Wonderful and interesting hotel with helpful and kind staff. Clean rooms decorated in a really special style to honour the past of the building that once was a cabaret...there is a lot of history to read between the lines. Stylish and different, with comfortable beds and pillows, spotless housekeeping and a lovely little enclosed garden terrace to hang around and have a drink. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of cooked food, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and pastries. The location is perfect for exploring the city, near all the major sights, walking distance from Bairro Alto and other places of interest, while situated in a quiet street, so you get a decent night's sleep. Very friendly and proffessional reception staff as well as the breakfast room staff. I really enjoyed staying in Maxime hotel and would love to return.

The hotel is in a perfect location. One street back from Avenida de Liberdade so it is close to the vibe but it is quiet. At night you can sleep well and it is sound proof. Very good value for money. A lovely breakfast. Very professional and competent staff. Comfortable beds.

It would be nice to have some shelves in the room to place clothes. Only hanging space was available. There was only a Nespresso machine and no kettle or tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast starts at 8:00am, which is not ideal if you are there on business, which one of us was for 2 days. 7:00am would be much better.

Clean, grade staff, room upgraded to mini suite after request, five minutes walking to the city center.

Hotel in a good location close to Avenida metro station. Hotel room overlooked the square but was very quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate out in nearby restaurants but the breakfast each morning offered a good choice with continental and some cooked options. The garden bar area was quiet and although it has no view, we enjoyed just sitting with our drinks and catching our breath after being out all day.

The room, being a double, was a little limited for storage and hanging clothes. The coffee machine was set up for espresso so you need to request other options if your preference is tea or a bigger coffee with milk etc.

Location was excellent, right off Liberty Avenue, making everything extremely walkable. The room and common areas were very comfortable, plush, interesting and extremely clean (not even dust on the picture frames!). Breakfast was tasty with lots of options and a comfortable amount of guests; I am veggie and had lots of options. The bed was comfortable and there were nice touches to the room like the curtains being drawn for you at night, and a personalised welcome message on the TV. The staff were extremely helpful and polite; the HDMI became unstuck in my room and they were very quick to resolve, no issues. There’s a cute kiosk in the park directly opposite and a lovely tapas bar around the corner. Felt very safe as a solo traveller. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, would definitely visit again - thanks Miss Maxime!

As a Brit, I did miss the use of a kettle in my room. Just be aware that shows might be on in the bar until 12:30 and on weekdays (Thursday). Not a problem for me, but could be an issue if you have an early flight / like early nights (I could clearly hear from my room on 1st floor).

I loved everything with Maxime Hotel. I Ioved the unique theme of the hotel. The room and bathroom was beautifully designed and it felt like being in the past with Marilyn Monroe. I played her music many times when preparing to go out just for fun. The room is cleaned everyday and refilled with new water bottle and coffe in the morning. No loud noises from outside or anything else that keept me from my beauty sleep, thank god. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variations. Being a lone female traveller I never felt unsecure in the hotel or in Lisbon. I could walk to the majority of my destinations which were mostly 5 min to 20 min away and I only used Uber in some occasions (Uber is quite cheap). It is very close to the metro station and busses but I didn't feel the need to use them. I also loved walking and enjoying the beautiful city so I did not mind it. The staff is however the best part of the hotel. Very service minded, helpful and kind. They are also very happy to offer tips on restaurants and activities to do in Lisbon. Amazing and beautiful staff. I highly recommend Maxime Hotel 😊❤

There is really not much to complain about. I know it would be nice to have a closet but I did not mind the beautiful hanger because it went with the theme of the room (dressing room). There is no minibar, but I had no problem without it either.

The whole hotel was so clean and nice decorated. Also the breakfast was perfect, everything was fresh and were replaces as soon anything was finished. All the staff were vert kind and helpful. The way from airport to the hotel can be done very easily by public transport. Also the Hotel provides transfer service (25-30 euros). The location of the hotel was also perfect, we walked to all the sights that are around 3 km.

1 evening we had the dinner at the hotel - there are less vegetarian meals, but something can be find. Furthermore, we got potatoe gratin to the meal and it was bacon in it - nevrr had this before, maybe the menu can be adapted and can be described more detailed

Great breakfast and helpful staff whenever we had a question. Everyone made us feel welcome.

Room was not a $220 a night room. Small and no place for two suitcases besides floor and one stand. No desk or table or chair.....just a bed and a real small table for coffee maker and water glasses. Room phone never worked even after they said it should. Toilet would run after flushing and I had to take the plate off the wall to reset it. Faucets in sink were loose and either gave you a trickle or a blast of water as there was something wrong with the pressure.

The staff was very friendly and welcome. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, too, food was delicious and good quality. Just the coffee had a strange taste - we suppose that the hotel is using some kind of beans with the hazelnut taste. Would be better with a normal coffee.

Expected the room to be more clean (it was nothing very bad, but I found a bunch of hairs in the shower the first day so it wasn’t a very good first impression to be honest). We’ve noted that the purpose of our stay is our honeymoon so kind of hoped for some attention in this regard, but nothing. That’s okay, just would be nice :)

Unique burlesque / cabaret theme to the rooms is funky and different. There's a performance area which hosts (tasteful) entertainment most nights downstairs although we didn't go to any, or use the bar so I can't comment on that. What's really nice about this hotel is that the decor is all quite slick and dark and cool,, great on a hot day, and the place has a nice feel to it. Rooms well equipped, great bed (I looked forward to getting back into it when I got up every morning for work), bathrooms good and great shower. Staff super friendly, seemed to have a smile whatever time you arrived back or woke up. Oh, and the breakfast was consistently good too. Busier near the weekends (we were there Monday - Friday) as the tourists arrived but the clientelle all seemed quite nice and well behaved so this wasn't a problem.

Water bottle in room was unsealed - they resolved this immediately. All in all a trivial detail in a really good stay for work.
