The hotel was in a great location & the views are spectacular out over the bay & islands. The facilities in the pool & spa are excellent and everything you would expect. The food in the pool bar was very tasty and quick. The breakfast room was spacious well equipped and the breakfast was good. The room was lovely, it was clean tidy and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable

There was building work going on next door and the area looked a bit deserted. In fairness they are probably doing all the work before their season begins in earnest this week

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view and fabulous facilities. The location is magnificent. The food is exceptional and make sure you have the breakfast when you stay. We celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay and the staff made it a very special day for us. If you visit the Algarve and love luxury then please include this hotel in your plans

Staff were excellent, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfy.

The Spa was disgusting, smell of sweat and mums with their kids using the hot tub as a kid's pool. Unacceptable response by the receptionist when we shared this disappointment with her. I paid to use the Spa and I couldn't use it. The natas at breakfast were not nice, I would expect fresh natas from a Portuguese 5 star hotel.

Nice pool area especially for the kids, excellent breakfast, good, spacious, reception area what one would expect from a 5 star hotel.

The major problem my wife and I encountered was- when we arrived early tired and weary and hot after travel and fully accepting that check in time was 3 pm we sat and waited. we were told that our room would be on level 2. At 4 PM we were given a room on level 4. We were "compensated" with a a free drink voucher- but not for an elaborate drink like a G and T but a small glass of either wine or beer. Small recompense we felt.

Great location opposite the Ria and Marina, walking distance to all shops and restaurants. So-so pillows Staff tried very hard, but all quite junior Good selection of food at buffet

Housekeeping was hit n miss Robes smelt very badly of fried food Towels and robes were older and yellowing Noisy AC fan Cleanliness everywhere could have been improved upon- elevator glass, windows, glass doors throughout Breakfast room is a very large, cavernous place so start the day with screaming kids, plenty of confusion and noise Room service lunch was truly bad-

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. The room was accessible and spacious and we did enjoy the view. The staff were all very profession and friendly.

The beds are very soft though comfortable. We requested a handicapped room which was very accessible, however, why there is a bathtub in a room for handicapped people seems hard to understand. Also, because the handicapped accessible rooms are only with an ocean view, we had to pay more for the room than originally booked, which seems unfair, honestly. So a handicapped person pays more because they have a disability?

We had a double room with sea view of beautiful - Ria Formosa. Room was bright and large. Bed comfortable and pillow menu. No problem with air conditioning or noise. Bathroom large too with deep bath/ shower in the bath. Robes and towels all good quality. Room, bathroom immaculately clean. Can however see why reviews mention hotel looking tired as few area where the wallpaper is peeling - just needs a little bit of tender care here and there but nothing major. Breakfast was good - buffet style with choice of eggs, hot food, good fresh orange juice, espresso coffee machine, loads of pastries, fruit. Room a bit dark butfine for quick breakfast. Staff lovely We didn’t use the pool area - ( pool small - seemed to have plenty of sun beds, umbrellas - none were broken) preferred to get ferry to beaches. Ferry lovely 1k walk from hotel. provided towels for use at the beach - threadbare and fine for beach but wouldn’t be happy for pool or spa use. Great selection of wonderful restaurants, cafes near the hotel - head to the back streets. Staff helpful re our request to leave luggage on early arrival and late departure with use of the spa for showers. Would definitely stay again - we had a wonderful three night stay in beautiful Olhao - a good, solid hotel.

The staff were all fantastic, friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The breakfast was always perfect with an ample choice for continental, full breakfast, fruits and pastries. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious with a good choice and excellent value. The indoor spa facilities were really good too with a great gym, sauna, steam room and heated indoor pool (jacuzzi was a bit cool).

I think the hotel is currently going through some minor maintenance as the outdoor pools were being worked on while we were there and the corridors to the rooms looked like they were about to be spruced up a bit as they required it, but these works were only minor and did not detract from our stay.

Great hotel. We were staying in a dreadful airbnb but so awful we went to check out Real Marina for final 2 days of holidays. Viktor on reception couldn't have been more helpful. We were showed a couple of rooms and within minutes we were checked in. The rooms are clean and spacious with everything you need. Comfortable bed and balcony with sea view. There are ample sunbeds around the pool (though they do need to do a QC on them as some torn), also sun shades etc. We had lunch at the outdoor bar. I had a look at the menu but appeared to be no vegan/GF options - yes I know I'm a pain. However the delightful and funny Bruno made it his mission to ensure the chef provided me with a delicious meal. Pasta carbonara with G/F pasta, tofu and vegan chopped sausages, just wonderful. Breakfast is buffet style with so many options including a cheeky Bucks Fizz. Also one of the most elegant Maitre'D ever, she was so stylish. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, helpful and thoughtful. Already looking at a return.
