Easy check in, check out process. Good value for money.

The pillows they gave were of bad quality, one of them still had stains on it. The private pods have a noisy flooring and the pots are not sound proof. We couldn't sleep well as people were walking in the night.

The bed was very comfortable, the hostel had everything that I needed, was a great experience

If I had to say one thing would be the doors. There’s a door with a lock to enter the “rooms area” and then there’s the bathroom and another door without lock that leads to the bedrooms and this second door, doesn’t lock but you also have to open it with the handle. The problem is, it’s a very noisy and loud door so every time somebody enters the sleeping area, is a big smash on the door and it was annoying during the night. That would be my only advice to change, make it more like a French door without a lock and handle because it doesn’t work anyway, but it’s disturbing the night

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Especially when asked for recommendations. Both members I asked for recommendations seemed eager to share! And what they shared was great. From where to eat good "zoervleijs" to where to get a sense of the creative side of Maastricht. Definitely glad I asked. What was also nice is that an area where I could keep my bigger bag before check-in and after check-out so I could still explore tye city for a bit. The communal sleeping area was comfy and while shared, there was enough privacy for me once I was in my bed. The breakfast buffet was lovely and healthy. Not overly complicated, though there were many options. I didn't learn the name of the cat that hung around the courtyard, but they were very affectionate every time someone walked by. Great way to start and end your day with a few pets and purrs. The overall look and feel of the place was very bright and cozy at the same time.

Just very few little things: -The soap dispensers in the toilets were out and/or didn't work properly. -My key card didn't work on one of the two doors I had to get through. This problem was solved fairly quickly though, so that might as well go with the things I liked. -One of the door handles kept loosening and fell off one time. I have experience with annoying doorhandles at my own job though, so I know how difficult they can be when used every day by a lot of people.

The manager is very nice and she helped us out with the room and she kindly sorted out the room because of the mistakes on the reservation I will go back to the hotel when we are going to work in Holland Thank dear manager

On arrival because of the reservation made by the booking agent they had given us a room like comping and we had to sleep on the floor I was surprised to see the room and I had asked them to change the room to has a bed. Even though I had said we were okay to sleep separately but they said they couldn’t do it. I was very surprised to hear that because my sister can’t sleep on the mattress and after long enough explaining the situation the staff was telling me that he had to go to his manager to see if she could help. As soon she was there her lovely smile was very hospitality and she had been very nice to listen and gives us the room Thank you Manager

The bed was large and the air conditioning worked well. Easy self check in- does also have a reception as well. Easy walking distance to the centre of Maastricht. Able to park at nearby P+R or on the street which doesn’t have overnight restrictions so worked well for a smaller fee for us. There is a washing machine and drying room although staff have to escort you to access.

Whilst bed linen is included towels are not and for the price it would be nice that they are included. Particularly because the shower sprayed water into the general bathroom area and ideally you also need a bath mat or a hand towel. It could potentially be noisy, it was noisy earlier in the evening but we went to be late and it had quiet bed down by then. Our room was in a location that meant we had to go down and then up a set of stairs to access which is annoying with luggage.

Location is great, the main area was very comfortable and incredibly stylish. The design of the entire place is one of the best I’ve ever seen for a Hostel/Hotel. Garden was AMAZING. Room was basic but comfortable. The fresh food for breakfast was so good and my kids loved the pancake machine.

There are a lot of games in the main area but very MANY of them are missing several pieces which makes it impossible to play them. We saw on the website that bites could be ordered but when I asked at the reception they didn’t know anything about this. One staff member suggested we might be able to order some snacks in the restaurant of the attached hotel but we were skilfully ignored there. Tea is available in the main area but you have to ask for tea bags at reception which is a bit of a hassle.

I was bike-packing through the Netherlands and the staff was very friendly and helpful about it. They offered me a closed space to store the bike overnight and they provided me with towels. Even though I arrived earlier than check-in, I was able to use the amenities. Even though there were 10-12 people sleeping in the dorm, it was relatively quiet. The bunks are like wooden boxes, so you have a good privacy.

The internet was a bit faulty and the common area is tight, when everybody is having breakfast. It is not directly in the City Center, but you could walk less than 10 minutes to the main bridge.

Green Elephant Hostel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The vibe upon arrival was positive, thanks in part to Brum (i apologies if i say the name wrong) at reception, who was not only helpful but also lent me his charger when my phone was about to die. The staff's genuine warmth made me feel safe and welcomed. Despite its remote location and constant guest turnover, the hostel was clean and peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. Overall, Green Elephant Hostel exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Brum and the team for making my stay memorable. Highly recommended!

A location of this hostel is perfect, juts nearby of the Central bus and train stations and close to all attractions. Stuff was very kind and hospitable. Also you have there all the felicities to cook your own food, which is very important for low-budget trips.

The only negative thing is that air conditioning in bedroom areas works actively for cooling even during night, when it is absolutely not needed. So you can easily get a cold even during summer

The hostel was clean, very beautiful and well organised. Plenty of hang out-space, a cute garden and the bed had a lot of privacy. Kitchen was minimal but did its job. It is not a social hostel at all, but that suited me as I had to work in the evening. Showers were very nice.

The door to the sleeping quarters was very heavy. Every time it closed there was a very loud sound. I slept at the other end of the room (+12 metres away) with earplugs and I would still wake up every time someone used the door. I think a door closer would fix this problem.
