king bed for my husband and I and it was the most comfortable bed throughout our travels on this trip. There was an additional smaller bed brought in for our daughter and once again it was the most comfortable bed she slept in on our trip. We were across the street from the main transit station, which is not only aesthetically beautiful, but very convenient when we had to take the train. We were close to everything and walked everywhere with the exception of when we took trains outside of Amsterdam. We highly recommend this hotel.

The elevators were extremely small (but cute). Sometimes we had to wait several times to go up and down the elevator because we had to wait for other guests. But in the whole scheme of things, it really wasn't a big deal.

Room was lovely except where it was located on first floor but down few steps to get to our room and no view as we had late flight and came by train which was ideal re hotel location but as we were last checking in on the day all the good location rooms were allocated! as iv two hip replacement it wasn’t ideal to use steps we were told we could move following day if another room came available but we didn’t bother asking Also our tv kept freezing

I loved the prime location of the hotel, which made it incredibly convenient to explore Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, making it a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices to start the day right.

The view from my room was less impressive than expected, overlooking an inner courtyard. Additionally, the central location, while convenient, did result in some street noise during the evenings. The breakfast area could get crowded, leading to occasional waits for a table.

This was our fourth visit to hotel now and we love it. The staff are always pleasant and professional.The gentlemen who provide the concierge/security service are especially great.

Not much choice on the television for English guests once we settled down for the night. We did notice one or two broken items around the hotel such as the mirror/glass behind the coffee machine in our room and the display panels in the lift. This is the first time we have noticed things of this nature at the hotel. We had a lovely view of the canal but the curtains would only either fully open or fully close and due to the very large windows we found the room far too bright with the curtains open.

Incredible location. Hotel was amazing, up to date facilities, with a modern look, as well as comfy bed.

Felt ripped off when paying extra for the iconic view which was a tiny little window looking at the train station. Noise level was really loud at night, but to be expected when in a central location. On the 3rd day when our room was cleaned, the rubbish bag was left in our room, mugs weren’t cleaned or replaced, just turned upside down to look as if they had been cleaned and some of the dirty towels were left too.

This hotel is all about location, right in the center so it’s very convenient to travel to the main attractions. Rooms were comfortable and clean with great view of the canal.

Staff didn’t seem welcoming and non friendly. Our room was pretty much good size that would fit a family of four. The hotel staff suggested teen kids are treated as adults and 4 adults are not allowed to stay in one room, which was really weird. We were forced to get another room which added to the expense. I was not happy about it at all.

Check-in was easy & fast. Room was not ready early but staff willingly stored our luggage for the day & we had access all day as needed. Room was very clean & comfy - very modern. Excellent location in the city. Concierge staff was excellent & very patient with our questions. Needed a taxi for early departure & they handled it & we had transportation in minutes.

Ice machine not working on multiple floors. Could have used literature in the room for amenities in the room and local "must sees". Breakfast seemed overpriced for a buffet, but they did have a lot of choices. Eco room service discount was only for the hotel bar & not clearly explained.

Very well situated- great location and very high tech rooms. Everything is computerized including opening and closing the drapes. Modern clean bathrooms, and very helpful staff at Concierge desk. Directly across from central station as well as all the canal cruises.

Make sure your taxi driver has permission to drop you off directly in front of hotel. It’s restricted to bikes and only certain taxis. We had to walk a few blocks as our Driver wouldn’t drive right up front.

The location was perfect. The online check-in option, the digital key, and the easy check-in and check out. The view from my room overlooking the Canal and the Central Station was buetiful. Very friendly staff with a very special thanks to Dennis. Street noise was well isolated.

Noise from other neighboring rooms, especially from some wild gusts at some nights. The hotel has only one entrance with a big revolving door. I believe the hotel needs to have one extra door and exit. When there are big groups, it becomes little difficult and sometimes frustrating to wait to get in or out when the door keep stopping. There was no ramp for wheelchairs and luggage, and the wheelchair lift was not working in some days. The windows in my room can't be reached due to the air conditioning barrier
