I would say it’s a perfect spot if you wanna run away from hectic city life. I stayed three days there alone. It was amazing but I did sometimes feel a bit isolated. Staff are nice, room is amazing with a lot of facilities, just cups were a slightly dirty but it didn’t affect me much. They have literally everything I want for my future dream house haha.

The location is not that accessible tbh. It is literally on the top of the mountain so it is better if you have a car. I was traveling alone without a car so it was quite inconvenient for me. Uber doesn’t work there so if you are also traveling without a car better book a taxi in advance ( it can be quite expensive tho).

Our stay was a real treat but worth every penny and more. We loved being surrounded by the beautiful scenery, having our gorgeous rooms and no tv! What an oasis. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was so clear that ingredients were freshly sourced and expertly cooked. I mean the only flaw is that you wish you could stay forever!

Very very minor things - jets in the spa baths not working, property advised a solution was a work in progress and the taps in the shower were looking a bit outdated. Small suggestion that as the property is pretty isolated (a bonus!) - you may think about offering some small room service options until your restaurant closes. During our stay we spent all day at the beach and diving, had a late lunch but were then a bit hungry during your dinner service. I know you offer the full dinner meal which I have no doubt would have been incredible but a small menu for pick up from the main house could be nice.

High quality breakfast, quickly served. Would reccomend.

The property is good, the location some people wont like as it involves a small drive on a gravel road, however a competent driver will have no issues. The property was designed rather spread out, so walking between say your room and the restaurant isnt always possible in bad weather as its a distance. As the complex develops, some new roading connecting the villas would be beneficial.

Views were wonderful, road up was bad, very narrow and full of pot holes. Obviously the council isnt looking after it. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The breads at tea and the pastries at breakfast were a lovely touch.

We didnt realise there was no tv. We work together in our own business 60hrs each and at night we always fall asleep in front of tv. So was actually looking forward to watching something together. WE know they had one in lounge bar, but not quite the same. Perhaps there could b a couple of units wif tv's so customers could decide themselves. Plus spa bath didnt go. No mention of this when booking.

The food was exceptional, lovely open fire places and friendly staff. Board games or books to pick from and could take to your cabin for your stay.

Missing board game pieces. (Cluedo) Couldn't have romantic dine in dinner for our anniversary day on Wednesday 13th, however they did make up for it with a platter and wine. The fact that no one was on site from 5pm onwards so couldn't take advantage of the reception, library dinning space and bar for the evening. Would have been lovely to experience this, maybe next time...

1 The feeling: I like how the hotel looks and the inspiration it gives me. 2 Nice room design. The furniture also has a nice aesthetic. 3 Friendly staff. 4 Perfect getaway for a weekend stay. I will consider staying again.

1 Food choice is limited. The hotel provides breakfast and dinner, but the dinner is a $110 per person 3-course menu. It could be perfect for one night, but when I think of staying longer, the limited food choice is a problem. Plus, you wouldn't want to drive a long time on the steep roads among the mountains to find food in town. 2 There are bugs in the grass outside that sting people. The itching has lasted a few days. Remember to wear long pants.

The service was awesome, arrived a bit early and was offered tea or coffee. Our group had a wander around the beautiful premises and then relaxed in the bar/chess room to enjoy our hot drinks. Our accommodation was superb. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Lovely peaceful views of the valley. The breakfast and pastries were delicious. Friendly staff.

We didn't like the drive up to the lodge. Not a fan of gravel roads. Went to Matakana to a concert and driving back in the dark on some parts of the narrow gravel road, was a bit scary.

Several km along the hard gravel road to this idyllic lodge Hotel. Outstanding catering and delightful staff. Amazing view over the countryside yet close enough to visit the surrounding towns. The lodges are spaced around the grounds and lodge 10 was ideally placed between the swimming pool and restaurant both just a short walk away

The isolated loaction was brilliant, the views made the drive well worth it. The main part of the lodge felt high-end and clasyy. Tasefully decorated, but not over the top. The staff were brilliant from booking to check-out and the food was great. The room was large, comfrtable and well kitted out. I really liked that there was no TV!

The rooms, dining and bar were faultless. There are only two things that could've been better - and they are minor... 1) would be for better signage on the driveways - the rooms were a litte tricky to find upon arrival. 2) The room we used for our meeting could've been a bit better set up. A better table, some more comfortable chairs, plus easier access to power and the hdmi cable. Again, minor stuff that we worked through and I would've never thought about again had this not been asked.

Staff were very helpful, polite and the room was very tidy and spacious. Beds were so comfortable and the meals very tasty.

Everything was very good the downfall was my wife couldn't enjoy a spa bath due to an issue with them and being low view was a little limited
