Location was great. Staff were very welcoming and the hotel decor was incredible. Fantastic air conditioning!

We were in a room with a sofa bed and two twin beds, the sofa bed was incredibly hard, just a board with a thin mattress topper about 2 inches thick. There was no wardrobe in the room so nowhere to store the clothes. This meant we were living out of a suitcase with clothes strewn over the room which meant we weren't able to get housekeeping in each morning as the room was a mess. Chose the hotel as it had a restaurant attached so would make our stay easier without dragging kids around the city looking for food they would eat, however the week we stayed the restaurant wasn't open the whole week, no idea why.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, in a beautiful area and easy accessible to all areas via the tram. Gorgeous food places nearby. Would recommend for the location alone.

We requested the twin beds, (staying with my teenager!) yes it’s written that it may not be possible. But I think if you’re booking a room you should get what you’ve asked for and offer only what’s available. We had to share the double bed the first night wasn’t ideal! But we were given a twin room the next night. Also be aware that there is no door to shower fine if you’re a couple not ideal staying with your teenager.

Our room was very spacious with a separate sitting area with an L couch. We had a Deluxe room that you entered through the garden. It was nice to be able to enter and exit through the garden. The bathroom floors were heated and the rain shower was very hot and had good pressure. The staff was very accommodating storing our luggage when we arrived prior to check in and after check out before we left for our flight later in the day. We even accidentally left our passports in the safe and they were able to retrieve them in time for us to get to our flight on time! The location is perfect. We could walk anywhere we wanted. Also located in a less touristy area so there are less people walking around this are than the city center.

Very stylish, calm and comfortable hotel. Close to everything.

We indicated a double bed on a non-refundable booking. After it was confirmed, I received a message stating that a double bed wasn't guaranteed and was dependent on the availability. I sent a hotel a few messages, but no one replied. When we arrived we got a twin bed, which was very unfortunate for us (had to sleep on it for 1 night). First the receptionist said there was nothing they could do, but after, they offered to place some covers to join the beds and they did. This solved our issue. Maybe they could do this before guests arrival, to avoid any discomfort.

Just off the Prinsengracht canal, it was so handy to walk everywhere. Anne Frank house, Westerkerk and the canal boat trips were less than 5 minutes walk away. We were in the main building in room 411. It was so peaceful. We couldn't hear anyone in any of the other rooms. The room was spacious with tasteful decor, and the bed was SO comfortable. Lovely large walk-in shower too. We felt very at home. Breakfast caters for everyone. It is buffet style, but also the chef is there for freshly cooked options such as waffles, pancakes, omelets and eggs in whichever format you desire. We also enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the restaurant. It was beautifully presented and absolutely cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was to die for! All the staff were friendly and approachable. Kirsten, in particular, was so lovely at check in and helping out with a couple of queries. Just to note that the bar isn't open every night - didn't bother us though, as there are plenty of places to go in he surrounding area. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

The staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. The bar is gorgeous and the rooms have an air of staying at your grans place. I appreciated the aircon immensely! There are nice touches like the wifi speaker and coffee machine.

There was no wardrobe in the room, it was ok because I only had two items of clothing to hang up and there were hooks. The bed was soft but the mattresses on both sides (it's two singles pushed together) rolled into the middle so I woke up throughout the night wedged between the beds. There isn't a desk to work from either.

We were a group of 4 ladies and we stayed in the Duplex Room for 4 nights. The room was really awesome with good facilities and housekeeping was excellent

The hotel and room was nicely furnished and decorated and kept clean. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a good variety of options. Staff were friendly

Our room was only serviced once during our whole stay. I would have liked our linen and towels to be refreshed and also the water temperature could have been a little hotter. The glasses and cups were not replaced with new ones either after use each day. Not having a door to the bathroom was also odd and a bit of a hassle but we used the coat screen in the room for privacy.

It was punishingly expensive but it was available in a time I needed a bed/room I honestly have never spent more money on a room and booking.com took advantage of situation a friend called hotel and the price was about 100 euros Les from the hotel and I was trapped I booked non refundable .....not hotels fault but in future will NOT book through these sights this was monetary abuse...congrats to booking.com they win I lost big money

The hotel is a beautiful old building. stylishly and beautifully designed and decorated. The bar and reception areas are chic and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and very willing to offer advice and assistance. The rooms are luxurious, quiet, comfortable and well designed.

Only one minor criticism. The room we were originally allocated wasn't what I expected. We spoke to the reception staff who moved us right away without any protest for fuss. It was very much appreciated.
