Breakfast was great—eggs, fruit, cereal, veggies, etc. There was a nice outside eating area. Location was great—right in the historical center, within walking distance to major sites.

Because the hotel is the only one in the center of town that has hundreds of rooms and so caters to groups, the breakfast line can get very long. However, the staff moved everyone along.

Great central location close to Rossio square and all the main tourist attractions in walking distance. Nice rooms with everything you need for your stay. We had a great view over Martim Moniz Square with the Tram line directly across the street. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Rooms serviced daily with fresh towels. Mini bar in the room with reasonably priced items. Roof top bar and views over the city were amazing. Room available to store your luggage on day of departure if you have a late flight.

Some others here have commented on the activity in the square directly in front of the hotel but this did not put us off our stay. We felt completely safe with security on the door throughout the day and night. The main door can only be opened with room key at night.

This was our first stay at Hotel Mundial and we were met with friendly staff who explained everything very well. The doormen were very pleasant and check-in was very smooth. Our room was lovely with a great view of Lisbon! Staff were hospitable and provided extra touches, and even called on our second day to check if everything was okay. The rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy a drink and soak in the beauty of Lisbon. Staff here are also friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was abundant and staff were very helpful.

The bathrooms are dated and need an update - a contrast to the bedrooms which are very well-appointed. The rooms on the corner are also a bit noisy as you are overlooking Martim Moniz square. It would be good to provide some milk for the tea bags :)

From check-in to check-out everything was great. The location is right next to all the main streets and a 10 minute walk from the boardwalk. The breakfast was rich and tasty and the room has a very nice balcony overlooking the castle. It was extremely helpful that the hotel has its own parking available to us.

Depends on the room's location - it is made in different hours - even up to late afternoon hours. Since we came back around noon wanting to rest, we ended up a couple of days without the room being cleaned. This was resolved after contacting reception and asking them to clean the room up to 12pm.

great location with walking distance to most attractions and popular restaurants in Lisbon except Belem district. the staff members are so sweet and accommodating, when we asked to change a room without facing the noisy plaza street they granted our request immediately. the room was spacious, clean with a lots of counter and closet space. the bidet in the bathroom was an extra bonus :-). we also loved their breakfast buffet, with a variety of selections, fruits, breads, cheese, pastries etc., you name it, and all very delicious!

not so convenient if you bring a car. driving into and out of the narrow parking garage was very challenging and good luck with it!

Perfect location for city break. Very central. Metro and trams right outside and tour buses nearby. Walking distance (maybe 10-12 mins) to Castle and Commercial Square and plenty or restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. 2 x free drinks in bar included. When returned to room on first day, 2 local pastries and a small bottle of port on table, free. A very nice touch. Fridge in room and good air con. Nice view over square and big, comfy, double bed. Buffet breakfast is substantial with an extensive choice. Rooftop Bar is fab, with a DJ and views over city and castle. Really nice relaxed vibe. We arrived there early (about 6.30pm, music starts at 6) to beat the rush as we had heard it can get busy. Even got a call from reception to ask us how the stay was going. Highly recommend. Only thing missing was a pool, then it would be perfect!

At breakfast, staff didn't inform us of option to eat outside on the terrace, but this is a minor blip. A bit a a wait at check-in, but have waited as long if not longer in other hotels.

The location was perfect. There was parking although leaving the lights did not work and was a little tricky leaving. It had a rooftop bar and restaurant which was lovely not only for the view but the food and atmosphere.

Leaving the parking area as I said before was tricky when the lights did not work when we were leaving. Trying to back down a curved exit from on coming vehicles was very difficult. Blowing the horn while we were exiting did not work well. Parking was also very tight so a small car works best. Other than that the parking was good.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Close to Metro, Yellow bus tour, the Trams, and tours we’re less then 5 minutes from Hotel. They have a small super market right next door. Many restaurants in area. On arrival the hotel staff were very helpful in letting us know How to take the elevator up to castle. Calling us to make sure everything was Okay. The breakfast was amazing. Two serving areas accommodated everyone in room. They sent us cheese platter and wine last day. We were so thankful as we had a long day in Sinatra. Thank you so much for taking Excellent care of us in Lisbon.

Excellent location for trams and the metro. Plenty of space in the 'classic' rooms and plenty of hot water. Very good breakfast, seated quickly. Reception staff were helpful and very patient - especially when a huge party of Americans arrived to book in!

No kettle/cups/tea/coffee in the room - given you get this in most b&b's in seems particularly stingy. However, kettle & cups delivered to the room on request - but our friends who also asked for this found it removed the next day, we hid ours away! Staff had a most peculiar manner in allowing you onto the roof terrace - first ignoring us, then a curt 'wait there' and there were empty tables, then taking their time to serve us. We didn't bother to go back.
