The staff was great. We had to completely cancel and reschedule our train to Bergen at the last minute and Florence Echarri took the time to help us get it all arranged. We also had to get a new booking for a hotel in Oslo for one night due to the changes and she found us a lovely room at the Hotel Bristol. Just over the top customer service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the room was lovely. Bottom line is that the Britannia Hotel was the best hotel of the seven we stayed in during our trip to Norway.

Words cannot describe adequately the experience in Britannia and the vision of the owner that goes down to the guests. This is a hotel we will surely remember and try to bring friends to enjoy it. The details make the difference and the ambience of the place is truly unique. We have been to Four Seasons in 3 different cities, but we did not feel the same. As for the breakfast, there is little you can say. Unparalleled. The variety and the quality of the food offered is superb. Lastly, the staff was very polite, helpful and attentive in a simple, nice way. Above all, you get all these at an affordable price. I would rate it 11 if I could. The fact that this hotel is in Trondheim with the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral in less than 5 minutes away, makes it a real must. We will try visiting again in Christmas time.

Great breakfast and the staff at the breakfast are also very service minded and super friendly. Nice hotel and facilities. Good location.

Very nice hotel, but we honestly expected more. For example (all very minor points, just not up to standard if you want to be an excellent five star hotel) - we in advance had agreed with the hotel that they would provide a baby cot. This was not installed at check in (room not available before 15:00) and when we got to the room there was no cot. Went back to reception and they said it would be installed between 19-21:00. They then agreed that this was a bit late for a toddler with bedtime 20:00 at the latest and made sure housekeeping came by with the bed. - The tea in the room is cheap quality twinging's (in the spa however there are much better options) - Restaurant: barbecue in the cellar and bistro were below average and service not great.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, very clear in the information. Spa facilities and breakfast were very high standard. Our room was early much earlier than check in time which was great.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable - two singles together to make a double is usually fine in a hotel, but it needed a double mattress topper to make it comfortable. Ours had two singles so we just kept falling down the middle.

Really fantastic hotel right in the middle of where you want to be in Trondheim. The staff was simply amazing and quick to help when we had requests. We were always greeted by the concierge and receptionists when we passed by. I asked late in the evening if they could wash some of my clothes and have them ready for when we were to leave the next day, which was no problem. The food at the hotel is really good. We really loved the breakfast! The afternoon tea was really cool! The spa was also incredible. I can not recommend this hotel enough!

Breakfast was perfect! Food was all very fresh and eggs made fresh to order, service was prompt and efficient, formal table much appreciated! Location close to old town and walkable. The spa was amazing. Had a deep tissue massage and manicure and spent some time in sauna and pool. very relaxing and well equipped.

At Johnathans grill my steak was not tender... should have questioned the source, but display looked appealing... and table setting was very casual(paper napkins)... a bit of a disappointment.

The restaurants were booked and we could get a table to the evening buffet My connecting flight was delayed and I could not make my first nights stay. I did phone in the morning but was still charged for full bed and breakfast

absolutely beautiful hotel in a perfect location. many choices of places in hotel to dine. food was excellent and effort was well done. hall of mirrors is beautiful. enjoyed the chefs table. also very much enjoyed my personal training session learning about the value of kettle bells for fitness.

the spa was just ok. though multiple rooms and choices I thought the temperatures could have been adjusted.

The best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. Just perfect. The room was also fantastic, the best bed. Of course, we tried the spa and it was great too.

I know this wasn’t the hotel fault, but the night we spent there the fire alarm was triggered and we all had to exit the building at 3 am. Just bad luck, I guess.

Nice renovated historical building which make you incredible memory and it is in a really superb location. Perfect rooms and nice touch at the evening they give you a chocholate and a botlle of water in the room. Breakfast is super, very nice and kind staff and nice SPA. I really reccomend this hotel if you are staying in Trondheim.
