The Monarch Hotel

We appreciate the politeness of the staffs especially those at the Cristoforo. The food was good - authentic Filipino food. The restaurant staffs were attentive - refilling our glass everytime and asking if we need a high chair for our little one. We liked the pool. Our LO enjoyed dipping. The hotel location is perfect. There's a nearby shopping mall - not a big one for shopping but enough for strolling. The hotel, in general, is a nice-looking hotel, both inside and outside.

It would have been better if there's a dress code policy in the restaurant like in most hotels where slippers, pyjamas, tank tops and shorts are not allowed at the restaurant. The furnishing of the hotel rooms does not look like they're made of high quality materials. The table/s are not made of hardwood. The bed is made of metal - would have been more luxurious if it's made of wood. The bidet is leaking. The shower head can already be replaced or maybe needs deep cleaning.

Everything is grand. One thing I would like to improve upon is the way they handle the orders for room service. We ordered room service often during my stay and on several occasions, the food orders were incorrect or missing (sunny side up eggs instead of scrambled eggs, forgot a set of silverware, forgot two drinks that came with the meal, forgot the side or bacon). The items that were forgotten were easily rectified - they simply brought it back up. We didn’t push the issue of the wrong order.

The location for me was excellent. The amenities were also very nice with an outdoor pool, a lot of restaurants nearby, easy transport available. The room itself was big enough and was made up very well.

In my opinion, I was not a big fan of the breakfast - although this is subject to taste. I am not too much a big fan of the food that they served but the fact that there were a lot of other options with other restaurants nearby made up for it.

It exceeded my expectation. All department’s staff were all friendly and very respectful especially the housekeeping team assigned in our room.The room is very clean, comfortable and we were really taken care of that made our stay feels like home. There are times when I woke up In the morning I thought I am in my comfort of my own home. Mel the front desk Manager is awesome and very accommodating which made our stay more pleasant.

Booked with booking.com for 5 nights and extended our stay another 13 nights through Monarch hotel. A bit of struggles when it comes to parking spot. We were told it is a first come first serve basis however we saw few times that some parking spot had a reserved cone who were not even checked in the hotel and us checked in for 18 nights had a hard time finding parking spot that my husband had to come down twice late night to checked the parking spot so he can move the car closer which was parked away from the hotel building. What a disappointment.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bed, champagne, restaurant foods was amazing. The staff was best in any hotel I have ever stayed at in the WORLD. The front desk hostess was amazing and true professional.

Honestly the only thing I didn't like is the bathtub didn't drain properly at first. I had to pull the drain hose out of the drain in the CR and clear a hair clog. The hose had been in their for sometime and was collecting hair. This isn't anything to be upset about, or concerned. When running properties and cleaning crews this can be easily overlooked but an easy fix.

The hotel is very picturesque! The hotel and rooms were very spacious. Plenty of amenities in the room and breakfast was a decent spread. The staff were super nice and accommodating! Overall, a great escape from the every day hustle and bustle of the town. The mall across the hotel has plenty options for shopping and eating. Just nearby, there is also a great coffee, massage and spa space.

The water pressure and temperature of the shower could've been better. The rooms could probably do with a little upgrade/renovating. Not much help with information about the area or possible hot spots for a day out.

Such a lovely stay! I love the room with the capsule coffee machine and also the food! Buffet and room service food are all great. The staff were all nice and very approachable. We stayed for 2 nights and would really love to come back again next time. I am from Pangasinan and would love to recommend it to my friends that will visit. It feels like 5 star hotel. Thank you.

I like the breakfast as the selection is not so overwhelming and sufficient enough. Location is good as it is accessible to shops and transport services.

the place could be improved by cleaning well the facilities like the dining area, some walls needs to be cleaned and the floor as well. Toilets in the room has to be thoroughly clean as there are some molds specially on the walls of the shower area.

Exceptionally courteous and polite staff from security personnel, wait staff, housekeeping, and others. They all provided prompt service with a smile. Property is clean, well maintained and as pictured. There was a wide range of breakfast options and not repetitive. Breakfast on the second day was a bit different from first day, absolutely enjoyable. Truly an exceptional experience.

Nothing. I suggest to add puto Calasiao to their breakfast menu.

Not the hotel's fault but on the app I chose prepayment a day before my arrival, it was also on the confirmation letter sent via e-mail as the mode of payment. But when I arrived, they informed me that no payment was made. The system of my bank was not responsive so there was no way to check and I had no choice but to pay at the property. Hoping my bank didn't charge it via this app. Will need to check in a few days.
