The restaurant was just a pub style restaurant as far as decor and layout , but the food far exceeded the comparison . Probably the best scotch fillet I've had in years. Other peoples meals I spied were also very generous and healthy portions of a great mixed salad. The local beach was a two minute stroll with nice beach side footpaths to walk. Stunning unimpeded sunsets over the western sea towards top of the South Island and Australia ( Tasman Sea) Due to road works , access from new Transmission Gully motorway bit of a pain but fully accessible.

Like other places advertising a kitchenette, we were disappointed to find this consisted only of a microwave, without suitable cooking gear suitable for microwave cooking. Another place we stayed at on this trip which advertised a kitchenette has two hotplates, a microwave and a full set of cooking materials, which made self catering a pleasure. Having only a microwave was very limiting.

The restaurant was absolutely DELICIOUS! super fast too. great value for money during the overall stay, i will definitely recommend to friends and family. the staff were so well mannered, friendly and accommodating. Check in and check out was a breeze, no mucking around we were shown to our room straight away.

the only thing i would say is the very limited carparks, as there are surrounding home owners & residents we were unsure where we were allowed to park since the three parks labelled "Finz visitors" outside the backdoor were filled. i was conscious all night about my car possibly being towed. All was well in the end though 👍

It has a great location in the area, close to the beach. Their in-house food options are great, and they are across the street from cafes and a convenience store if needed.

It is near the railway which can be noisy when the trains pass, but we had great fun guessing which trains were coming. It does not bother us too much.

Beautiful room, spacious. Great value for money and the shower pressure was amazing. Homely feel in the restaurant/bar and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay so much we extended it for another 2 days which the staff accommodated so easy and with no hassle

The room we stayed in didn't have a balcony or a window so could get a little stuffy sometimes, however the staff had already provided fans and solutions.

Bring your hungry tummy as the servings are large. Large sellection of wine beer spirits over the bar or bottle store on site enjoyed my birthday stay thank you Finns. We will be back

Love the configuration of the room,the spa bath was a godsend extra towels.High pressure shower lovely coffee making area with real milk all meals in the restaurant were beautiful Lunch and breakfast .our evening meal was served to our room gorgeous. Trains run we zoned out knowing to expect the noise. The staff Ben and Josie are attentive to meet the needs of guests. Very pleasant

Large, light room, opening windows and balcony, jacuzzi bath. Very well fitted out room, very comfortable. The train track/crossing is very close (next door) so bear this in mind if your a no noise type of person, it didnt both us much.

Entry to rooms was via kitchen corridor and kitchen entrance rather smelly of rubbish so not very pleasant. Car parking vague, found parking in the back parking lot not sure if it was where guests should park as it was a bit of waste type ground and it seemed like the apartment residents parking area. A bit of a muck up with the checking in, next weeks guests were checked into my room. weren't asked for their confirmation paperwork it seemed. Any how it was sorted out as quickly as it could be, sadly they had to leave as fully booked, room was quickly turned around for us. Apologies very sincere and appreciated, thank you.

Everything was very clean and tidy, lady was awesome even though we showed up late to the motel (11.40pm). Great space for us 3adults and my child. Food was great aswell.

Only little but the bed was quite hard, and the fold out couch was bit hard to sleep on but all in all carnt complain to much. Oh and minor one but never got a tea towel or wash cloth back after using the first ones drying and washing the dishes.
