Quirky hotel with excellent staff

We loved our stay at Casa Oliver Boutique. The customer service during our whole trip was fantastic. The team were so helpful and kept in touch with us when our flight was delayed and we arrived later than expected. When we got there the fan was already on in our room, the radio playing and two complimentary pasa del nata on the side, which was a really nice touch. They were also amazing when we realised we needed to print a train ticket off at the last minute the day before we were leaving. I messaged them at around 9pm and asked if they had printing facilities and they asked me to send over the tickets which were then printed and left under our door for us when we arrived back that evening. The room itself had such a lovely feeling to it and had a very quirky/ boutique vibe which tied in beautifully being in such a gorgeous city. We had large windows with shutters and a fan which kept the room cool during our stay. There was a coffee machine with complimentary pods for the first use and a kettle/ tea bags etc. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

The only thing we could mention is that we were sent a message before checking in to inform us that breakfast is available on the first floor each morning (starting from 28th June 2023). The team didn't mention any costs for this so we (probably stupidly) assumed that it was complimentary. We were informed after that it was 15 per person which we were happy to pay as the breakfast was nice to have but it would have been nice to clarify this beforehand.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Upon arrival, the lady at reception checked us in quickly and smoothly and also offered us several restaurant recommendations. The rooms were beautiful too, very sophisticated and chic. Granted the property isn’t right in the city centre, but it isn’t a far walk and there are bus and tram stops nearby as well as restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

This is a very minor point but when booking, I requested a view of the botanical gardens. Although that’s what the room was supposed to have, it wasn’t what I envisioned as it overlooked a parking area and you could see the trees behind. That being said, it wasn’t a major issue as we spent most of our time exploring the city - not staring out the window.

Old World delight. Great marble bathroom and terrific shower. I liked the overall vibe/decor. Very clean. Staff wanted me to love it there. Fabulous large park directly across the street. Easy walk (downhill) to the train station. The bus back up the hill stops right in front of the hotel and only €2 from the train station area. Terrific restaurant next door that is kind of a hidden gem. Gin Lover's Restaurant. It's in a beautiful building. I feel it's a must.

No air conditioning but with open windows and a fan I was comfortable. Also, with heavy bags, I struggled a bit with some stairs. Not a deal breaker, and they helped.

Very boho decor, rooms were very pretty and clean. Breakfast was limited to a choice of food and a beverage but was healthy and delicious and served outside. Very friendly staff, they offered to store our luggage before our flight.

We got a room right next to the entrance which was super loud (front door was being slammed every time someone would walk in/out) and next to the reception where there was always people talking. I recommend to install a damper to slow down that front door and prevent it from slamming and maybe better doors for those rooms next to the reception. Slept with earplugs every night .

The greeting at reception was very friendly and the information was very concise and clear. The room was in accordance with the expectation of a Boutique B&B . Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of food. The location of the hotel was as described but could have been a little closer to the center of Lisbon. However, with the information provided regarding transport availability, it did not provide a problem especially as walking is a little difficult for me. Should I visit Lisboa again we would not hesitate in booking Casa Oliver Boutique B&B again

The frontage was not clear as to the address and through the door could do with brightening up. Nothing else comes to mind.

My flight was very much delayed that I arrived to the hotel after midnight. I warned the hotel beforehand and with the horrendous time, they upgraded my room to premium which was super kind of them. And when a radio played when I entered the room, I totally forgot about the flight. The breakfast is actually quite nice. It has very healthy options (omelette, fruits and brie-cheese). I wouldn't say 15€ is the value for that breakfast but if you need to quickly grab a bite, I would recommend.

Strange noise comes from the bathroom whenever a shower/toilet is used.

Beautiful, spacious room in a terrific location opposite Jardim do Principe Real. Large, comfortable bed. Staff prepared flowers, sparkling wine, sweets, mini pastel de natas, strawberries & figs to celebrate our engagement.

Ground floor room by the main road a little noisy at night if windows open (required if windows not open in the day as it gets warm/stuffy - no aircon). Possible to hear noise from floor boards outside the room & see light from the corridor as other guests walked past in the evening.

great location. very nice and accommodating staff. very clean, though housekeeping did not come to tidy the room until I asked it to. (or perhaps they just forgot the first day, I didn’t leave it to chance after that.)

it would have been great for about 40% less than what we paid. our room did not look nearly as nice as many in the photos, even though we reserved one of their higher priced rooms. we were below the ground floor and it smelled musty in the hallway. room smelled okay, fortunately. some noise outside window. breakfast was just okay. a cramped room as noted in other reviews and one small, low-volume coffee machine that really wasn’t robust (or fast) enough to serve everyone efficiently. they should have two. some variety of breakfast would have been nice too. it was essentially the same every day.

The staff is really friendly, always doing their best to provide the best service. the location is just perfect! best place to stay in Lisbon.

The bathroom was really small and I guess they need to repair the tubular system. The smell after flushing is not a pleasant one.
