Great location - easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants and activities in Paihia. Good parking. The bathroom was very clean but it was a little on the small side. There was 2 of everything in the kitchen (e.g. cutlery/cups, plates and glasses), sufficient for the 2 of us but that meant we had to wash everything as we used it - not at all a problem though.

We couldn't turn off the outside light on the balcony, but understand that was left on for security purposes so we didn't really mind. As we stayed 3 nights and ate out only once a large salad bowl would have been useful.

Well - the Bounty may not be the ‘flashest’ motel or the most opulent but for value for money, comfort and welcoming I don’t think you could do better. From the moment we got there (late and tired) Bob looked after us as if we were family. Bob had great advice for everything to do with the ‘northlands’ from the best spots, times and facilities for everything we wanted to do. This place is walking distance to almost everything and, with Bob as our guide (and mentor) we got see the best spots, eat at the nicest places and all the while coming ‘home’ to a room the was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We were very well looked after and What more could you ask for.

Been sitting here for 5 minutes trying to think of ‘something’ I didn’t like …. and the only thing was a young person on a noisy motorcycle once a night (and that was out of the control of Bob and the team. ).

There actually a reception with lovely receptionists who helps local information. It really was nice to have face to face conversation with locals, which add more to the trip. There also is some staff on site outside reception hours so in case if there is any issues. Well, we didn't have any issues though! The hotel is located centre of town, near the warf so you can leave your car, enjoy walking to beaches, shops, restaurants, and catching ferry to Russel. Waitangi treaty ground is 5-10 min drive away and there was supermarket also 5 min drive away.

Facility was a bit old, though well maintained and completely functional. so if you are looking for much modern facility, you may not like it.

The unit was fine - just a little jaded and needs a spruce up. We stayed in the bottom floor 2 bedroom unit but if I booked again I would ask for the top bedroom unit as when people walk around on the top bedroom unit it considerably reduces the quiet enjoyment of guests in the ground floor unit. In fact one cannot sleep and it is not as though the people in the top unit were doing anything other than normal walking.

The staff were excellent and helpful and having stayed at this motel previously I was happy to return. It is in need of a makeover but that was all.

The staff were very kind and friendly, The rooms were clean and provided with all basic needs. The beds were comfortable. The hot water in the shower was good and the family room was of a comfortable size for our family of 5.

If not very careful, water from the shower goes outside the curtain as the sidings were a bit shallow. My kids were very boisterous in the shower and the floor was very, very wet. We tried to clean up as much as we can. Otherwise, the stay was a marvelous one.

I loved how perfect the location was. Bounty motel was exceptionally near the mall which had amazing food, also near tours and other amenities. Not to mention a less than 5-minute walk to the beach, 25 minute walk to Waitangi museum, and great views everywhere. The staff were the friendliest and the most helpful! their knowledge about the city and tours came in very handy!

They didn't have their own breakfast/dinner service or food. That doesn't mean it's a bad place to stay. They can focus on comfort and cleanliness and they delivered to the dot. If you do need such services, surrounding hotels welcome casual diners!

This is my second time staying at this place and this time it has exceeded my expectations.The room is very clean, the ladies at the reception were so hospitable and helpful. Rooms are being cleaned and fresh towels changed daily. Location is very convenient to the Wharf and the beach.

Walking upstairs to get to our room. I should have requested this just like the 2 beds instead of 1, which they have accommodated. Towel rack should be heated.

We booked 13 rooms and staff kept similar rooms together which was great for our group to spend quality time together during the weekend. The beds were comfy and Xtra double beds were great size. Toiletries and hot drinks provisions were good. Great parking spaces. Friendly, helpful staff.

We used our own water bottles for hot drinks only because the Paihia water was very chlorinated.

Great value for money and literally a stones-throw from the Paihia town center and waterfront. We had 3 rooms in total (family members) and each room was awesome for all our different needs including wheelchair friendly!! Thank you. Additionally the view towards the ocean is just so lovely. My sister had a Ocean facing room which she loved. My parents had a large unit with 4 beds and kitchenette and lots of space for a wheelchair. My level 2 room was massive! separate kitchen, separate bathroom and the bed was amazing! Great place to stay and we will stay again.

Motel was one street back from main road so it was quiet, 5 mins walk away from shops and restaurants. Room presented very well and was serviced daily, the bed surprisingly comfortable. The grounds were well kept with outside seating and BBQ. Room had separate back and front door entrances with lovely balcony.

Nothing, compared to other places we stayed while in the North Island this would have been the most comfortable, well maintained and value for money we stayed in
