There are no words to describe Hostel Happiness in El Nido. First of all, they have amazing staff. Especially kudos to Jonnaleah, James, Joy and Joseph, who made my stay unforgettable. They are super helpful and every day organize some activities for hostel guests such as: movie nights, pub crawls, night pool party, game nights, trivia night and others. They also organized me 2 island hopping tour which were very cool. Staff is also very social and they are willing to hang out to show you the town after their work hours. When you are a guest in HH you also get some discount to the most popular pubs in town and 15% discount for food in their restaurant downstairs. Happiness Hostel is situated on the 2nd and 3rd floor. On the 2nd floor you'll find amazing common area, where you can find a terrace, games, books, free water, coffee and tea and bathrooms. When I spent time there I saw staff cleaning the floor every hour and shared facilities were super clean. On the 3rd floor I had my dormitory and it was also really good. Comfy mattress, clean enviroment, good AC, access to private terrace. I was so happy, so I extended my stay there and then I went to Boracay and booked Happiness Hostel branch there :D

Everything was perfect!

It was a small, intimate hostel with a great location. Happiness Hostel is on top of Happiness bar where you as guest get 25% off, on their lovely breakfast. They also have dinner and drinks with good vibes in the evening. Housekeeping cleaned the bathrooms almost 24/7. The hostel are good operators for tours and scooter renting. The receptionist, Anne is the best and sweetest to guide you and have great conversations with. She helped me and my friend a lot and it was the best service ever! she really makes the place worth it and feel homey. They also have free drinking water which is great! And two USB charging point pr. bed - Also a big plus.

The hostel has a “no shoes policy” which is a great idea in itself with all the sand coming in from the beach, but it also means no shoes in the toilets and that is perhaps not the nicest.

This place was a gem! I loved staying here and watching the boats leave in the morning for the tours. You can sit on the deck and watch the town and people. You have an ocean view and nice lounge to chill. Very social hostel, engaging others in activities to make it fun and chill. Very comfortable beds, lots of storage and privacy in the rooms. I loved the idea of collecting bracelets and getting discounts. I still wear mine 😊 I did two tours with the hostel Tour A and C and both were great and company that we went was very friendly as well.

Not property related but someone took my hairbrush from the bathroom 😞 not very pleasant experience.

Super cool place located right in the heart of El Nido town. Amazing staff who will literally help you out with anything you need. The rooms are nice and you still have a lot of privacy with the way they are setup. Right on the beach front and their restauarant/bar downstairs is so good, some of the best food and drink in El Nido! Extra 15% off when you stay in the hostel is handy too. Great facilities all round, good value for money.

Only issue I found was that there are no locks on the doors for your room! Even though the hostel is super secure, this might be an issue for some people. Otherwise, perfect place to base yourself when exploring El Nido.

Very lovely hostel with great facilities. The common area has space to work with plugs and seats, place to chill with beanbags and a place to sit and watch the street. There is a cafe downstairs which has nice food. My bed was comfy with a curtain and shelf. The staff were lovely. On the first day there was some local food to try and we played card games in the evening and went to a bar.

I have had to knock off one point because at 8.30am on Sunday morning a guy downstairs in the restaurant kitchen started doing building work which is just a bit thoughtless. Everyone in 2 dorms woke up. It is attached to the hostel so a bit of thought maybe needed there!

Staff were amazing, really everyone, joy and james and the cleaning ladies. All were so lovely and helpful, they really did the best they can to help Great location, great balcony. Nice comfortable bed with privacy with a door and a locker inside and a socket. They clean all the time. They arrange tours and give tips. The treated me always with greets and a smile

There was no seperation between men and women bathrooms and toilets, it is all the same, that made me feel uncomfortable. They were outside the rooms, so a seperation is logic, just put signs. One of the showers did not lock and a man accidentely entered while I was there...secondly, you have to take your shoes everytime and walk barefoot, which lacks heigene and felt uncomfortable. Many stairs to reception and room.

I just loved the Happiness hostel! The staff is super nice and friendly, ready to help you, but also to chat and play games. There is an activity taking place every night. I also enjoyed the common area with swing and many places to chill, but you’re also able to work there. It’s in the very heart of el Nido, close to the beach where all the boat trips leave.

It’s quite noisy some night as there is music from places on the main street. I’d also appreciate having more space, like shelves, to put my stuff on Ion the bathroom and shower, but those are just details.

The hostel is located near the harbor so you will not have difficulty walking and it is not required to travel if you are planning to go on a boat trip. Accessible to all establishments, like restaurants, souvenir shops, church, convenience stores, city hall and etc. The food and drinks at Happiness restaurant and bar are very good. This is something I will reccommend with my family, coworkers, and friends. I will definitely come back next time! All the staffs here are kind and helpful. Kudos to Jonna, Joy, James, Cris, Mark and ate Mela. Thank you for all the help that you provided while I was there. My 8 days of stay here became extra special because of you. Keep it up and don't get tired of doing good to others!

The bathroom was okay but I know it can still be improved.

The events the hostel hosted. It is very close to many restaurants/ shops & the beach including the port for ferries and boat tours. The discount the hostel offers in its own restaurant for food is handy when budgeting, the food was also brilliant. Staff are very helpful and welcoming, rooms are always kept tidy, same goes for the reception area and bathrooms/ showers.

the showers weren’t amazing pressure wise but it was pretty much expected in a hostel. The cubicle size as well is also quite small but again it’s a hostel so nothing more really expected. The signal wasn’t always working which was frustrating at times.

The rooms were well equipped, light, fan and locker next to your beds and the privacy of the wooden shutters was great. The staff on the front desk were super friendly and helpful, free tea and coffee at all times and bananas / bread for breakfast was also very nice. The cleaners were constantly cleaning which was great and the discount at the restaurant below was decent.

It was less sociable than we expected, although we did miss out on a bar crawl that had been arranged due to illness. The shared bathrooms have large windows that are open often which meant lots of mosquitos hanging around in the toilets/showers.
