Fantastic stay, I left super early in the morning and just as I got to the bus stop I realised I left my handbag with my purse and passport in the room (super stupid of me). Ran back as fast as I could and fortunately the lady who runs the B&B was already up, and not only that she found my handbag and drove me back to the bus stop, in time for the bus. Disaster averted. Thank you so much.

The owner of the property made us feel very welcome, the room we had was very nice with on-suite Bathroom and shower. There were also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The shared breakfast room was impressive, the house used to be a convent so has some history. There is a nice garden out the back which we took the opportunity to sit and have dinner in during the evening. We were given a lot of advice on places to visit during our stay which was a great help.

What's not to like, we would definitely stay again.

Spacious, very comfortable and the host was lovely. Breakfast was great as well. The place had a lot of charm and the host obviously takes a lot of pride in providing an excellent facility.

It was a fair distance from the city centre, however it was close to the New Brighton Pier in a quiet street. With a car the time taken to get into the CBD was minimal.

Nicely decorated home. Spacious room, very clean. Comfy bed. Quiet and peaceful location. Free parking. Close to the beach. Good wifi. Delicious breakfast with toast, butter, jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, muesli, milk, juice, coffee and tea. Very friendly hosts. Well equipped kitchen. Outside sitting area. Free coffee and tea in the room.

Would recommend it to everyone!

The Pier Lodge is perfect if you are looking a quite place on the beach super close to Christchurch city center (20 minutes by bus). Room was clean, beds cozy and confortable and the shower was the best so far. Kitchen was tidy had everything you need to cook a good meal and breafast in the morning lovely and healty. the price was excellent!

It was quiet 🤫, clean and comfortable. A historic building to stay in, good basic breakfast and plenty of car parking space. Good location, not far from the City Centre and only blocks away from the coastline. We enjoyed a nice walk out on the local pier for sunset. The hosts were helpful and welcoming.

How clean it was, and the heated blanket was turned on for us when we first arrived

Plane got delayed and it was a big deal coming in after 10pm and it shouldn't be, no fridge in the room to store our personal items so it would be quick and easy-to-use grab,

We loved it here! The place is vintage with a lot of history. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the owners nice and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but nice (fruits, yogurt, cereals, toasts, coffee/ tea). Parking is convenient, and the location really cool - it’s very close to the New Brighton beach

Wish we stayed there more than one night ;) And I’d love to have more diverse breakfast, eg eggs, cheese, ham

The location was great, close to the ballpark for softball tournament. Walking distance to the shops and beach at New Brighton. Very relaxed atmosphere and spacious comfortable rooms. Breakfast was an absolute delight, great way to start our day!

Access to kitchen, dining and garden facilities - felt less confined to a room. Lovely dining space and good continental style breakfast and Val was an excellent host. About a 15 minute easy drive into the city - roads were very quiet on our visit.
