We were very pleased with the large room and comfortable beds. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Especially the staff in the evening in the restaurant were extremely attentive! The breakfast buffet was exceptional from my point of view. There were different combinations every morning. The presentation was with so much love and made and was very attentively replenished. Extraordinary! The location was great because there was a very short walk to the beach. Also the hotel pool area was very nice and cozy. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our vacation.

I found the buffet in the evening a bit expensive for people who don't drink alcohol. The food was very fine, but the choice was limited. I would have liked to eat more often at the hotel. The food was great and the attention of the staff was exceptional. The price kept me away. But this is just a note from my side.

Self service breakfast is excellent - lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and hot food - something for everyone. The restaurant was good at other times too - super food and not much more expensive that those in the nearby towns. The pool was super - clean, well attended, and actually sheltered (deliberate?) from the often prevailing wind. The room was nice too - with a super view on the Peniche harbor. It is a 20 minute walk from the hotel into Peniche, to a significant number of super restaurants and a historical fort. Beginner surfers tended to head in the other direction, to Baleal beach, which had the best choice of waves for those just starting. I personally preferred the vibe of Baleal - less industrial than Peniche, which of course has a thriving fishing fleet and processing set-up.

It was difficult to get the air-conditioning right in the room, but passable. (My room was fine, but the one shared by my lads was generally too hot. Leaving the window open during the late evening/early morning helped. It would be nice if the tennis court was resurfaced. It was fine, but needs some attention.

We were punished by not having breakfast included with the room as we booked the room with Booking.com. The staff told us that we would get breakfast if we had booked directly with the hotel. This is the very first hotel in Portugal that did not include breakfast! At this price no breakfast is ridiculous.

*The hotel TV channel selection did not include any sports channels - had to go to the bar to watch the US Open. * The restaurant at the hotel only offered buffet dinner at 34 euros per person. * The breakfast was 14 euros per person, a ridiculous amount * The staff was very unfriendly and did not care about customers at all

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The manager (Luis) upgraded us to a nicer room on the 3rd floor with a great view. The room was spacious. We paid extra for breakfast, which was well worth the price. The hotel is a good size outdoor swimming pool and also an indoor sauna and Jacuzzi. The hotel is closer to the beach (less than 10 minutes walk) and about 25 minutes to the Center Peniche. Overall a great experience.

Wi-Fi.. it was much slower so we ended up using the Personal Hotspot for our laptops.

Breakfast was great at a good price. The location was perfect for beach going. The pool area was comfortable to sit in. The view was wonderful. Parking was excellent. Air conditioning was excellent and needed in the humid climate in Peniche. The sound proofing was perfect. Beds very comfortable.

If the dinner had more than two choices available -- like a full menu -- we probably would have eaten at the hotel. The only downside about the location is that it is really not within walking distance of eating establishments. If you are a person bothered by the sound of traffic even though the sound proofing works great, it may be a bother to sit out on the balcony because the hotel is right next to a busy man road.

The hotel is fabulous. Everything is spacious lobby, halls, bar and restaurant, the spa. Comfortable room and beds, spacious bathroom and nice towels. Staff is very friendly. Everything is great!

I've stayed at MH Peniche numerous times. I would recommend the following improvements: Deep clean of the rooms from time to time, as there are some stains on the walls/curtains, etc. Find a way to give road access from Av. da Praia, as it's an inconvenience to have to go all the way up to the N114 roundabout to get back to the hotel road entrance.

The bed was very comfortable and the room a decent size. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and there was a gap in the glass shower door, so it was difficult to avoid wetting the floor and the bath mat when showering. Both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools were too heavily chlorinated and unpleasant to be in. The indoor swimming pool room was also terribly hot and unpleasant, so we did not use it. perhaps they could investigate using an ozone and ultra violet light water treatment system?

beautiful new hotel, with ample parking. Loved our rooms, spacious and well decorated, very clean, with soft towels. Close to the beaches. Good car access. Excellent choice for breakfast. Good swimming facilities. (and great that towels and bathrobes were provided!) The kids loved the playroom, with the surfboard and the computer, we loved the welcome drink.

Pity that we didn't have connecting rooms, as requested in our booking. (I know the hotel said they would arrange it if possible, so it wasn't a 100% certainty, but we would have enjoyed the stay more had we been together and not separated)

A clean hotel, a large room, close to the beach, bring a bathing cap if you want to enter their pool, it's a shame that you pay 3 euros for a cap. We tried to etting the evening at the hotel, the intention is to order one dish from whatever they had in menu . They didn't agree, they wanted us to take all the portions in the seam. I really didn't understand... I can't eat and don't want to spend so much money in the evening, we went to another restaurant and could only order what we wanted.

Everything up to the expectations (except the pillows... see below): hotel is simple but modern and confortable, room was big, clean and nice, breakfast was very good.

Pillows were awful and had a bad night sleep because of that. They were not old and are probably ok for someone that likes very soft ones, where your head just sinks inside the pillow. Not my case. Beds had two pillows each and I'd rather have one soft and another one not as much than two very soft ones. Apart from that "small" point (but which ruined my sleep), everything was ok.
