Singel Hotel is just a perfect place to stay in Amsterdam for any family or businessmen who like peaceful environment, but still location in the heart of city. Stuff is unusually friendly and will help you with any interest points of the city or gives suggestions which place to visit. Unusual and really nice small gift is waiting for visitors on bed instead of usual candy. Also another gift was made when leaving the hotel. The rooms are clean and nicely renovated + very interesting architecture. If you are lucky to stay in front side rooms, then can be seen also spectacular view to one of small channels in Amsterdam with its boat traffic and living boats. Hotel is serving also breakfast of course, just my flight schedule unfortunately didn't allow me to experience it. But I am sure its very good as well. The location on this very quiet street. The staff were very helpful. A detailed map of the city was provided and very helpful for our orientation to the area. safe entry to the building with an elevator with key access as extra security. Since we arrived early we appreciated our luggage could be secured while we enjoyed the city. The room was very quiet and private. The in room safe was excellent.

The coffee machine was dirty and unclean. I ran water in it on 3 occasions and the water came poured out all over the desk and brown in color I reported it to the desk 3 times. I received a note on it that the machine handle needs to be placed in the down position. It never worked and I came to lobby to get a cup of hot water so I could make tea. The staff offered the coffee machine in the lobby.

Location was outstanding. A few minutes walk to Centraal Station and the Old Centre but out enough not to be bothered. Continental breakfast was very good. Room had a nice view of the Singel Canal. All the staff were friendly, helpful, engaging and knowledgeable. I would absolutely consider returning.

The single room was very small. They managed to get a sink, shower and a toilet into the bathroom, if very snug. Was fine for me as a 173cm solo traveller without much stuff. Looking at the floor plan the double and twin rooms looked like they had plenty of room.

I stayed in Singel Hotel for 3 nights with my mom. We felt welcome since the first day! Our room was upgraded so it was bigger than we expected. The room was super clean, a special thank you for the cleaning lady that took care of our room while we were out exploring the city. Our beds were really comfortable and we slept very peacefully. The staff was very helpful and kind. Sometimes during the day we would have a small break in the hotel lounge and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea free of charge. The breakfast was also great, lots of fresh things to choose from. Would definitely come again!

I liked the overall experience. Fantastic location and a great choice. The Singel Hotel is less than 10 minutes' walk from the Central Station. It isn't very big which makes it cosy. Although it is in the city center, the street is very quiet and the neighborhood is beautiful. Nice room, clean and spacious enough, comfortable bed, desk space to do some work. The house even has a lift to get to the upper floors (which is seldom in Amsterdam). The selection for breakfast was very good. What made my stay special was the staff. Everyone was nice, extraordinarily helpful, and friendly. They try to accommodate every request. You just feel welcome. The heater in my room didn't work properly, so the room was very cold. The receptionist could offer only an extra bedsheet, which was a bit disappointing. But while I was on a walk around the city, they checked the situation and arranged an additional heater in my room. I appreciate how they care about their guests.

The view from my window was to another window at a distance of 1.5 meters. But that's perfectly fine in the center of Amsterdam. It did not change my impression of the stay.

Beautiful little hotel. Very convenient for the station, without feeling like you’re in the slightly run down bit of the centre. You feel like you’re properly on the canal ring, and the Jordaan is a stones throw away. Staff were absolutely lovely, and were a pleasure to deal with. We had a canal view room, and it was perfect to wake up to that every morning.

There’s very little not to enjoy, so long as you go into booking it knowing that it is a traditional canal house. So rooms are not enormous (though plenty big enough for me, and larger than a Premier Inn room), the stairs are quite steep (but there is a lift), and the bathroom is a wet room, rather than a shower cubicle (which I prefer). My only criticism, is that the pillows were a little lumpy, but that is partly on me as I never raised it when I was there. So it obviously didn’t bother me much!

The staff was really polite and the room had an amazing view of the canal in front. The breakfast was very rich and of good quality and they were not in a hurry to collect all the food just because it was about to be over.

The building is renovated, but only on the surface. It needs a real renovation. The floors are creaky and uneven, the room makes you feel you're on a ship as the floor is lower on one side than on the other. The windows are of one thin layer so every step a person takes on the street, you can hear it and the bathroom was worse than in my hall of residence in the university with a curtain that sticks to your body and then goes inside the toilet ...

The hotel was great for my short stay combining business and pleasure, the location was perfect close to Central Station and all the main tourist attractions. Room was very clean and had all the amenities you need including great breakfast which was part of the package I opted for. I have to specially mention the very friendly front room staff who made my stay very pleasant and always there to help answer questions and things to do in the city. Lastly, they gave me great send off gift in the form of an Amsterdam souvenir which I never received from any other hotel and is greatly appreciated! I will definitely opt to stay here if I go back to Amsterdam!

Nothing to mention, everything was great!

This is a lovely small hotel that is close to the main train station but far enough away that the noise and crowds never bothered us. The staff are friendly and helpful and access was easy and the view from our room at the front of the building was beautifully typical of Amsterdam.

The room was perhaps a little smaller and more cramped that we'd expected/hoped, but there's so much to see and do in Amsterdam that we were only there for sleeping anyway. Notwithstanding the size the room was clean and well maintained.

Friendly and helpful staff. More than willing to suggest restaurants and places to visit. Lift to all floors. Excellent breakfast and happy hour. Ability to buy tram tickets from reception. Surprisingly peaceful location, close to the canal, near lots of restaurants and close to the train station. Would go back again.

No view from the room we had. Looked directly onto another wall. Other rooms had a canal view which we would ask for next time we visit.
