The first approach to the hotel -- through its restaurant -- wasn't particularly promising, and we were concerned about potential noise issues, especially with the room facing the busy square. We needn't have worried: the room is comfortable, the bed one of the best on our trip, and the sound insulation was excellent.

The gentleman who checked us in was a bit lacking in experience, and when we received the parking pass, he didn't make it at all clear that the parking lot was NOT the civic lot under the square in front of the hotel, but a small, private lot reached by going not quite all the way around the block. As a result, we found we had to pay for the city parking; however, at checkout, when we explained the issue to the (experienced) desk staff member, she arranged reimbursement of our hotel-paid parking fee. A mere minor annoyance, and well-handled in the end.

Beautifully appointed room in fancy shades of red and black which really made up for a special atmosphere. The modern bathroom was decorated in the same colors. Everything was spotlessly clean. The highlight was the super comfortable bed… I have hardly ever slept so well in a hotel. Both, the reception staff as well as restaurant staff, were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (à-la-carte choice, not included in my booking) was tasty. Overall, great value for money!

The only point for criticism I have is that the room was freezing cold upon arrival and it took quite long to heat up. With outside temperatures of around 3 degrees I expect a hotel room to be a little warmed up. However, I was told that management does not allow to heat the rooms prior to guest arrival in order to save energy.

Unbeatable location, perfect for walking around the city. Bed in king room with view very comfortable, good shower. Was able to leave luggage there after checking out.

Floor of our room extremely dirty. Mentioned it at reception after checking in but housekeeping had finished for the day. Was no better after the room was attended to the next day. We used wipes on a small patch of floor and they were black with dirt which we showed at reception. Duvet cover was torn in places. Also, the carpeted common areas, stairs and lift, were not vacuumed for the duration of our 3 day stay.

The room was very well decorated and spacious, with very comfortable beds. The hotel is at an excellent location, right in the center of the city with most important landmarks in walking distance. The breakfast and staff were also very nice and I am quite happy with the value for money that I got from this hotel. I would especially recommend it for couples, since the lighting and colors in the rooms make up quite the romantic atmosphere. Superb for celebrations like anniversaries, Valentine's or even small romantic weekends.

On the flip side, some minor details were off. There were no hangers for towels in the bathroom, the closet was not tall enough to hang long coats, and in some spots on the wall the paint was wearing off. It is important to note, however, that these were really small things and in no way made the stay bad.

Excellent location in the centre of the old town. The room was large and comfortable and clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bar was great with a good range of drinks etc and a nice outside seating area on the plaza. Parking was in a private garage and the explanation made it easy to find and use. The room cost was good value.

As is often the case, parking at 26 euros per 12 hours and the cost of breakfast are expensive additions.

It is a lovely boutique hotel, located on the main square of the city. My room was on a separate building on the rear, large and very quiet, which I appreciated. In the room there was everything I needed and it was possible to control the heating. Breakfast was really excellent, although it was not included in the rate.

The quality of the room and its facilities was first-class, and the staff were excellent and very helpful. The location of the hotel was very good for the sightseeing that we wanted to do. We had a good choice of breakfast. The staff organised taxis for us which was helpful as well.

We were travelling and needed to wash some clothing. The hotel said that there was a laundry service, but it was not on site, and we were unable use this facility because we were leaving before the clothes could be returned.

The staff are very friendly and relaxed. They have a cafe out front. They know their guests and accurately charge cocktails, food etc to the room without bothering the guests with repetitive bills. The staff are attractive, young and friendly Dutch people who smile and freely interacted with me. Very easy to talk to. They were attentive and got the orders out efficiently. The beds are bigger and perfect for Americans who are used to big beds.

I dont have any complaints.

Nice spacious room (striking decor) with a large comfortable bed. We asked for a quiet high room so had one in the rear 'annexe' - which was very nice and quiet but not much of a view (but that was fine - easy to walk out onto the main square! Good location and easy walk to main city sites and various restaurants etc. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wanted to drive directly to the old city center, and couldn't have asked for a better place to do so. The parking is interesting - first time using a car elevator, but worked a charm. Charming woman at check in. Cheeky but sweet.

Our suite was just a supersized room; I'd suggest breaking it up into two well designed smaller spaces. But a nice place all in all and oh so perfectly located!
