Very clean and the staff were very nice.

I didn’t think the neighbourhood was amazing from a tourists perspective - having spent a few days in Lisbon, I think there are betters areas to stay on holiday.

10/10! Loved the room, the staff, everything was perfect. We were 3 girls in the room and had plenty of space, we got a king sized bed and a proper 1 person bed, everything super comfortable! Friendly and helpful staff let us keep the luggages after the checkout on our last day. Would totally recommend. Everything was new and super clean, loved the experience

We enjoyed our stay at Vila Garden Guesthouse very much. The staff is very helpful, patient and kind. The room was perfect! We booked the suite; a very large and beautiful room with a very large balcony (with sun in the morning from approx. 9AM until 1PM / in November). The bathroom was also very nice and huge! There was a large whirlpool as well as a nice shower! If you want, the housekeeping will clean your room everyday. For us, a few times in the week we stayed, was enough. You can hang up a sign "please clean my room" or "Do not disturb". The bed was also good; not too soft and not too hard. It was also nice that there is a communal kitchen for all the guests. There is a big fridge, freezer and even a dishwasher. And also a lot of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc... There is also a toaster, so we could make ourselves breakfast and enjoyed our own made breakfast at our balcony. If you have a question you will get a friendly and quick response, even via whatsapp (question about what to visit in Sintra for example...) If we will visit Lisbon again, we will stay at Vila Garden Guesthouse again! And don't forget to try the bakery 'a padaria portugesa' nearby. The brownies are the best ever! There are several shops of 'a padaria portugesa' in Lisbon.

We liked everything about this place! Best stay in Portugal, during our 4 week holiday... (Together with our apartment in Lagos: HENRI'S APARTMENTS - Pateo de Santo António): also perfect, like Vila Garden Guesthouse!

We stayed at Vila Garden for 4 days. Everything was quite perfect. The hotel is located right in the middle of two metro stations within walking distance. This means that it is 3 stops away from Rossio Square, which is the center of Lisbon. The entire crew members working at the hotel are really friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Joana and other crew members.

Elevator would be nice.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Great location, near city center and with great metro connection. Comfortable and very neat rooms.

Sound isolation could be better.

This place was a great choice for our vacation and visit to Lisbon! Wonderful, peaceful, clean with friendly and helpful staff! You can be sure that they think of every little thing that you might need: from instructions on how to get to accommodation, a city map, recommendations for what to visit, where to eat,...we also used the kitchen, although in the room you have everything you need to prepare tea or coffee, and in standby is drink, juice, water, snacks that you can find in the refrigerator in the room and that are paid symbolically. I recommend this place to everyone!

The staff were all really nice and welcoming. The room was a good size, and the bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is not that pretty but felt safe, and it's a short walk to the metro and only a few stops to the centre of Lisbon. Swipe card access to the building and each corridor was good. The pastel de nata on arrival was very welcome! Soundproofing was great in the room.

Lots of steps and no elevator might make it difficult for those with mobility problems, although this is to be expected in an old building. I found the bed quite hard although I've found that in other places in Portugal so it may be a national thing!

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I slept like a baby. The location is ideal for public transport; it is very near a metro station so getting from/to the airport was very easy. It is also just a short (15 mins) walk from the city centre. Love the staircase with the wooden stairs and ornate bannister. It is also very convenient to some local restaurant which is a lot cheaper than city centre ones. Also very close to a good choice of coffee/pastry shops and we managed to try a different one on each or our 5 mornings there for breakfast.

The air-conditioning took a while to get going especially when the remote needed several 'presses' to activate it. Once it got going, it was good and we could set the temperature to our liking.

Even though my flight landed late due to the airport strikes (baggage handlers), reception staff were still very friendly and helpful when I finally got there! The room was exactly as described on the website. The premises were spotlessly cleaned every day but the cleaning staff never disturbed me or my schedule. I loved the bathtub because it meant a big sudsy soak after lots of walking. The ability to shut off the street noise with the special shutters on the window was much appreciated. And relaxing in the private garden was a particular treat!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and we also got a free upgrade to the suite. The rooms are clean and look beautiful. Many little decorations and the star light on the ceiling was nice. The window blinds are really really good for darkening the room. The hotel is well connected with metro and bus. It's relativly quiet, considering it's location and building age. You can hear and feel the metro a little bit, which didn't concern us during our stay. We also got a little dessert and welcome chocolate due to my partners recent birthday, which was a very nice gesture.

The room was very nice, but our balcony was on the other side of the street. We could see the little garden but also hear the loud noise of some industrial air conditioners from a restaurant. BUT the windows are really isolating very well, so it didn't bother us much.
