I loved everything about Maligaya Beach Bungalows, but I have to say a special word for the staff, all of whom are at the top of professional and welcoming; Iyan and Bev really made me feel at home and special, more than in any place I've stayed before. They were so kind and helped organize everything I could possibly need, from kayaks to dinner to boat trips to massages. If you like massage, ask for Mika, a truly talented massage therapist. The breaksfasts, delivered to the room, were fantastic and beautifully prepared. The room (Bungalo 5), was stunning, spacious, comfortable and clean. The view directly on the beachfront can't be beat; and the attention to detail was exquisite. Overall, my stay was a total joy, far beyond expectations. I strongly recommend.

If only I could have stayed longer!

Where can I start, when in came to El Nido we decided that we want a quiet stay really close to town and Maligaya Beach Bungalows was definitely the best choice. Staff: Beverlie & Ian have been amazing. We do travel the world but it was the first time we got such a warm welcome. Beverlie was kind enough to give us a lot of details on food, activities, laundry, tours and answer all our questions. She really loves what she does. The both of them would be a reason to come back to this little paradise. Room: The rooms are absolutely beautiful, they are just 5 in number. We got the one that was facing the beach and we had an amazing time. Really clean and comfy, they equipped with air conditioning and fans so you will more than survive the warm climate. Breakfast: There were available upon pay different sets of breakfast. Really nice choices and they bring them to your room upon time request with a creative touch. Loved it. Location: Just a 5 minute ride via tricycle from town located right on the Corong Corong beach. This beach is not amazing for swimming especially during the time of year we went (August 2023) but its the starting point of the tours you definitely want to do (Tour A, B, C & D). You can walk there no hustle. It is also a 3 minute beach walk (depending on the tide to a nice Italian Restaurant (Bella Vita). What can I say it exceeded our expectations. We are so happy we didn’t choose to stay in town. This way we had the relaxing and joyful experience we were going for.

Nothing at all

Everything. Location is perfect, rooms are located right next to the beach, and within walking distance of some nice bars and restaurants. The room itself is lovely and spacious, the bed is very comfortable, the shower has hot water and you also have a lovely veranda to sit out on in the morning for breakfast, or to just enjoy the sound of the waves. Breakfast is an additional expense but worthwhile, coffee is free. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. The staff are excellent, very friendly and extremely helpful. Couldn’t ask for better really.

I’m aware this is completely outside the control of the resort but the beach is slightly dirty and the water is not so clean or clear, however, a 10 minute walk up the beach you’ll be able to take a dip!

good location on Coron Coron beach. About a 20 - 25 minute walk to town or 5 -8 minute ride by tricycle for 100 pesos. The staff was great and very helpful ( thank you Bev and Ian). There are only 5 rooms so they can give you personal service to book tours, transportation and what ever you need. The Wifi was good and we had no trouble connecting to the internet for texting, internet calling and surfing the net which was helpful since we did not have cell service on our phone. The room had good air conditioning, toilet, refrigerator, and shower. They only serve breakfast which we enjoyed. There are restaurants near by that you can walk to or you can go into town for lunch or dinner. We really liked the Italian restaurant Bella Vita which was 5 minute walk along the beach and you can watch the sunset while you have dinner. We booked one tour and they came to pick us up at the hotel and we boarded the boat near by so did not have to go into town.

The beach in front of the hotel is little rocky and not swimmable. We went to Vanilla beach which was about 10 minutes by tricycle. This is a white sand beach and very nice. The hotel does not have a pool but who goes to El Nido to swim in a pool.

Very private and secluded spot. Great place to rest and relax without the noise of the late night parties in town. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They did everything they could to ensure our stay was special. ❤️

Internet was not great. Part of that is just island internet, but they also could use a better wifi setup. They have several different wifi networks rather than using repeaters or a mesh network so there’s lots of cross-network interference. It was rare to have a good connection. There was also several power outages. I don’t think either issue they have a lot of control over though, so I wouldn’t fault them for those much. A secluded island town is naturally going to have its issues.

Perfect location for all El Nido activities. Friendly staff, always assisting with every need. Beve is a very caring and lovely manager. She and her fellow staff members organized all the island hopping, scooter rentals, transfers, and more for us. We stayed 11 days and really felt at home at this place, as it is small with a personal atmosphere. They offer good breakfast and lunch packs. You just step onto the beach and reach restaurants and sundowner bars nearby.

The beach itself is not good for swimming. However, you can reach Vanilla beach in 5 min with a tricycle, and also, kajak tours are the best from this spot.

Everything was Perfect!!! From the lovely and kind staff, to the perfect location (nearby the center but still quiet and one of the most beautiful sunsets ever). The Beachroom that we booked for 7 nights was just perfect. I dont remember sleeping anywhere so good than in Maligaya. The room was so beautiful you can see the love for the detail. Perfect AC and Netflix if someone wants to use. Clean toilet and hot shower, i loved it!! If it comes to breakfast, it has a small but perfect menu. A yogurt fruitbowl or a salty dish with sausages, eggs and mango. Mango yogurt smoothie was my favorite but they also have frenchpress coffee which was good. Everything will be served in front of your room with beach view for the perfect atmosphere. Ate Beve is for me one of the best receptionists ever she made every wish come true; Organised a kayak tour or told us the prices for the tricycles so we don’t get robbed. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so amazing. Take care and see you again!!!

That we had to leave and go back home when our holidays where over.

Firstly, I would like to thank the staffs of Maligaya Beach Bungalows for their hospitality. Most specially to Bevs for being so accommodating. This is a long over due review. Me and my husband stayed here last month for our 4day trip in El Nido. Our room has a nice view of the beach front from our balcony. They serve only breakfast upon request but there are a lot of restaurants nearby to choose from for lunch and dinner. Their breakfast serving is very generous and taste good too. They book our island tour for us as we requested and it was really fun. Our guide/photographer/human drone, Happy, was really entertaining. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

My daughter and I spent three wonderful days at Malagaya Beach Bungalows in El Nido. The staff couldn't be any nicer and accommodating. They saw to it that we had a great time and provided every support we could possibly need. Breakfast was great, booking of island hopping tour was easy and all recommendations were great. I wanted to give a specific shout out to Beve. She went above and beyond to help us and was always available to answer questions and assist. We had a large bag with us that we didn't want to take to one of the other islands we were visiting and were able to store the bag with them for a day which was incredibly helpful.

We loved everything about Malagaya Beach Bungalows. Its in a beautiful location, the room we had (ocean front) was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The staff were extraordinary. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Will definitely recommend to others.

The bungalows are nicely decorated, beds are very comfortable. The staff are amazing, very attentive and helpful. The location is perfect, close to some nice restaurants. Even though the beach in front is not great for swimming, it is where a lot of boat tours leave from (so it’s just a short walk to start your day trip) and it makes for beautiful views all day long. There is a very nice cocktail bar just next door, which we highly recommend. There are plenty of good restaurants at walking distance. Though breakfast is not included, we can recommend it because it was delicious.

The place doesn’t have any other facilities itself, so it’s just the bungalows. If you want a swimming pool, on-site restaurant, bar or gym, you’d be better off somewhere else - plenty of other accommodations along the same beach that are more “hotel/resort” type than the bungalow set-up.
