The room was incredibly clean, very peaceful and quiet. We had a small patio where we drank our coffee before breakfast. There wasn't anything not to like about the breakfast!! There were so many choices, cooked to order and incredibly fresh. The yogurt was homemade (some of the best I've ever had) and a lot of the fruit was grown on or very near their property. Our hosts were not the least bit intrusive, and they worked so hard to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They had excellent suggestions for things to do and places to see in the area. We arrived as strangers and left two days later as friends.

...that we couldn't stay longer!

We had a very nice breakfast, although we enjoy strong coffee - perhaps the owners could ask guests their preference in terms of strength of hot drinks. We enjoyed the private sitting out area and walking around the garden, and appreciated Alan's suggestions. The home-cooked sweet treats were very nice as well.

Having strong coffee in the morning (see above), and a bedside table on both sides of the bed. Perhaps the tourist information could be placed elsewhere as the chest of drawers was quite crowded with cups, kettle etc plus our things.

It was a great stay. The accommodation is very quiet and clean. Beautiful rural setting with outdoors sitting available. Birds singing... Breakfast is outstanding. You can select it from the menu the night before. Given that the price of accommodation includes breakfast for two people, it's a great value for money. There are also snacks in the room, including Ferrero Rocher chocolate. We were quite impressed. Lots of great small details, such a a little torch provided in case of power outage, and some bathroom amenities. The hosts are great too. Very friendly and polite. It's close to town centre, yet beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend this place.

I really liked that there were insect screens on the windows. A plate of home baked snacks were a lovely surprise. Located quite close (200m) to Kauri forest walk and local museum. 5 minutes by car to a choice of dinner venues. Live music at pub. Riverside forest light show and music. Unexpected gems. A lovely place to visit. The breakfast was delightful and catered for special dietary needs. Hospitable and friendly hosts.

This is an excellent b&b and I have no suggestions to make on how it could be improved.

We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.

You could not ask for a better breakfast, fresh and cooked to order just as you like, in beautiful surroundings. The bonus of daily sweet treats was very appreciated as you cannot beat Linley’s homemade baking with a cuppa when you arrive after a long journey or an enjoyable but tiring day. The well kept garden setting was very relaxing, so lovely to sit on the patio listening to bird song. Our hosts were very helpful ensuring that we had the best stay possible. Alan is a very knowledgeable and entertaining host which added even more to our stay with them.

The owners of this B&B were simply the nicest people one can imagine. They were very friendly and had lots of useful tips for our onward journey. The room and bathroom were also very nice, with good beds, and as a bonus a deck to sit and enjoy a beautiful garden full of birds.

Not something that the owners could help, but Warkworth's restaurants are all closed on Mondays. So we had some trouble getting something to eat.

Alan and Linley are fantastic hosts of a beautiful property. We were welcomed and shown to our accommodation with explanations of the facilities, places to visit and restaurant recommendations. The room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. There were lots of little extras including some very tasty homemade treats. We had an excellent choice for breakfast beautifully cooked by Linley and presented in their lovely dining room. Everything was fabulous and it’s clear they take great pride in making their guests welcome.

We were so grateful for the two breakfast-to-go packages provided for us because of our early start on both days we stayed. We really enjoyed the homemade persimmon yoghurt provided for our breakfast. Would love the recipe if allowed. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating to our needs and time schedule. Happy and obliging. Lovely hosts.

Possibly a iron and ironing board, otherwise everything was wonderful.
