The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were friendly and welcoming, thinking of little things (like Valentine's Day, which was part-way through our stay). They adjusted when we had queries, were generous sharing items when we were short. In sum, the staff really made this stay special.

Frankly, there wasn't much that we didn't like so this is a hard question to answer. Perhaps the air conditioning units could be serviced more often? Granted, one doesn't often need them here, as the weather is very pleasant.

Literally has everything you will need during your stay. Kitchenware/stovetop/fridge/kettle. Spacious bathroom and toilet with towels hand soap/toilet roll dispensers and even has a soap dispenser in the shower area if you don’t have body wash or soap of your own on hand. Nice quiet area tucked away from the main road. Outdoor furniture complete with bbq set up for outdoor cooking. Even has an onsite laundry room.

Only thing that I probably didn’t like would be that there was no sort of privacy netting or screen over the windows. Not a major you could always leave them closed but it would be nice if there were something there for when guest want to open their curtains without people peeping through.

The unit was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The heatpump keeps the room nice and warm. This motel is lovely and quiet, has great parking and a great outdoor bbq area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend having a car as it's a little out of the way and ubering gets expensive. Overall a fantastic place to stay and we will be back next time we're in Christchurch.

The huge old portable hotplate takes up most of the bench space if you have to cook and the frypan was very scratched. It takes a bit of maneuvering to get dinner cooked and do toast or salad prep at the same time. In summer you could use the bbq outside which would help but we were there in winter and it was a bit cold for cooking on the bbq. :) I don't know if other units have different kitchenettes. All in all in was manageable.

Perfect if you have a dog in particular. Best washers and dryers! Friendly staff and Jimmy was very accommodating when I needed to stay longer because of interislander cancellations. BBQ area is great and I cooked a few dinners on there even though you can cook in your unit. Right next to a sports park. Great fish n chip place at the end of the road if you turn right out of the driveway. Great location, very clean. Cleaner than many places I've stayed in and cleaning staff very friendly. Highly recommend this place and it will be my first choice whenever I'm in Christchurch again. A hidden gem.

We had made travel plans months in advance at another motel who rudely rang us close to the time of our stay and advised that they were no longer taking pets. We contacted Christchurch Park Motel and booked with them instead and they were great to deal with! The accommodations were much nicer than were we had previously booked. This place is great for people with family's and pets, we had a great stay and will be back.

This hotel was a last minute booking for us, but really exceeded our expectations. Check in was contactless, which we appreciate in the scheme of things, but communication was excellent via text message and email. The room was large, clean and had everything we needed. Lots of parking, and the added bonus of a playground on the adjacent field. It was also interesting to learn about the history of the club/hotel. There is a FREE laundry there, that was incredible to note, and we'd definitely stay again, particularly for a longer stay in Christchurch.

Coming from a busy city such as Wellington, the peace & quiet away from traffic and busy roads was exactly what we wanted. Our room was exceptionally clean , and the beds were comfy and warm. The one thing I did admire the most was the shower!!!!! I love big showers with a good water pressure and it ticked the boxes for sure! My mum , daughter and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The prompt response and personal attention from Jen regarding an issue we had in one of the rooms was most appreciated. The communal grounds were brilliant, we spent many hours laying in the shade of the beautiful tree outside our rooms, really connecting as a family.

That we couldn't stay longer!

We had a great stay at Christchurch Park, quiet location set back away from the road. Park like surroundings. Friendly, helpful staff. It was great to have free laundry facilities. Central location. Will definitely stay again next time we are over.

The water pressure in the shower could be better. To their credit though they did get a plumber in to change the shower head, and that did make a difference.

Breakfast was not included. The unit was nice and clean and comfortable. The TV wasn’t working. Rang the number and someone came and looked at it. I wasn’t there. They couldn’t fix it and offered me another room which I declined. When I arrived back later at night the TV was working. Well done to who ever fixed it..

The shower was hard to get right the right temperature I thought the car park was outside your unit. It wasn’t. There was a short distance and didn’t feel safe on my own. The lock on the door didn’t feel safe. To much wobbling. I was the only one there for couple of nights. It was scary. A night To feel safer I put a large chair in front of the door for safety. The motel was further away from family than what I expected It didn’t feel like a motel as I saw no one. Even for checkin or check out
