Location in a vibrant but not too busy area of Utrecht. Hotel Theater Figi is in Slot Zeist, easily accessible by bus from Utrecht Centraal Station - about 20 minutes travelling time, every 15 minutes during the day & 30 minutes evenings. I also used the trains to & from Amersfoort, Amsterdam, & Schipol Airport - Google Maps an excellent guide for planning trips. Friendly, helpful staff who go the extra mile to make sure you have all you need - many thanks to all and especially Bart! Modern spacious hotel & bedroom with everything a solo traveller needs plus added value of a theatre AND cinema on-site.

Everything was perfect!

Employees are warm and accommodating. We especially enjoyed being greeted by Bart every time we walked in. Breakfast was a joy just walking in and see Enzo on the floor. The location is perfect and easy to move from one place to the other. There was nothing negative about this stay. Except for the fact that I was naive to think that the rooms had an airconditioning. However. Slept like a baby all 10 nights !

Lovely stylish and comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. Calm and quiet. The room was ordered with increased comfort, it was larger than the standard one, with a long balcony and a view of the city. Excellent wide bed with soft mattress. Wonderful pillows. Availability of a coffee machine and a set of capsules with coffee. High speed internet.

First, we did not have enough artificial lighting, it was quite dark at evening time. There are very few sources of lights, and those that are available are very dim. It is not very comfortable to work at the computer. The second is the unstable supply of hot water temperature. While taking a shower, from time to time, a very burning temperature can go, and after a second, cold water will come out.

Reception staff are wonderful..especially Bart and Richard..always with a great smile and very profesional attitute. Staff are 80% of a guest's overall experience, and it is a pleasure staying in this hotel with such a " familiar touch". Housekeeping is excellent.. our room 411, was cleaned meticously each day. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

If there is anything to mention, I would have liked a more " reasonable" breakfast price for Inhouse guests. We felt 16€ per day per person, rather overpriced. The guest is already in the hotel, an attractive breakfast package, would lure guests to stay and spend inhouse, rather than find Cafés closeby to have breakfast. Just a personal opinion.

Pretty good price, considering location and room size. Nice decor and has all the standard features. Very friendly staff. Bathroom was nice and clean. No phone in the room, but who needs that in 2023. Wifi is fast & reliable, but open (I used a vpn for extra security). I didn't have breakfast at the hotel.

Some surprise costs for energy surcharge and parking fee that had just been increased. On a total of 95 euros for the stay, I had to pay 6 euro extra. No airconditioning in the room, so in the summer it might be warm. I was there in winter and the room was chilly without a way to adjust heating.

From inside the building is beautiful. A lot of sunlight came into the (enormous) room and we had a very nice view. We got a free upgrade for a better room. Breakfast is good and is served for a long time (between 7 and 11 or something)

You would need to pay (a lot) for everything extra. Breakfast is 16 euros per person, renting bikes is 16 euros per bike also if you only rent it in the evening and you would need to pay 12,50 euro for the parking space next door. Just be aware of this before you book.

Spacious reception and rooms. Quiet area with little nighttime traffic. Nice restaurant and breakfast. There was a theatre attached to the hotel, although I never had time to go there.

Being overly critical: the lifts were slow, there were too few electrical sockets near the bed. The bathroom could have been better lit and the shower wall could have been a bit longer to stop water splashing onto the floor.

Excellent location. But next to the ‘bar street’ in Zeist. Very noisy at night in the weekend.

I couldn’t put the bill from the Grand Cafe on our room. Had to go back to our room to get my purse to pay. The distribution of tea and coffee in the room is minimal, we had to ask every day for more. Towels need replacing.

Nice location! And a beautiful view from the hotel

As didnt read it well i first thought I booked a room with breakfast included but I later checked and it said, that it was with included when paying an additional cost. Which in my opinion was a little confusing. But at the hotel they upgraded us to a nicer room for free for the misunderstanding. Maybe booking.com should be more clear about this in their description etc but nonetheless it was really good!

The room was excellent, clean and spacious enough for 2 people. The breakfast was done in a lovely buffet style and catered to a decent variety of tastes. They even offered a dairy-alternative for those who may, for example, be lactose intolerant or vegan. The staff at the hotel were allround friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, situated beautifully alongside the town centre, offering plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants at walking distance. The area was nice and quiet. The hotel was easy to reach by bus, dropping you off just around the corner but it's also possible to get train into the town and get a taxi from there for example. Would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was also part of a movie theatre, which is a fun bonus for anyone staying for a little bit longer. We just didn't avail of this perk ourselves since we were only there fore one night.
