The staff at this Hostel is friendly and super helpful! I am very thankful for the fact that they allowed me to stay here for only one night during a super-long, overnight transit through Schiphol Airport. Staying here allowed me to experience Amsterdam at night, thanks to the central location of the hostel, the relatively affordable rates it offered, and the willingness of the staff to provide advice and answer any questions that I had about the city. I was able to enjoy a pint of beer on the pub on site late into the night, I felt that my personal belongings were secure during my stay, and the bed I slept in was clean and comfortable. Typically, I am not one to book a room at a hostel, but my experience was delightful and I was able to get some very good rest in my room before catching my connecting flight the next day. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to explore Amsterdam on a budget.

The price. Even though booking a bed at this hostel was far cheaper than any of the other accommodations in the surrounding area, I just have to point out that booking a bed at this hostel cost me more than a stay at a four-star hotel in Croatia. It is what it is, but for anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam, just be aware of the fact that you will need to budget your money carefully since the Netherlands is one of more more expensive countries in Europe. Thankfully, this hostel exists, making it possible for budget-conscious travelers like myself to explore Amsterdam without spending too much and the staff are really helpful, but do be mindful of the fact that Amsterdam is not a cheap city to visit.

Great Stay. I had a wonderful experience at this hostel. The vibe was fantastic, and everything was clean. I stayed for about 7 days in a 6-bed female dorm, which surprisingly had a private bathroom. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and any issues we encountered were addressed promptly, no delays at all. If you have to travel around Amsterdam, meet new people and just hit the sack to take some rest I would recommend the hostel for solo travellers and backpackers. The location was also a major plus. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel for a comfortable stay

The only drawback was the pricing during the weekends; it felt 📈 steep for the amenities offered. There was no chair in the room. It was uncomfortable to sit in the bunker beds to talk with roommates or even pack/unpack.

The location is great - right in the middle. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and the kitchen had great space and signage. There was a dining room area which we loved. The staff were always very friendly. There was luggage storage which was accessible after we checked out.

The kitchen is only open to a certain time which caught us a few times (but it is late). We were down some steep stairs so if you had big luggage it would be difficult which saw for a few people. There's more steep stairs to get to the kitchen which didn't affect us but something to have in consideration.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, the bar was cool. The really incredible thing about this place is the staff! Ricardo saw me sitting alone in the bar and asked me to play pool with a group, so I right away felt comfortable like this was a friendly place. Mandje helped answer questions about Dutch culture and was and amazing bartender listening to my crazy stories. Ian had the biggest friendliest smile every time I passed him and he ended up helping me make friends and being incredibly kind to me. Greg also helped me find my room when I rebooked in and was a great help.

There was one annoying thing… there is a really awesome common room in the basement but you can’t hang out in it after like 10pm, and also I couldn’t get INTO it (or any of my food in the kitchen) before 12pm any of the days because of cleaning from the paid breakfast. I get why and it isn’t a huge deal.

It was very lively, cheap drinks, had a smoke room, Lockers and we’re very accommodating

It was quite cold

I really liked the pillows of the beds and the comforters. The hostel itself was nice. The smoking room was super super handy and a great place to meet people as well as the bar. I liked being able to buy snacks and put my bags in the locker room before checking in as well. The outside smoking area was cool as well and the staff was so so nice and helpful. The location was AMAZING!! Everything is so close to the hostel making it a great experience

Our room had a dead cockroach in our closet, but no bugs or anything other than that. I didn't sleep the best because of people snoring, but that's not the fault of the staff or anything, so I recommend bringing ear plugs or headphones

Brilliant place,great location Clean good sized rooms & decent beds ,lockers ,plenty of toilets ,showers if you havnt got en suite . Everywhere tidy ,well maintained,clean! And it’s safe with Great mix of people there ! Staff are all helpful friendly and a good laugh,do a brilliant job ! great bar& smoking room,good vibe about the place ! It’s quiet in the rooms. ,everyone respects the rules and behaves when it’s late etc Realy good place to stay. Regardless your age or sex or anything! if your solo traveling ,with a group -whatever ,you will meet people make friends !

There’s Nothing not to like for me

Excellent location at the heart of Amsterdam. Close to the Central station and De Wallen with lots of food and shops in walking distance. The facility was decent and the staff was friendly. The dormitory bed I booked had a broken power socket so the staff just upgrade my room for free which was very nice of her. The pub downstair was pretty lively and had social event every night. Decent value for money, would recommend.

Even in the room on the second floor you can still hear the music downstairs which could be a little noisy sometimes. You have to pay for lockers to store your luggage after you check out.

It's kinda normal thing in everywhere especially in Amsterdam but everyone is so easy going, helpful and extremely happy.Hostel kinda in hearth of the center so just plan and go how good is that! Depend on what you're looking for in "Amsterdam!" but like I said you can find everything close. Kings day... if you read this review you should make reservation for next one whole city is festival and we new comers didn't even know what's what then it happens BAM! Hostel kinda have everything in moderation and like I said they do their best to answer well just come and see

Dryers broken, I mean both of them and well they gone forever; it's not a good thing for hostel that packed. another issue I can understand it's for the economy but second floor showers can really use soap in them.. toilets really tight space and need at least 1 more check in day because not everybody that thoughtful or clean and when you have a tight schedule you don't want use WhatsApp at all. Most importantly room need another hanger for towels or coats that was the worst part and I stayed in 4 ppl room can't imagine others.

Every thing was fantastic. I have back pain and I cannot sleep on any kind of bed. The beds were surprisingly so comfortable. The staff were so supportive and nice. Bar was open till 03:00 AM. And everything was so clean (Toilets, Rooms, Bathrooms, Beds, etc). We were very satisfied with the location. It was located in the center. You can find Mc Donald, grocery stores, pharmacy, bakery, train station and every thing you need, so close (around 2minutes for each one). In general, I can say I will go there next time again.

Just the lights. If the lights in the rooms were more powerful, I would be more happy. I found the rooms a little dark because of the lights type.
