This is a very nice, cute, little boutique hotel. The breakfast was outstanding and included many choices, some of which were local (e.g., milk, honey, jam, cheese, etc.). The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and provided us with some great tips regarding the places to eat and to see. Overall, we had a really great experience!

To our dismay, every morning we observed a very unscrupulous guest in the breakfast area who was stealing dozens of delicious buns and other baked goodies and stuffing them in her large purse. Some people just have no morals! We felt sorry for the hotel as this type of theft clearly eats into their profit margin.

we loved our stay with Hotel do Colegio. Great locations, right at the centre of Ponta Delgada, near all the coffee places, restaurants, attractions and etc… the staff was lovely and super helpful. they have a garage that , when available, was much appreciated. The breakfast was good and plenty. the check in super quick and they let us in before the agreed time. the room was cleaned everyday. bathroom very cleaned and with some welcomed soap’s and shower gel.

the bed was too hard for our taste and had a plastic cover underneath the linen that made noise each time we moved. the walls between rooms are thin and we could hear all the conversations in the room next door, this was a bit too much when our next room guests were having a discussion at 03am…. though that the price for the overall price experience was a bit too much.

Hotel Colegio has the best location very comfortable and as large as many Jr suites the staff are always vey professional helpful and very accommodating a couple minutes to waterfront restaurants and great for walks along the bay. Only a ten euro cab ride from airport and about 10 minute walk to a great shopping mall where you can find many of your favorite brands and a fairly large food court a huge supermarket and even a dry cleaning I also noticed a public laundry a few steps from hotel. Rate includes a great breakfast and hotel also has a sushi restaurant open for lunch and dinner and lastly a beautiful building it was a college before it was changed into a hotel. I recommend this lovely hotel to anyone who is looking for a gray place to stay.

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel and liked it. The staff was great, extremely kind and helpful. The hotel was nicely decorated, the room was large and clean, cleaned every day. We had an armchair and a little sofa at the desk. The hotel is very well located, close to everything - many restaurants and shops at walking distance. The hotel has a Japanese restaurant with delicious dishes and great service. The breakfast, although the same every day, was generous offering multiple choices for all tastes. The pool looked nice but we could not use it as it was too cold outside (in February). We needed two umbrellas and the receptionists were so kind to borrow them to us. / I had a business meeting in a morning, earlier than breakfast's opening, and the staff was nice to offer me a business room and a coffee. / We've got guidance for the attractions and trips around the island and helped to be in contact with a travel agency organizing tours. / We could have late checkout. We would happily stay again in this hotel!

Free internet not working well. Poor light from a few lamps. No kettle for tea or coffee. No tomatoes or salads at breakfast. Some days and nights it was cold in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and clean. We were lucky and had a corner room with 2 huge floor to ceiling windows making the room light and airy. (Though others looked nice when we walked passed.) I thought breakfast was very enjoyable with plenty of options, vegan options were slightly more limited but that’s to be expected - though there were a variety of milks and still some food options. The location is great just a couple of minutes walk to the main square/church and plenty of food options around (the hotels evening restaurant was great too!) The garage is an interesting experience being tucked away underground and if it’s full there is plenty of alternative parking near by.

My mistake: I booked this hotel to be "close to the airport"... unfortunately, ALL the rooms available were facing the street - Saturday night, and I had to get up at 4 am to catch a flight ✈️ I got little or no sleep too, noisy clubs / bars / people talking loudly until 1 am - I was exhausted - can't blame the hotel. I just don't know ponta delgada well enough...

The property was very clean and the location perfect. The front desk receptionist, and they were three at different times were excellent representatives of the hotel. We are from Bermuda and they went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had arranged for a tour which the driver never showed up. The receptionist arranged for a taxi for us to take a day trip. The taxi driver Ricardo was very accommodating as we had two teenagers Who were anxious to see azores. On another occasion the receptionist male made possible for us to have another taxi for early morning pickup. She also arranged for us to receive a packed breakfast. Well Done Hotel Collegio. There was nothing I did not like

the building itself is an old school and it has been very sympathetically converted to a hotel. the location was excellent, only. short walk down to the seafront and the marina. the staff were all excellent, helpful and friendly.

we were disappointed that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and subsequently discovered we should have asked at reception, perhaps a sign in the room could have indicated that these facilities were available on request. The bathroom needs a makeover, there was not a separate shower cubicle, instead the shower was over the bath with a shower curtain rather than a shower screen and the bottom of any bath tends to be quite slippery.

The room and bathroom were spacious. Bed was extremely comfy. Lovely power shower with hot water. Breakfast was delicious, a good variety on offer. Hotel is in a central location within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the promenade. Lovely pool area. The staff were very friendly and made one feel welcome.

There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as described on your website, but the reception staff were very obliging and arranged for a kettle and teas to be put in the room.

The hotel has a great location, central in Ponta Delgada, 10 mins away from the airport by taxi. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it takes max 10 mins to get to closeby restaurants, cafes and the harbour. The hotel personnel are very service oriented and kind, and I particularly liked they packed breakfast for me on my last day, when I had to leave early.

The breakfast buffet itself is nice but not varied at all - definitely something I would expect from a 4* hotel, by adding vegetables, more fruits, more variation in breads and pastry, and more space. The walls between the rooms are thin enough to hear sneezing, the TV or other joyous activities the guests are engaging in.
