View is spectacular from our room of the water and islands in the distance. Breakfast was yum and lunch and dinner meals were exceptional. They organised the boat tours for us when we arrived, and the tours were great! The day bed on the balcony is really comfy to lie in while looking at the view. Anna the receptionist was extremely helpful during our whole stay. We will recommend Golden Monkey to our friends.

Air con cuts out most evenings between 4pm and 9pm, but I think that happens for the whole of El Nido. There's a good fan in the room that still works. The hotel is out of town, but we either walked along the shore to town at low tide, or the hotel has a free tricycle service. It takes about 20 minutes to walk. The peace and quiet of the location is worth the distance.

Breakfast can use variety and more healthy servings of the protein. Location is great, the road going there needs improvement though.

Staff service needs and communication needs improvement. Staff needs to provide information about van transfer to guests prior to the trip for safety concerns. No advance information was provided and even when questions about van information were asked, the staff was still unresponsive. The transport service needs to be transparent about the waiting time of guests. Also, hotel needs to be wary about giving out personal information of hotel guests to third party service providers for data privacy concerns. Guests were not informed that personal information will be given to the van transport.

Seaview is dreamy. You can really enjoy your breakfast/ drink at this quiete place. We had a seaview room with a large balkony. The room was big, clean and absolutely comfortable. Even the one bed in the 2 beds- room was a big one. The outside is wonderful green, everything fitted up to details. Great staff, absolutely friendly and helpful.

The way to there is a bit rocky and muddy (it's rainy season), but they got a bumpy tricycle- transfer to the town and back for free or a walk of just around 15 minutes 👍🏻

And you could add extra for some money. - We booked a room with two beds and when we got there it was one big. After talking to the staff in the morning we found out that there had been a error and it didn’t show them that we booked two beds. We had to sleep in one for two nights and then change. But it was not a problem, they were really helpful and nice.

- The wifi didn’t work in the rooms at all - The rooms were a bit too hot Other than that, I would recommend!!

The resort is beautiful. Get the sea+mountain view room. It is totally worth the money we paid for. Quite far from the city centre but they provide a tricycle free of charge to move to and from one of the pick up points which is very close to the city centre. On request, they came all the way to wherever I had to park my car to get us. Extremely helpful staff.

The location is just a bit far from most things and the breakfast menu is very limited. I still love the place and will give it a 10/10 for the big rooms, patio and the views along with such an incredible staff! A better path or road to the resort would be great.

Location was great. Within walking distance to the main area but not in the centre where it could be overwhelming. Perfect balance. Being right in front of the beach is unbeatable, and even though the beach was not the best one we have seen, the sunsets were incredible. Breakfasts were great.

Unfortunately, el Nido has black outs every now and then and not having aircon/ fan in the room at night is not ideal. We asked the staff and it affects el Nido as a whole but friends stayed in the area during the same days and they did not experience black outs, which makes me think some places have generators. We also had one night when we had a problem with instects in the room. Even though we eventually changed rooms (under our request) there was sluggishness in their response. They were very nice and tried to accommodate us the best they could I guess, but proactivity was missing. After spending over 3 hours dealing with this, it definitely soured our experience.

The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was quite good as well but the best feature of this hotel was the view from our room. AMAZING VIEW!!

The fact that if it's high tide, you can't walk along the beach to get back to the hotel, so you must take other routes to get back into main path toward the hotel. Not many of the tricycles can go on the road/path towards the hotel as it's very narrow so you will find yourself walking to the hotel most of the times but it's only a 10-minute walk from the main town. Nonetheless, if you decide to walk from the hotel to the main town or vice versa just be aware that you will need to pass the cemetery....

It was located right on the beach. The scenery was beautiful. It was 5 min tricycle ride and 15 min walk from the town. The bar/restaurant was awesome with good service and food. All the people who worked there were very friendly and helpful.

Not accessible by car. You need to walk down a narrow alleyway from the town to the beach then walk down the beach to the tricycle pick up point. Then take the tricycle to the hotel. The front entrance floods when it rains.

We loved our stay at Golden Monkey Beach Hotel!! The terrasse from sea view room is incredible, such a beautiful view. The atmosphere is super. The restaurant view is as well incredible, and the food… one of the best we had in the Philippines (Asian/French). The staff was so helpful, so kind, with a beautiful energy and smile. The location is ideal, far from the party environment of El Nido, 15min walking to the Main Street. And special mention to the tuck tuck drivers, we were impressed, very winding street to arrive at the hotel, we had so much fun !!

The perfect view from our room to the beach. Added sunset paradise. The best view for breakfast as well. The accommodating and friendly staff. Their special mini tricycle that makes it accessible for us, 24/7 available.

Waking up to roosters in any time of the day. Its okay, but in the morning it’s really hard. The breakfast was not nice for us because we stayed longer, cause there are no options. The same thing everyday.
