The hotel location is right in the city center of Haarlem, very close you'll have very good restaurants and bars. In fact, it's next to a bar/restaurant which I believe is part of the hotel (noise wasn't an issue tho). We checked in late so the check in process was done through phone (and a keybox), nevertheless it was quick and easy. First impressions of the room were amazing, the rooms are spacious, clean, cozy, elegant and modern. We definitely weren't expecting a room this nice for the price. It is also worth mentioning that while there's a shower in the bathroom, there's a bathtub in the room, watching tv while taking a nice bubble bath after a long day of walking is the perfect wrap-up for any day. Some additional thoughts: Wifi was functional and speedy, beds were very comfy and the fact that you get a lot of pillows of different shapes and sizes is something I appreciate greatly and a lot more places should do. We didn't try the breakfast because we had to leave early but caught a glance and it looked good. If I ever come back to Harleem, I wouldn't even look at other places. Is that great!

Nothing, it was perfect.

The room was huge with high ceiling.. I loved the decor, the very romantic and sensual atmosphere. Wish I wasn't travelling solo haha The bedding was great, and the room had all the basics at high quality: nespresso, hair dryer, mini bar, glassware, kettle, safe, shampoo, conditioner, ... The staff was very helpful as I was checking after their working hours. Would definitely come back if I visit Haarlem again, and will try the restaurant/breakfast (the menu looked delicious)

Some guests were noisy and you could hear them walking up and down the corridor, open and closing doors late... Not the hotel fault but the building isn't great in that regard.

It was centrally located which made it easy to walk around the city. There is a bus stop across the street from the hotel, so it was easy to get to the train station when needed. The hotel was charming and unique--we loved the restaurant down below and enjoyed the outside dining option for drinks in the evening. We especially loved the breakfast in the morning. The staff was extremely warm and inviting. They were accommodating and gave us some great ideas of things to do around the city.

I don't think I would change anything...well, maybe the towels were a bit small. Otherwise, it was everything we had hoped for!

There were no heating in the room at November… We were freezing at night.

This hotel is very charming, only five rooms above a cafe. Our room was clean and pretty with old architectural details. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries which came in handy because my luggage had been lost at the airport. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We loved this hotel! Would definitely recommend for someone looking for convenient location, exceptional staff, comfortable stay. And breakfast at the cafe downstairs was delicious. 😋

There was nothing to dislike.

This boutique hotel was a dream to stay at! The room was super spacious and the bathroom great. Right in the centre of Haarlem it was easy to get about everywhere in town, plus a bus to the train station at your doorstep. Everyone at the Frenchie restaurant was lovely and helpful, plus the breakfast there was delicious. They even left me a freshly baked pastry one day of my stay. Definitely would recommend!

This is a boutique hotel with loads of charm. The staff stayed late to accommodate our late arrival. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious by European standards. The bed was firm without being hard. Everything was very clean. Our schedule did not permit us to have breakfast at the café, but maybe next time. The location is near the city center and the local brewery. Easy walk to and from the train station.

We didn't mind, but there are some tight, steep steps in this hotel. Welcome to Europe!

The room was fabulous and Amber was lovely at check-in. Netflix in the room and high quality coffee made our stay so comfortable, we had a super break. The location was also great, the bus from Schipol stops just outside and it's a short walk to restaurants, shops and sights.

As a boutique hotel and a very old building, there are no lifts. This wasn't a problem for us but the two short flights of stairs might be a problem for people with mobility issues.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Haarlem, look no further than Hotel Frenchie. We stayed in the Attic suite for Christmas Eve and it was the most luxurious, well located (10 min walk to train station) and cleanest room. The staff added a personal touch by writing us a Christmas card, adding decorations and lovely Christmas chocolates. The room even had a disco ball record player (everything from Bob Marley and Simon & Garfunkel to Sia and Taylor Swift).The staff even made sure we knew what will be open for breakfast/coffee on Christmas day so that we do not have to worry or Google last minute. They took our bags before check-in so we could explore Haarlem. The Hotel's restaurant was excellent - food, wine, bubbles, ambience and heaters outside. Highly recommend.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like. You can even bring your dog.

Such a lovely little hotel in a perfect location. It was an easy walk to the station and shops, close to attractions and was quite peaceful. The room was on the smaller side but very well presented and comfortable and the staff were lovely. Having the bar and restaurant downstairs was actually great and added to the overall ambience

getting our luggage up and down the narrow stairs was a challenge, but at least it was only 1 flight!
