The room was very spacious, lots of floor space for my child to play around in. The private bathroom was good for value. Our room had a backdoor entrance so had easy access to outdoor seating area where we were treated by ducks on one occasion. This property is just around the corner from Waitangi & Paihia with Kerikeri a nice drive down the road. Hururu falls was a beautiful site to see with a small track for the family to do. Overall great stay.

There were some complications with payment as I had secured our stay through Booking.com. Upon arrival matter was sorted by simply showing proof of payment and giving staff a copy of my card details incase funds were not collected by property owner. The shower was masked in heavy duty tape which water sprayed from the wall, but otherwise the water pressure was nice and relaxing after a long day at the beach!

I was looking for a relaxed stay, somewhere cheap and cheerful in this location and the lodge was perfect for that. The staff are lovely. My room was clean. Love the grounds near the river. An early morning walk by the river was a great way to start my day. Generally quiet and peaceful (september 23).

The kitchen is a shared kitchen, it smelt a wee bit. Theres a pump station near the river and it was a bit noisy on my second night stay. If your room is near the entrance you might hear the pump too.

Really liked kitchen to cook and living room where there was plenty of seating and could talk to other guests. Also patio over looking river was very plesant to sit and have breakfast. The individual control for air conditioning for each room proved very useful.

Accommodation is a few km from town which meant I could not have a drink with any meals bought. However, nice that there is a fridge in room to keep some beer.

Best location and great meeting up with others in the common area ie kitchen and dining room as you can talk with others or cook a meal and eat it on the tables of your choice or read books or play cards so plentiful, Oh the shower was was fantastic nice hot water and plenty of pressure 👌perfect

One thing little thing I needed a higher fuller pillow or an extra one then it would’ve been perfect 👍

We booked last minute and had a lovely stay. The room was super clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dated, but we had a lovely hot shower, and everything worked great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay! In the morning we discovered the beauty of the surroundings, the river and the waterfall. Would stay again.

Sadly there was loads of dust under the bed that never been vacuumed at all for a while, heat pump not working til my partner cleaned out the filters out of the heat pump to help it work so now working thanks for him, no hair dryers and other stuff that been listed on the listening for staying, apart from the bathroom soaps and towels and toilet rolls that's a start, the kitchen jug had a mold inside it and my darling partner actually fully cleaned the jug and toaster out and fix few things, sorry but u guys need to really do Abit of maintenances and keeping the hygienes up But great people thou

Excellent location in a quiet environment with a view over the river and the Haruru falls, just a few minutes walk away. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed confortable. The large common area and kitchen provided everything needed to chill or cook. I loved having my dinner on the terrasse overlooking the river.

To hear the people talking or snoring in the adjacent room.

The staff, especially the operator of the motel, were amazing. Friendly, happy, and very helpful. The room was excellent, and the price was superb value. Quiet location away from the noise and people in the main tourist town. Will stay again and again. Will also recommend to friends.

Would have been good to have dishes and utensils in the room and a tea towel to wash and dry dishes. As it said kitchenette I thought there were things to use. I did end up borrowing from the main kitchen. But otherwise we had everything we needed.

Kitchen facilities and lounge were good although it was not clear in the advertising that they were totally separate from the room. The view to the river and surrounding countryside was beautiful

The selection of TV channels was not very good
