I loved everything about my stay in Golden Pension House. This was the perfect place to stay in Puerto Princesa and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The room was so clean- the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. The facilities were excellent, and the room had a small fridge, mineral water and a kettle. I also loved the terrace outside and enjoyed my breakfast there. The staff were so wonderful, welcoming and helpful. They are the best hosts. The husband very kindly dropped me off at the airport, which I appreciated so much. The women took my breakfast order the day before, and they delivered the breakfast to my room. There is a lovely food court a short walk away if you arrive in the evening like I did and need to eat dinner. I felt so safe and secure while staying there. Overall, a 10/10 experience for me. Thank you for a comfortable stay!

There was nothing I didn't like. It would be good to have a small hand towel for hand washing in the bathroom and maybe an option of some fruit for breakfast but this is me being very picky. I loved my stay here and I would stay again in the future.

Highly recommend this place! We were able to walk there from the airport in 20 min and it's only 3 min by car. Very near the main street, bay walk and the mall/groceries. Our room was very clean, the AC was cold and the shower worked wonderfully. It even has a refrigerator to keep your drinks nice and cold. Our hosts were very accommodating, letting us drop off our luggage early and stay a little late in our air conditioned room while we waited for our transport. They were super friendly and informative as well. Great spot close to the airport that has everything you need.

The room is huge. It looks like it has been renovated a little while ago. The breakfast includes the price is okey and they serve it at your room. The owners are super friendly. You can book your day trips and van to El Nido from here. The location is good, next to the main roads where you have lots of restaurants, shops, spas and a huge shopping center.

They have a plastic cover on the mattress, I understand why but it’s not the most comfortable. If they would have a pool, the place would be perfect!

Right in the heart of Puerto princesa, short walk to sm mall, clubs, pubs etc which is so handy, cleaned my room completely after 2 days, a simple but free breakfast always on time. But all the materialistic things aside, I think the main thing that stands out at this place is the owners hospitality, he was waiting patiently at the airport for me for a free Pickup, the lady organised tours and transfers for me, both time after time let me in to the property with smiling happy faces always, hospitality makes a great motel and these guys.. Honestly just the nicest people you will meet on the globe. . I really miss them already 😢 haha

The fact I didn't stay longer.

I like the location, hospitality and friendliness of the hosts / staff, size of the room (which looks like a studio apartment with balcony), and cleanliness. The unit is ideal for couple due to its "home" ambiance. Mr. & Mrs. Ariel & Leny took care of me as if I was a member of the family. Mr. Ariel patiently waited for me at the airport during my arrival and made some suggestions on where to eat and go for entertainment. He also brought me to the airport for my departure. My tour to Palawan was a last minute decision with nothing booked but my flight and hotel at Puerto Princesa, but this did not become an impediment as Mrs. Leny took care of all my bookings for tourism including the hotel at El Nido for an overnight stay. Every itinerary that I've had was a last minute decision but Mrs. Leny always ensured that I had an organized daily tour. She also had a fallback itinerary being reserved in case the tour may be cancelled due to weather condition. This proved to be very effective as one of my tours was cancelled due to strong winds, which resulted on all tours to be cancelled, so off I went to the alternative tour that Mrs. Leny reserved for me. She did the same to the other guests of the property. For breakfast, I requested Mrs. Leny to eliminate rice due to my low carb diet. She was quick to suggest if I prefer an extra egg or vegetables in lieu of rice. Everyday, Mrs. Leny's sister was bringing my breakfast ahead of time to ensure that I don't miss my scheduled tour. This is a world class hospitality. I really felt like I was a member of the family. Highly recommended!

I discussed my recommendations privately to the hosts. I was very impressed with the humbleness of the hosts.

Location is close to downtown. Food court at the end of the street. The hosts are so kind. Very nice couple. Breakfast was served at your door and it was good. I even had dinner with them one night as I was traveling solo. They took me to the airport upon my departure on Christmas Day. They also helped me schedule tours and a private car.

I see some people talk about the outside street.. it is not paved but very safe.

Really big spacious room and bathroom. Probably the best shower I’ve used so far in the Philippines in terms of pressure and temperature. And the cleanest place I’ve stayed too. I love that breakfast is dropped off to you! They gave free airport pick up service! Which was amazing after my 12 hour journey. Great hosts, very helpful

It is down back lane and at night time, it isn’t very well lit up and as solo traveller, wasn’t too keen doing that walk solo eat night but with that being said I didn’t have any problems. You do need to drop your key off at reception when you leave the property. Which wasn’t a big problem but I worried coming back late about keeping the hosts up. I guess that was more my worry than an actual issue 😊

The owners were lovely, providing breakfast at 5am before an early flight and taking me to the airport. I felt very welcomed. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was hot. Water provided in fridge and some toiletries too.

Similar to another review I didn’t go out at night because it was down a short dark street but it most likely would have been absolutely fine. I was just extra cautious as a solo female traveller. I would definitely stay here again though if I was around and needed to be near the airport.

The hotel is managed by an absolutely lovely and thoughtful couple. From managing our late check-in, to cooking breakfast early in the morning they were wonderful. The hostess even saw us off and gave us some kind advice on continuing our trip (no ice !). The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We cannot recommend this place enough!!

Super clean and comfy room. The bathroom had warm water in the evening during our stay, despite it being solar powered. Super helpful hosts, who also brought us to the airport. Perfect for a short stay close to the airport.

There was some miscommunication about the breakfast and time for departure, but this was quickly resolved.
