Great location, good wifi and excellent breakfast. Walking distance to our working location, close to main square and lots of nice restaurants. Staff mostly very helpful - particularly at breakfast. One of our party was gluten free and this was catered for (but MUST tell reception when you check in or they will not know to prepare).

Air con was helpful as very warm but one of the beds was pushed up against it (it is like a radiator on the wall) so it didn't work very well. On check-out a member of the team tried to charge us for the city tax again (which we had already paid on arrival) luckily I had kept my receipt safe to show that I had paid.

Breakfast -a bit expensive, but very well presented, and very fresh. Cleanliness of the room Location - nice to be by the river and close to the town but also be quiter than in the main square.

The room was up four flights of stairs - 50 steps up and 50 to go down again .... and we are 72 and 78 years old. I know it said there may be steps and no left, but I was a bit disappointed. Also no view unless I stood on a chair and looked out of the skylight. The staff were a very good responded in English and answered all our questions. I could not reach the reception by phone.

Great location, over the road from the river, within easy walking distance to the market square and cathedral in an interesting terrace of neighbouring old houses. Parking was excellent, right behind the hotel. Very friendly receptionist. Generous sized room.

Our room was at the front of the building, so right on quite a busy street. Mostly, though, we couldn't hear the traffic, but it was a bit like being in a gold fish bowl without the curtains drawn (not ideal on arrival at 1600!). The air con unit was efficient but noisy. Parking felt expensive, but I think it was in line with private parking costs in Maastricht and, as mentioned, we were grateful to have it on site and very accessible so worh paying for..

All the staff were fabulous, welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. Location of the hotel gave easy walking access to the old centre which was perfect for us. Our room was great being clean and bright and tastefully decorated sympathetic to the building. Excellent ensuite wet room. Breakfast was superb and the free wine/drinks with a slice of Limburg pie in the afternoon was an unexpected treat not to be missed. Look forward to our next stay here and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.

A couple of suggestions would be 1) to have a small fridge in the room and 2) either put a mirror by a socket or a socket by a mirror.

Only 7 mins walk from Vrijhof Nicely decorated room, clean and very comfortable bed.

Breakfast ..I didnt fancy cheese and salami with cucumber for breakfast, or venison steak with a fried egg ... breakfast? Really ? can't eat muesli and don't like eggs so I had a bread roll and butter, and a banana with coffee....I asked if there was toast or cornflakes and was told no and no effort made in getting any for the next day, they appeared to be quite happy to let me have have virtually nothing and made no effort to even buy a packet of cornflakes. Worst breakfast ever for me in a hotel, and I have stayed in many ,plus i waited 20 minutes for coffee despite reminding them twice I was still waiting. It was the only thing that let it down and unless you like avwey German style breakfast steer clear of it.

A big thank you to the staff for taking care of our friend when she experienced vertigo (a recurring problem for her). Even though it wasn't check in time, the staff found her a ground floor room and made sure she was settled and had everything she needed so she could recover quickly. Thank you! Our room was lovely - large, super comfy bed, terrace, big bathroom, all beautifully furnished. This was the favourite hotel of our whole 6 week trip. It's in three historic houses, with high ceilings and crown moulding, chandeliers, etc. It was super quiet at night. We had paid in advance through Booking.com for the breakfast, which surprised us with champagne and orange juice and bacon and eggs, along with all the other good things in a Dutch breakfast. Our friends paid for the breakfast upon check in - less than we had paid upfront - but they did not get the champagne or the special scrambled eggs with bacon. I would pay at the desk next time because neither my husband or I wanted a drink in the morning anyway. The breakfast room is lovely with light colours and traditional furniture, and waitress service. The hotel is located just north of the main tourist area - a short walk from the market (Markt) square and near a large modern shopping centre. (But cars don't go into Maastricht town, they park underground so you don't see them. The centre is mainly bikes and pedestrians.)

I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and kind. Having a parking lot at the property made it very easier for my rental car. Location wise itwas OK. Breakfast was OK . Overall well worth the money spent. Thanks again for everyone at the hotel .

Location wise I wish I was more at a central location ... Other than that no place is far in Maastricht even on foot. It just made me feel like I am on the edge of the city rather being at the heart. Not to much a big deal...

Outstanding breakfast. I don't think I have ever commented breakfast before - perhaps because I usually book accommodation without - so this came as a welcome surprise. Varied, tasty, exceptional, fresh. The upstairs room was spacious, well appointed, stylish; the two single beds put next to each other however where less attractive, also because they moved away from each other easily.

In general: Some rooms are up a couple of floors/stairs; keep that in mind when booking if you have problems with mobility. Hotel phones you if not arriving before frontdesk closes (at 9pm I think) - not sure i liked or appreciated that. More particular: outside noise can be irritating (hotel did provide earplugs). My upstairs room had many light fixtures, but then it's disappointing if not all of them work or can be made to work.

The hotel is located quite close to the city center. The rooms are very comfortable and a good breakfast is served.

The hotel is located at the van Hasseltkade next to the river, but it does not offer nice views from the rooms. The rooms at the ground floor have windows directly to the street. At breakfast several items were only offered in small amounts and when finished, it needed to be requested.

The hotel was very central for all the main areas in Maastricht. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. Although we asked for our room not to be cleaned, each day a bag containing fresh towels and water was left outside our room. An excellent service. The breakfast choice was excellent.

It would have been good if the heated towel rail had worked effectively.
