I brought my family to Amsterdam for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding. I wanted to make sure we chose a hotel that had both big and quiet rooms, a great gym, centrally located, and excellent workspace options. Art'otel exceeded expectations on all of the above! **** Rooms - We booked 3 Iconic View Rooms. The rooms are way bigger than what you would typically find in Amsterdam especially for the price. The king size beds were incredibly comfortable, with a few different pillow options, and high quality sheets. Unlike many hotels these days, the maid service came every single day to clean, change towels, and make the bed. Given how central the location of the hotel is right in the middle of everything Amsterdam has to offer, the rooms were surprisingly quiet with thick glass windows that shut out any sound from the street while still offering the iconic view of Amsterdam Centraal. **** Gym - We've been traveling Europe for 5 weeks and this was by far the best. It's a huge space with brand new equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, resistance machines, free weights, and yoga mats. We went every day and basically had the place to ourselves. There's also a beautiful pool and sauna downstairs from the gym that was well maintained and a super nice post workout activity. **** Workspace - You have 2 full floors of workspaces including a more secluded lounge upstairs and nice chairs and couches downstairs. The Wifi was strong and more than enough for high quality video calls and streaming. We worked from the lounge every day and never had an issue with being disturbed. **** Staff - The staff was always super friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any guests in a pleasant manner. We did have an issue arise on our floor and the staff resolved it promptly. Niels Erenstein, GM of the hotel, even took the time to have a conversation with me regarding this to ensure we were happy with the resolution.

The location. Near to the train stations and shopping streets and to district. Thanks to Francisco for helping me to find good shops if you know what i mean.

You can see the hotel from the train station, so it was an easy walk to get there. Because of the things Amsterdam is known for (women and weed), there can be some sketchy looking people around. Because of this, we appreciated the fact that the hotel is in a busy area. We felt comfortable walking to and from the hotel, even at night. The hotel is very neat and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but we got sodas in the bar area. The bar staff was also very friendly and gave us several local restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, super friendly staff and awesome facilities Staff went the extra mile and on request made the room up with love hearts on the bed for an anniversary Thought it was great the staff offered an incentive if you chose to not have your room cleaned for 2 nights to be more eco friendly - bottle of wine was a lovely touch

Wish it specified in description the mini fridge contents in room was chargeable, as I was disappointed on arrival about this Pool / gym facilities shared with adjoined cheaper hotel - thus the pool at times became busy with noisy children / families - which was not the vibe of our hotel being quite an adult / wellness focussed and unruly children were being very loud and disruptive in sauna area

Staff was amazing. Particularly nice experience were the concierges (we met two of them during our stay) who both seemed to have 'Pro-actively spreading good vibes at the reception area' as part of their job description. Not to forget the rest of front desk personnel who were also all very nice, friendly and helpful. Young atmosphere. Beds are super good and room clean. Nice pool area, even if not the biggest. Would most likely go again for next visit to Amsterdam.

Design and furniture of room rather dark for my taste (kind of artsy). We had to wait very long time (like 45 minutes) without prior notice for a simple food order in the bar the first evening of our stay. Our (very sweet) waiter apologized also in the end saying something that the waiting time also surprised her (!) and offered free dessert which we unfortunately were too full to accept. Careful with the minibar in the room, bottle of water is more than 6 euros!

The location was excellent very convenient. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The spa facilities were why we booked this place and they were very good, large sauna and decent size pool. Breakfast was varied with lots of options and a long window of opportunity to take your breakfast. They served chicken sausages not just pork! Staff were fine, offering to book taxis / restaurants for us. the concierge was very lovely super friendly and chatty. Laundry service was affordable and got rid of stains in a cream cardigan!

For the price paid I think more could have been provided in the room, we got 1 bottle water for 2 days and nights. Breakfast was ok but some of the items were left to sit out which deterred me from trying eg cheeses sliced and left out uncovered. I think for the price of breakfast quality could have been better eg fresh juices and proper butter, but I am quite particular about these things where others may not be!

Location (distance to the central station)

Cars can’t stop directly in front of the hotel. If you have heavy and big luggages, it could be a bit cumbersome to walk from nearest drop off location.

We enjoyed our stay . All the staff are welcoming and cooperative. They give us free upgrade with amazing view on Amsterdam central station. There is complementary water and biscuit in the room , as well different kind of dishes on breakfast menu which is so similar to Arabic culture . It was not the first and definitely not the last visit . Really one of the best hotel you can visit worldwide forever . Big Love highly recommended!

Coffee machine was not cleaned well , there is like a white dust inside water container. No tooth brush or toothpaste.

. Lively & lovely staff full of energy and willing to offer advice and assistance and were esponsive to my inquiry & requests prior to my arrival. . Location is great, front of the central station and around the corner of the Damrak, which was perfect for my short 4 day stay in mid May. . I love the fragrance scent they use at the reception entrance area which gives a feeling of freshness & cleanness. . I booked a twin room with Atrium view for a quite surrounding. It was spacious, lovely contemporary decoration, comfortable mattress & pillows and good quality bed linen, nice bathroom with strong hair drier. . Breakfast was alright and acceptable.

. I hope the hotel would add at least one Arabic TV channel, like Al-Jazeera Arabic news channel, or BBC Arabic news tv channel, specially i have seen many Arabic tourists from different Arabic countries were guests at the hotel all year long. . You need to inform reception if you want to change your bed sheets. . High price, and could be more clean specially after guests check out after their stay. House keeping should pay attention to everything in the room from up to down and to hidden corners. For example the side tables was sticky from the bed side when I checked-in the room. Full cleaning and hygiene is a basic thing for hotel housekeeping routine after each guest.
