Room clean. Black out curtains aided our sleep. Good air con as it was very hot during our stay. Friendly staff. Good location for exploring Haarlem. Train station about 15/20 minute walk. You can check in your bags early and leave them the day you book out. Free hot drinks if you wanted them. Safe at night. Room quiet. No noise from next door on either side. Nice view of The Sparne.

Safe not working and never repaired during our stay. Housekeeping came into the room when we had asked them not to make the room up. Bathroom a little dark. Extra chair instead of a beanbag.

The Niu Dairy was in a great location for visiting the Old Town of Haarlem and a 15 minute walk from the train station. Our room was very quiet- overlooking a large courtyard. The bed was comfortable, and shower was excellent. The room was very clean. There were easy plugs next to each side of the bed. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods. The staff, especially Sandra & Jasper, were very friendly and helpful with ideas. Even though the hotel was short staffed, they made it work smoothly.

Seating in the room included one chair and a beanbag - I’d have liked a second chair.

The staff were just an absolute delight and always gave excellent conversation while making me cappucinos that I redeemed for my "free drink" for not having my bed changed each day. Haarlem is AMAZING!!!! I advise everyone going to a conference in Amsterdam to stay in this beautiful quite absolutely 111% delightful city instead of the harsh busy energy of Amsterdam. Haarlem also has Movements Yoga studio, where I did four classes in 3 days and worked out all my kinks and aches and pains from my month of travel. Everything is an easy, extremely beautiful walk from Niu Dairy. I had a beautiful view of the canal and town from my room, and I loved seeing the parents biking their kids to school in the mornings! It's the best location for any city hotel I've ever stayed, so quiet and wonderful. Haarlem also has great museums (I visited Holland's oldest one, and the free agricultural museum) and restaurants, shops, chocolate, coffee... I will be back!

Well, I was allergic to the bed, it would be nicer if they used a better mattress cover as I could smell previous occupants in it. But I'm extremely sensitive to such things and other than that the rooms were SPOTLESS and luxurious and wonderful and I gave the housecleaning staff a big tip because they did an incredible job.

The hotel is modern with a nice vibe and some trendy decorations. I enjoyed looking at the album sleeves on the walls and reminiscing about how many of them I had. We had asked for a quiet room and the staff had allocated us a perfect room at the back of the hotel and at the end of a corridor. The room was nicely laid out. The only seat, other than a desk chair, was a giant bean bag which I have to say isn't comfortable for me. The beds were comfy and the shower excellent. The hotel has limited facilities but as it's near the town centre that isn't really an issue. Breakfast was good with plenty of options and great coffee.

Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice breakfast. Early check-in as room was ready early. 2nd visit to this hotel and will definitely return. Some reviews state how small the bathrooms are. They are small. However, they are clean, modern, and equipped with everything you need. No issues with it at all. Great location. 10 - 15 mins walk from train station. Great service to Amsterdam, however, personal opinion, but we much prefer Haarlem. Fantastic place to visit. We will return in the summer to visit the nearby beaches.

The Niu Dairy is located 5 min. walk from the center of Haarlem. Friendly and service minded reception staff. The room was airy and the bed and duvet excellent. The hotel operate time slots for breakfast to ensure adequate seating and to reduce crowding especially around the coffee machine. 10 min. walk from the railway station and the no. 50 bus to Keukenhof.

When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the quirkiness of the Dairy - it felt modern, inviting, and fresh, with cow-themed decor that gave the place a boutique feel. Reception was friendly and quick and we were checked in with no issues. Our room was similarly fantastic: spotlessly cleaned and warmly decorated. The bed was very comfortable (they even accommodated my request for one big double bed instead of two singles side-by-side!) and we had control of the room's AC. There was also fast wifi, a desk, and a safe, which were all amenities we appreciated. The free drink vouchers we received if we chose not to have our room cleaned were a bonus - a great treat when we returned to the hotel each night. The location is fantastic, right across the road from the Centrum (Center / Old Town) of Haarlem and only about a 15 minute walk from Haarlem Station even though the street that the Dairy itself is on is quiet and safe. We had easy access to lively restaurants and cafes and spent one evening in Haarlem just to soak it in. The 24-hour reception was amazing as well when we needed to leave at 5:30 AM on our last day to catch a train. We chose to stay in Haarlem mostly as a transitory location because it was much better value for money than Amsterdam proper, but the Dairy and Haarlem itself were so wonderful that we would visit again.

The only thing that could have been better was the view - we faced out into a parking lot and the rest of the hotel building so it was nothing special, but we didn't fly to the Netherlands for the view so it didn't bother me at all!

The location is great, close to the wonderful old town of Haarlem, quiet at night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fresh, the selection is not extensive, but everything is enough. Haarlem is a good place to see the flower parade.

The room is small, clean, there is a lack of space, no teapot. I would like more cheese products, vegetables on the breakfast menu. We arrived at the flower parade, but the weather was rainy, cold.

Rooms were modern, clean, comfortable. Large room and bed with plenty of luggage space. Shower is a tad small, but did its job well, good water pressure. Nice selection of snacks and drinks in the lobby. Didn't try the breakfast/restaurant though, as there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Noise from hallway and occasionally stomping from the room above us could be heard pretty clearly. Spent a morning in the room one day and could hear (who we think might be the housekeeping staff) talking really loudly for an extended period of time in the hallways. Other than that, everything was great!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the room as well as the hallways and lobby were very clean and comfortable. The location was amazing, right near the city centre and a big cinema. We also really liked the minimal but colorful aesthetic.

The breakfast was good but could've been better. We always love some scrambled eggs when staying at a hotel, but they only had boiled eggs. The pancakes were nog great, they were very soggy and obviously not homemade. A mini fridge in the room would've also been great.
