The room was exactly like the photos, I loved the interior! The Christmas decorations were also lovely! Comfortable room with all the appliances and they even had balloons and swans in the room to celebrate our anniversary, along with a present for us! Such a sweet and thoughtful touch :) the neighbourhood also felt very safe!

The location isn’t as close to the centre as people have mentioned. I thought it was much closer judging by the 9.6 rating for location, but it is a good bit of a walk away from dam square and the red light district etc . The lighting in the room was terrible, it was so dark. No light above the long mirror in the room, which was needed in my opinion

No help from staff with the luggage to/from room (we carried it our self). No drinking water and tissues in room. Stairs to the room which is un-convenient when carrying luggage and maybe for elderly. Far from Dam Square. I believe this hotel is expensive compared to the room, facilities and services. Umbrella usage is not free.

Close to central Amsterdam Despite not having a restaurant the Hotel had given great thought to advise customers of places to eat Efficient and good value breakfast offering.

Great location, nice view, friendly staff, fast response to requests. It was very close to both the Dam Square and on the opposite side the Amsterdam Central Station. It felt good to be in a local neighborhood, and in a typical Amsterdam building overlooking a canal. The breakfast was not included, but you could order it day before for €15 per person. However, they didn’t have a buffet breakfast. You ordered from a menu which had different selections for eggs, toasts and cereal. That is why we preferred to have breakfast at other local cafés and sandwich stops in the area.

The walls were too thin, and you could hear people talking and stomping their feet on the upper floor. Also, even though the bathroom was very wide and newly refurbished, the actual shower was very narrow and the shower curtain was touching all over your body when you are trying to take a shower. This was pretty annoying. Complementary tea bags was not refilled every day.

Great location, room size, comfortable beds, friendly & helpful staff, availability of triple rooms (we are a family of 5, so we could fit in 2 rooms); loved that they provided a list of recommended restaurants.

Unusual shower set up in the triple room (shower & toilet in same room w/ shower curtain hung VERY close to shower head (couldn’t close it without it actually touching you) so water went all over that room), but we made it work. The bathroom itself was super large with a separate tub (only hand held there) and two sinks - would’ve been better to just combine the shower head into the tub and add a door. In the double room, the shower was in the tub.

The location was great as my partner and I are both lovers of Jordaan area. We always pick a hotel and room with a canal view, and this one didn't disappoint. The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was also fair for a nice hotel in this area.

Upon checking into our room we discovered the door latch was not latching. Meaning, after we left the room anyone could just push on the door and walk into our room. This wasn't obvious, and only could someone figure that out if they pushed on the door. However it was a huge security concern. The front desk man came to look at the door and he was not able to fix it. He scheduled it to be fixed the next day (which it did get fixed). Our concern was the first day while we were out that anyone could just walk into the room. While we were in the room we were able to deadlock the door shut. So this was just a concern while we were out. The staff monitored our room while we were out so they did the best they could with what they had until it was fixed. Still... not a great first impression.

We recently stayed at Hotel Sebastians and had a fantastic experience. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were all wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The daily breakfast was a real highlight, with a delicious variety of options that made starting the day a treat. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station, and surrounded by great shopping and delicious food options. Another awesome perk was they had a room to hold the whole family that had 4 beds. I would definitely be happy to visit again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay!

The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. the bar was very atmospheric and the bar tender attentive. I loved the coffee maker in the room with small little cups and saucers, and the sheets and linens were very soft. the room is very small but the windows opened up to the street and canal which was very fun to watch. the room was very unique and intimate. the bathroom was updated and clean though very small...like cruise ship bathroom small.

I was unable to accomplish the online check in the night before so waited until am to do so. unfortunately I had to leave at 7AM and no one was at the desk. I tried calling the afterhours number but could not get through. I eventually was able to complete the online checkin.

Stayed as a group with 6 kids under the age of 12, since this was not a big star hotel was a bit concerned but they handled us in the best possible way. Special thanks to the staff who were all extremely friendly. Location is awesome, can view from the rooms have the perfect feel of Amsterdam and within walkable distance to almost all attractions. Clean neat rooms and housekeeping was great. Family room for 4 was really nice and the bath was pretty spacious…. The largest by far in have seen in Amsterdam. The quality of toiletries was top notch …. I am very particular and carry my own everywhere but very few places I feel the ones provided by the hotel are better n this was one such place.

Sunday night post King’s Day stay before returning to UK. Great central stylish boutique hotel less than 10 minutes walk from Centraal Station. Very welcoming and charming staff. Comfortable funky rooms. Faced the back over a garden area so nice and peaceful given the central location. Definitely stay again and can recommend with no hesitation. Short walk to a few good restaurants too. Having stayed with friends over the weekend this proved to be a good find for our final restful night. Complimentary drink a nice touch. Didn’t eat breakfast as planned that for the lounge in Schiphol so cannot comment on food. Perfect hotel for a 2-3 night city stay.
