Very nice property, old building refurbished to modern standards at the exceptional location just few minutes walk from Luis I bridge. Spacious and well equipped room with AC for cooling/heating, good breakfast at the cafe downstairs and friendly and helpful staff.

As mentioned in other reviews, located very close to the road tunnel so could get noisy due motorbikes/cars deliberately revving up the while driving true at night time. I am not a very deep sleeper but someone used to living in busy cities so it did not make much of a difference for me especially after long days sightseeing and walking up/down those hills in Porto. However, I can see it being a problem or some.

I would say the best two words to describe My Ribeira are "charming" and "cozy". From the friendly staff, to the beautiful stone walls and well decorated room, to the delicious cafe downstairs, everything was lovely for a quick gateway to Porto.

Indeed the sound by the road nearby can be louder than normal, however, I would say the issue is mainly attributed to the motorcycle drivers who love to show-off their bike's sounds on the tunnel due to the eco it makes. The windows are not new but that is also part of the charm of the guest house! :)

Big bed, nice smelling soap, excellent coffee, close to the river and old town, nice staff, enough towels

There is no lift so if you have a heavy suitcase and a room in3rd floor, be prepared. If you stay more than 2 days, breakfast gets boring. Otherwise breakfast is very good (bread and croassant, some butter and jam, slice of ham and cheese, a portion of yougurt and fruit) but it is the same each day. Heavy traffic very early in the morning, because the accomoddation is by the road and the tunnel - but I am a light sleeper so if you do not have problems with sleep, it would be ok.

This is called a Guest House but is basically a full-service hotel with daily maid service and an adoreable coffee shop on the ground floor for breakfast. The rooms are lovely- the building dates back to 1800s and is remodeled but still has charm. Loved the record player in the room with albums to pick from. The best part is the staff. They went over and above. One young man used the Porto map they have to outline how to do a walking tour- pointing out things we would have not known (places to see, restaurants). Another young man set up a trip to Duoro Valley for us (in a small group of 7). The young women that works in the coffee shop was outstanding also. Breakfast is not included but is delicious! Very close to the riverfront and the bridge.

Be aware that you will have to walk up stairs (maybe 60 or more!) with your luggage but this was not a problem for us. It could be for some travelers. Definitely worth the climb! The hotel is right at the tunnel but our room was not loud (they have shutters to block noise).

The team were friendly and helpful! The space was bright and spacious and it’s in a great location as it’s steps away from the water and nice restaurants. The cafe on the main floor is great with delicious breakfast options. There’s a small grocery store beside the apartment for the essentials.

The shower is super tiny! The room is so big with gorgeous high ceilings but the shower is really tight so just be prepared for that! Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I think this can be corrected with a mattress topper or pad to allow for a relaxing sleep. But despite these things it didn’t compromise my stay. I had a lovely time :)

The location is just a block off the Douro river with lots of shops and restaurants, music and people watching. And walking uphill you are also very close to the cathedral and more shops and restaurants, and laundry just a couple blocks away. Anna checked us in, key codes, and another lady served breakfast which was very good. The room was spacious and clean, very much enjoyed staying here.

The only negative is the location on a busy street, with lots of street noise late at night and early morning, and during our stay a lot of sirens and horn honking.

The staff was very friendly, made an amazing breakfast for us, the cafe is super cozy and everything is delicious. In the room everything looks new, the bed is very comfortable and the room and all areas are very clean

The hotel is located in an extremely noisy road. the street below it is at the end of the tunnel and cars honk all the time. The noise is terrible day and night. Would not recommend for light sleepers.

Very central location - a short stroll from the quay and close to all major attractions. The room was spotlessly clean and the stonework respects the building's historical character. The café is a lovely space, and the staff (especially the lady) were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good quality and nicely presented.

The guesthouse is not owner occupied, but the access arrangements work well. Unfortunately, I had very noisy neighbours on Saturday night, and there was no owner / staff person on hand to ask them to stop shouting and banging. This premises is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

I have been fortunate to travel to many places, from hostels to 5 star hotels and My Riberia Guest House has hands down been one of the best experiences I've had. Location was PERFECT, staff was beyond kind, room was gorgeous, spacious, and cozy. I've noticed people mention the noise of a nearby tunnel but quite honestly my partner and I didn't think it was loud at all. Sure there is some noise from the cars, but nothing that is necessarily frustrating or truly disturbing. I strongly recommend and will be using this space every time I visit Porto! :)

Nothing!

fabulous place with welcoming staff! I occasionally come to Porto, but there’s nothing like spending time near Ribeira, getting up and wandering near harbour early in the morning and late at night spoiler alert: I’ve read previous reviews before visiting the place, if you want quiet, don’t come to city center, I enjoyed every tiny bit of this place and being on the pulse of the city and I am looking forward to bring my family and 5 year old here
