Grand Ascot Hotel

the location was good as it was close to the main square but not too in the middle of it so was quiet and peaceful. the room was spacious and staff were friendly enough

the breakfast was not good very limited and no fresh coffee or juice, old toaster that barley worked not much fresh baked goods, the housekeeping was pretty poor they literally just make the bed and replenish the towels. our drinking glasses were not replaced during our whole stay and the bathroom was not cleaned at all either - the room itself was dusty when we arrived. no decent coffee making facilities in the room just instant and a little kettle, no ice machine - not really 4 star.

Nicest, most helpful staff ever. They kindly advised us on many things and were able to prepare a lunch box for us on two mornings when we had early departures (to Auschwitz and to the airport). Can't say enough kind things about the incredible front desk staff. Lovely location - very close to the old town, but away from the noise and near some very cute restaurants and cafes. Would absolutely stay here again.

The bathroom doors were like what I have as a shower door at home, i.e. they don't touch the ground and there's no noise barrier. In a room with a king bed, I understand this, but in a room with twin beds, this implies it's not a couple travelling together, and one can hear everything from the bathroom.

Super location as very close to market square and easy to walk to all surrounding areas. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and sights close by. The hotel reception staff were welcoming, with quick check in and helpful orientation with the use of a map. Modern decoration and clean. The family room design was excellent. Very comfy beds. It was helpful having a fridge and water was provided. There was a safe in the room too which was helpful. The toiletries provided were a lovely mix of smells. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of choice. We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was superb. All dining staff were enthusiastic and helpful.

Bathrobes were not in the room and these had to be ordered via reception. It would have been helpful to let us know about this at check in. The roof blind mechanism did not work in the main bedroom and was stuck in closed. Although there was a window, there was little natural light. The air conditioning seemed to turn itself off at around 3am so we woke up as very hot.

Perfect place for a stay in Krakow - everything is close by, staff is really friendly. Family rooms had a separate room for the kids with two separate beds, which is great, because it is rather difficult to find such sort of accommodation. And it has really great bathrooms which large shower :). Very clean and comfortable with heated floors.

The family room is located on the first floor (at least the one we had), the windows are very high up, so it feels a bit like staying in the cellar :). And it was really cold there :) - but we only spend the nights in the room, so it did not bother us. The only small disappointment was that the hotel could not arrange anything at all small or smaller for a birthday surprise at a breakfast time for our daughter that turned 14 on the morning we were checking out. I approached them with the question 2 days in advance, the reception offered to talk to the barmen, the barmen did not know what he could do, etc... they all kept forwarding me to someone else to talk, it did not seem like anyone really cared. Oh well ....

The bed was super comfortable, extra pillows were greatly appreciated, the lighting and the AC were simple and easy to control the blackout curtains were nice, and the shower, bathroom, the space in the room the fridge, and the closet were all top-notch.

it is a relatively small thing but the faucet at the sink in the bathroom did not protrude far enough from the back of the sink. It made it difficult to get your hands under the running water... and when you did, you ended up with water on the rear of the counter surface right under the tap.

The location of the property was centrally located to where you need to visit the main parts of Krakow. The rooms were of good size and very comfortable beds. . The gentleman running the bar was extremely friendly and very helpful in booking us a table after his recommendation which I must say was the best !

The only negative was at breakfast as we kept having to ask for more bread, baked beans etc the staff was not on top of keeping it full. The hot food was cold and the eggs not cooked. However, if you go to another country you can not expect to have the same english breakfast as you would get here.

*There is one elevator *They have only one trolley for taking the luggage. *You should do a self-service for taking luggage to your room. *The bed was extra soft, and I did not sleep comfortably. *Breakfast was too simple, so I preferred the next time to have breakfast outside the property.

The location of the hotel was the main reason of booking, however we was pleasantly surprised with the modern decor and ambiance of the hotel. Everything was perfect and the breakfast was actually one of the best I've had in a European city.

There wasn't anything in particular I didn't like at the hotel. Everything was to our liking. If I was being overly critical, I would say the bed could have been larger/firmer pillows, but this is personal preference.

I liked the staff and the cleanliness. And the style and design of the hotel. Very simplistic. Tall guy downstairs in the bar and restaurant was cool and made me a very good cocktail. Knew exactly what he was doing. Cool guy

I didn't like the bathroom door. It had no lock. And there was a gap around the entire door. I know it's the design, but this makes some people very uncomfortable. And the hair dryer kept cutting out. I rang reception, they sent someone quickly but couldn't do anything for me. Also maybe it's the polish architecture but the small areas of the room are lost for no reason due to the design. I felt this was unpractical.

The hotel was really close to the historic center. So going to town was not a problem. The Rock Music Club, cafes and the Žabka store were located 200-300 meters from the hotel. The hotel is modern and the facilities are in perfect condition. I understand why he has a good rating on booking :)

Limited car capacity in the hotel's private garage (plus price - 80PLN per day). Not far from the hotel is a 24H car park, which has decent prices and there is still someone in the car park. You just have the car outside uncovered.
