The motel is well maintained, spacious and comfortable. Kitchenette was functional with most things required. Bathrooms looks to have had some upgrades, and were in good condition. Bed was comfortable. They were able to change rooms prior to completing check-in. We have a 15 month old child and once we got to site requested a unit at the back, which we got. so thanks for that!

some small maintenance issues could do with some attention, ie screw hole repairs in the bathroom. shampoo sachets were provided, it would have been nice to also have some moisturiser and shower gel. the extraction fans direct straight out to the front of the units. that means any strong smelling cooking next door necessitates the closing of your doors until the smell has cleared. extraction to the rear of the unit would have been better. a grater would be good.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment for the Wild Food Festival. The place was wonderful and clean! The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One of the rooms had three single beds, and the second room had what I think is a Queen or King with an additional single bed. Everything about our stay was great. We will stay here again the next time we are in town.

There was nothing not to like. The place is great and an excellent place to stay in Hokitika. If you are looking for a good place to stay in Hokitika, then stay here!

We had a great stay in a 2 bdrm apartment. 4 adults and 2 toddlers and we all fit in perfectly. 3 singles in one room, a queen and single in the other. Staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile for us, letting us check in (very) late, vacuuming throughout our stay (toddlers!), giving us peanut butter when someone had a meltdown that we didn't have any (also toddler!) And having our walls dried when an overnight vaporizer fulted and left condensation everywhere 🫣 thanks so much! This was our second stay at Jade Court and we will definitely be back and will recommend it to others!

The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and we subsequently felt warmly welcomed and invited immediately upon arrival. We were even able to move into the room a lot earlier than official check-in, which was really convenient. Our apartmenent was directly across the lovely green garden area, which we had a few snacks in, since the weather was quite sunny. The room was very spacious with comfortable bed and seating area for meals and even a small couch for evening entertainment. The kitchenette was well stocked with microwave, fridge, stove-top, electric kettle and daily complimetary coffee and tea. The decor and furniture were modern, up-to-date and everything was very clean and inviting. The spa bath was simply heavenly! We loved it! A self-service laundry area (for small fee) had been provided close to the reception. The accommodation is a a very convenient short walking distance from Hokitika Town including restaurants, cafés and gift shops as well as a post office, beaches, a small grocery store and gas stations. The kitchen light burned out during our stay and the friendly staff immediately came to fix the issue, which was a very good service and much appreciated! Hokitika Gorge (~30km from city) and The Glow Worm Dell are a MUST-SEE!!!

Wi-Fi was beyond bad, unusable really. It wasn't even enough to check one's Emails. Using (own) Netflix was impossible. Receptionist has warned us about the issue and it was okay, since we weren't totally dependent on it. I think it should be mentionend in the facility description, however. If you are dependent on Wi-Fi for work or otherwise, take that into account. We used Wi-Fi in the city in one of the little cafés, since we needed to book additional accommodations, which was really not possible at our accommodation.

The bed was very comfy, excellent space in the bathroom, and it had everything we needed for our one night stay. We were delighted with bike storage shed as leaving the bikes on the back of our car meant we were too long for allocated parking space. This facility was good value for the price with welcoming, very helpful staff. Although on the State Highway, the traffic noise did not keep us awake. Comfy dining table and chairs.

We had to move cumbersome chairs to sit on to see the TV in minimal space. The alternative was to sit up on the bed as dining chairs too close. Stove very dated although it did work but oven door went right to the floor. Parking was so close to the unit we had to move outside table and chairs to open car doors as we were parallel parked.

Great spot, is close to train line but only one seemed to come through at 6.30am and it was not particularly loud, our daughter slept through it and to be honest I think I only noticed it as I was waking up anyway and our room was right next to the line. Beds were really comfy and room appears to be recently renovated. It was exactly what we needed and wish I could have stayed another night or 2 but we had to keep travelling. Super clean and hosts were lovely.

Only issue we had was the shower leaked easily through a gap in the door, we did aim the head to the opposite corner but I think it’s just not the best design, otherwise water pressure was excellent!

The 2 bedroom was great for three adults with plenty of space in the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The staff were wonderful and kind and always helpful. We used their laundry services available to guests and found their coin-operated machines easy to use. Excellent location, very reasonably priced!

A helpful suggestion would be to provide a skillet with a lid and non-metal utensils as the skillet was scratched from guests using the only stainless steel spatula.

A very spacious 2-bedroom apartment with comfortable beds (with electric blankets on the double beds), warm duvets and an effective electric heater in the lounge.. All kitchen equipment and fresh milk supplied. Great location and extremely amenable hosts (a special thanks to Peter for chasing after me to the airport when I left my handbag in the apartment when we left!). Recommended.

Pam and her husband are nice people for our check-in. Easy parking in front of the rooms. The inside facilities are new and very clean. There are more than enough beds in each room of our 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment has power outlets everywhere which make it easy for charging devices.

The rooms do not have any beach view as it locates on the main road. But we were not expecting any view as we plan our driving to the beach and attractions in the area. No gym which does not bother us.

The environment was so great, the facilities were all prepared well. During our stay, we enjoyed the kitchen and the dining table so much😊 Besides, the owner Peter, and his wife were friendly, we had a nice conversation then. We so sure will visit this place again!

Oh, it did not provide hot water since 10 p.m., we kept boiling water with the stoves and water heater. We didn't take a comfortable hot spa till 5 a.m. That's only a small pity during our stay, otherwise, it was all awesome 👍
