The best thing about it is location - I couldn't think of better one! Spacious nice apartment that had kitchen merged with living room and separate bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen could be excellent for long stays. Overall very quite location (except for the crackling sound - see below). Very nice, helping and welcoming stuff.

The worst was the crackling sound from the roof that started at the middle of the night. It wasn't constant - few seconds of that sound followed by 10-30 seconds of silence - I haven't slept half night because of it. If not for that - I'd give 10 out of 10 to this property. My guess - missing sound insulation between inner wooden roof and outer tin cover. Wi-Fi can support only one device - after connecting my wife's phone I couldn't connect my laptop (and it was OK - I checked that by connecting to Wi-Fi hot-spot on cellphone). There were many narrow high stairs that we had to climb to get to our room (3rd floor with no lift). The hand-shower was leaking, though rain-head worked nice, so no big issue here.

Loved this property. The apartment was clean and so quiet. The bed was comfortable which is important to me as I have a bad back. The large shower had great power and was amazing 5 stars. Only a few minutes walk to the bridge and 10 minutes to the riverfront and to Lello bookstore. The staff was very responsive to our requests. There is a fado show (Casa da Guitarra) right around the corner which was excellent. I would stay here again!

The only thing we found strange was there was a small tv tucked on a wall near the dining table. It was a strange location as if it were an after thought. It would have been better in the bedroom. Anyways it did not make much difference for us as we did not watch much tv.

Lovely accommodation next to The Porto Cathedral and Bishop's Palace, a great location to explore the city but nice and quiet at night. The flat was in lovely condition with ample space and a good-sized kitchen, not that we used it. The complementary Nespresso capsules were a nice touch. After-hours check-in was very straightforward, and the hosts' communication was excellent. They even came in and tidied up midway through our stay, which was not expected for an apartment stay. It's really, really good value for money, and I would definitely stay there again.

The location is excellent. Ines on the front desk was excellent. Friendly with great tips and suggestions. I arrived in the morning and she stored my luggage and messaged me when my apartment was available. A pleasant girl who clearly is a people person. The Dom Luis bridge is around the corner, please try the Ham and Cheese toasted sandwich in the cafe bar on the right with a Super Brock. It was the best sandwich I ever had! So much to do in Porto. The 500 bus stop is just down a bit from the apartment and I enjoyed a day on the beach, Praia da Luz. Andante tour bus and metro ticket for tourist travel, very handy. Bolaho market is fab also.

I was happy with everything, some suggestions on nearby supermarkets to get a few basics would be helpful.

Really great location. Beautiful apartment with everything you need and plenty of space.

Knew there were stairs, just didn’t quite realise how many stairs there were to get to the apartment, so was a challenge with luggage but we managed. But definitely worth being aware of if you have really have bags or injuries etc. There was also construction next door which could be heard during the day. Luckily we were out most of the time, but would be good to know in case someone is wanting to rest during the day.

These apartments are in such a good location. We could easily access the bridge (about 2 min walk from the apartment) to go over to villa de gaia or you can walk down to the river front. You're also about 10 mins walk from the centre with the shops and restaurants and it was really easy to navigate. The property was very clean and I was surprised that they popped in to do a room make up in the week, which was a really nice treat. Comfy beds, too! The team there were really helpful, we arrived before check in so they looked after our luggage whilst we went exploring. We got back about 4pm to find the luggage had been taken up for us, which I thought was really kind as we had 2 big suitcases. They also arranged for our taxis to and from the airport, as well so massive thanks to Helene for your help. There are a lot of stairs in the property so getting luggage down was fun and I would imagine if you have children and need to use a pram, you would probably need to request the room on the ground floor. However, saying that, I would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this property. It was very well located. The apartment itself was super clean, and very well appointed. The staff were absolutely amazing. They organised breakfast for us and also a taxi to the airport. They also helped with directions. I would highly recommend this property.

One thing I did not like was the coffee machine. It was difficult to use compared to the machine I have at home. Also some more pods might be a good idea. Other than that everything was perfect.

Great location.

We were short towels & pillowcases so had to sleep without the first night as no one at the desk to get help. Not a good place for people on the Portuguese Camino using a luggage transport because the hotel people arrive at 10 am & transport comes at 8. As it turns out, they had not communicated coded to the transport company & we had to pay an extra 35 euros to get a cab to deliver our bags. Lots of stairs with heavy luggage, no elevator.

The location is fantastic. We came on the train from Portimao to Sao Bento and it was a bit tricky to find the apartments but when we did we realised how close and central it is tucked in behind the cathedral. The reception staff are very nice and helpful. Communication prior to and whilst we were there was very good so much so it was a pleasure to meet them. They met all our requests and requirements and were very accommodating. Thank you

Just trying to pin point where Dom Hugo apartments were on arrival by foot and I suppose the stairs but we were fortunate and pleased to be on the first floor.
