Beautiful hotel, very clean and well managed. The rooms were bright, spacious and airy with everything you need, all well thought out. The breakfast was very good with a good selection and served until 11 which means there’s no rush. Everything made us feel calm , relaxed and well looked after, especially the staff who were so attentive. The beach was stunning although you do have to walk a down a lot of steps to get to it. We went outside to the little shopping area just from the hotel and ate there a couple of times which was a lot cheaper and really nice too, if you were looking for something different.

Nothing except that it was a little expensive to eat and the buffet wasn’t really worth the amount. We weren’t sure whether the hotel was at full capacity however there wasn’t a great deal of space around the bar area so if it was, you’d struggle finding a seat. The same with the sun beds, although there was another pool area a little way around the complex that would be extra space.

Our four night stay at the Epic Sana Algarve was one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. First, we were greeted by an amazing gentlemen at the front desk - even if it was late. The bellboy brought us to our room where we felt we were royalty. The room is spacious with a balcony with a nice view from the 4th floor - even if we did not have a special view of the premises. It is also spotless clean with all that you need for an amazing stay. Breakfast was absolutely perfect with a lot of choices. Service during breakfast was also very courteous and on point. The hotel amenities are amazing! We used the outside pool during the day, the inside pool during the evening (and we were alone every single time). We can use as many towels as we want. We went to the beach that is - to our opinion - the most beautiful beach we saw in Algarve and very easy to get to with the hotel pathways. And talking about the pathways - it is very well maintained! Do not hesitate to do a walk around the hotel at night, under the trees. It is a romantic moment we will keep in our hearts for long.

Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to be back. All details below. HIGHLY recommended. Welcome: very friendly valet Assistant that took care of our luggages and welcomed us with a big smile. Check-in: Ricardo assisted us, very well prepared, very good English, gave us a nice and extensive description of the Hotel and the Activities. No waiting time and all went smooth. Room: WONDERFUL, spacious, big and comfortable bed, very nice balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and comfortable chairs. Toilet: very clean, plenty of amenities, a wonderful big bath and rain shower. We were told that our room “427” is one of their best, and definitely we can confirm! Pools: there are several pools, some for adults only, others were kids are also allowed. Perfect water temperature (visited in June), not deep so that everybody can enjoy. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, nice towels are provided, and there are Staff members ready to assist bringing food or drinks. Gym: it has both a cardio section and also weights. Very clean, perfect temperature, overlooking the internal pool. Breakfast: very kind and attentive staff, buffet has plenty of options, savory and sweet. Slightly limited gluten-free offerings, but a few options are available. Restaurants: there are several and ALL are EXCELLENT!! They contribute to make the stay even more pleasant. I have reviewed them separately, all are highly recommended. Excellent quality, great Staff, reasonable price. Access to the sea: it’s a 5-10min walk, part of it shaded by pine trees, the rest thorough a wooden stairway down a cliff, directly to the beach. Very nice. Beach: wonderful, perfect for those who love long walks. You can also rent an umbrella and two sun-beds for a reasonable price (for June at least, 12EUR till 2pm or 18EUR the whole day).

The hotel is very well maintained, the breakfast includes such a wide variety of delicious things - there are also fresh omelettes prepared for whoever wants and the sliced fruit are very very tasty, etc. The rooms are quite spacious and if you choose an ocean view room, they would also be quieter since not exactly close to the pools and restaurants that are always packed with people. The beach close by - Praia da Falesia is amazing. The inner pool worked 24/7 which was great as well.

The cleaning personnel entered at different times everyday and often if you asked them to come back a few minutes later in the morning, they wouldn't understand what you say and would enter 5-6 hours later when we were trying to rest. The restaurants are quite overpriced for what they offer, the room service was actually the cheapest thing if you wanted to eat a certain thing at a certain time and not eat at a buffet or have a 35 euro risotto with one prawn in it. Our opinion at least. The spa was not included and you have to pay every time you want to use it, not to mention that it is not something special.

The pool areas were kept clean and there were plenty of chairs. The hotel was beautiful! The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated, especially the lighting and TV set-up. I loved the balcony as it was both relaxing and private. The hotel smelled so good. It was very comforting. The Japanese restaurant was on point and so delicious. The morning buffet was consistently delicious. The walkway to the beach was great. The spa was wonderful. The bar and evening entertainment was so enjoyable. The only thing that was out of sync was the evening buffet. The food quality was not good, which I found very surprising considering the super high quality of EVERYTHING else. Maybe it was just a bad night for that. Anyway, I highly recommend a stay here and I would love to come back again.

Honestly one of the best Hotels I've stayed in if not the best. Houskeeping was amazing. The pools were all great. The Restaurants A1, there is also a buffet restaurant which as a buffet restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast was always amazing. The staff was incredible. The location was perfect away from the party tourists in albufeira. I will definately be going back!

The breakfast has a wonderful selection of food. Cleanliness is good and service is great. We stayed in the garden suites which were a great location and nice size. Having a few pools in the resort give you a good selection of either a family pool or some quiet time.

The decking around the main pool area is damaged and needs repair. The mattresses and pillows are old and are not great quality and my daughter stayed downstairs on the pull down sofa which had a terrible thin lumpy mattress which was not pleasant as we stayed for 9 nights.

Very clean and easy walk to the most beautiful beach

The property, while on top of a cliff-next to the sea, has NO sea view. Not from the pool, or dining space, or anywhere (unless you walk outside the hotel and up to the fence). Based on the pictures of the property, I was expecting a nicer view. Additionally, there was no proper reception when checking in (which would’ve been nice for a “5” star hotel), and there was NO free water in the lobby, or at the pool.

Perfect combination of calmness, beach and overall nature in Algarves´ best location. Beach is right outside of the hotel. Restaurants within the resort offer good options. Also easy to access main attractions outside of the compound for those who are willing to explore. Restaurants, night life are abundant, but the resort is still isolated if you chose to just relax and rest.

Might need some investment to get the furniture and decorative elements up to date. Check out should have been quicker. Went at 10h30 AM and was able only to exit the front desk 40 min later.
