Exceptional staff - every single person I interacted with was very polite, professional, and willing to help. They supported me through the process of retrieving a lost luggage from TAP and also gave me several good recommendations on where to go for sightseeing, good local restaurants, and spots to work. The location is also very good - a short walk to the Congress Center and to Cais da Ribeira. The room was pristine, with great amenities. I will definitely come back next time I travel to Porto.

I have nothing to declare regarding things I did no like - it was a very positive experience.

I love that I arrived earlier than the check-in time and they went out of their way to search an available room for me. As I had a night flight I was happy to be able to rest a few hours before having a full first day ahead of me. The room service was crazy good and really gave that extra luxurious feel, I probably ordered 3 times in like 4 days. (Yes, it was that good!) The guys at the door and reception are lovely as well, as every morning I headed to the front desk to ask for beach recommendations and other things to do. They really took their time to explain all the options to me and one of the guys even ordered me an UBER from his phone as he said the would be half the price of a city taxi. I truly recommend this place as I doubt that you can get a better view of the Douro river anywhere else in porto.

there is really nothing bad to say.

Spacious rooms, ample storage space. Good sound proofing from activity inside the hotel (see my comment about traffic noise). Beds were comfortable and a pillow menu available. Sufficient bathroom amenities provided, and a brand I personally like. Housekeeping was very good. Unobtrusive, they waited until we left the room for the day. Breakfast was sufficient to fuel you up for the day, and tasty. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and helped us park, bring in our luggage and gave us a lot of information. If you encounter an issue (our coffee pod machine was faulty) call reception immediately and they will sort it out with a smile and in a very short time. Maintenance appeared within 3 minutes with a replacement. Well located out of the noisy bustle of the old town where parking is almost impossible, but close enough to get to town easily. Tram and bus stop right in front of the hotel, so we made use of their underground parking, at 12 euros a day, and rode into town and walked back.

If traffic noise bothers you, request a room facing away from the roads. You'll sacrifice stunning sunset views over the river, but you'll sleep well. As good as the soundproofing is inwards, it was really bad facing the road and even with the shutters closed the traffic noise was intrusive late at night and starts early. The double glazing is negated by unsealed wooden frames on door and windows. Nothing else bad.

The staff is outstanding, especially the people working the fabulous breakfast offering. They worked very hard to make sure everyone was elated and the food was the best breakfast offering so far in Europe. The room was probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen and if you want a good night’s sleep with absolutely no noise, this is your place.

The location was a little farther away from the center of town, however the man at the front desk reminded me that UBER is an option here in Porto, and once I had that all figured out it was only a $6 UBER ride to anywhere I wanted to go (make sure and tip the UBER drivers as we don’t want to loose this). The other side of that coin is although you’re 15 minutes from the center of town or a 30 minute walk, you are not right on the river and a fabulous place to jog/run/walk to the sea. I did a 5 mile run/walk on my third day and began to appreciate the location more.

Everyone working at this hotel went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We liked being away from the centre of town and enjoyed the walk along the river. The bus trip and cable car were fun. There seemed little point in taking the 45 minute river cruise as we walked the route every day. Had we stayed longer we would have taken the day cruise.

It was disappointing that the roof bar wasn't open but this may have been due to forecasts suggesting rain albeit there were only a couple of insignificant spells of light and short showers which did not cause us any problem. It would be better if the dinner menu were changed more often - for three days there was exactly the same dishes on offer. That said when we suggested an improvement to a dish it was acted upon immediately and with good results plus the staff all wanted to know if we were happy with it.

Parking was located in the basement and was available anytime via a lift. The bathroom was huge, with separate little rooms for the shower and the toilet attached to the main sink and dressing area. Despite being close to the lift, the room was quiet. While the sleeping room wasn’t huge, the closet was able to absorb suitcases that would normally be on the floor. The breakfast buffet was good, with custom egg dishes available. The Nespresso coffee machine made great coffee. The hotel was away from the center crowds, but easily accessible by the trolley, which stopped right outside of the front door. The staff provided nice touches like a flute of brownie bites on our final night.

My room had windows through which people in the rooms across the narrow street could look. (There were transparent screens obscuring the view.). There was some noise from the street. The room could have been larger. The restroom for the dining room was located on a lower floor.

Breakfast was great along with location

The roof top bar had reserved tables most of the time and had some booked functions. Completely understand this but most of the time tables were empty or filled during the end of the night. So after 1 drink we went onto other venues. Staff explained very quickly what time you could sit in the 'hot seat' but I felt they didn't really make hotel guests that welcome. Hence a swift drink and then moved on. On the first night reserved tables were left empty in th eprime roof top location.

I totally recommend this hotel to everyone. The place is very good near both city and the beaches. You can even walk to the city easily. It is clean and quiet and modern. You will find yourself at the river when you leave the door of the hotel. The hotel gets clean everyday and it is very very clean. It has a bar on the roof with good view. It is open unfortunately from 1pm to 9pm so we were always in this time out of the hotel. You get one time a free bottle of local wine if you order food in restaurant. I recommend you to get food in the hotel restaurant at least once. Specially Pork neck steak is super delicious. Try it! There is a Coffee maker in the room and tea. A Fridge which can keep your food cold. Breakfast is very good. You find almost everything in breakfast from cheese to sausages and fruits and local sweets. It worth it if you get the hotel with breakfast. If you want to travel in the city or the beaches just get bus no. 500 it is right in front of the hotel. Don't get tram just bus 500 goes every important places in the city and beaches. You can get a card called Andante card for 1 or 2 or 3 days from train station. With this card you can use all transportation and metro in all Porto city for whole day.

Nothing very big to complain about only Shower tempretur was hard to adjust but that was ok because you should do it only one time and leave it that way.

I've stayed at Vincci several times while visiting Porto and it's often my favorite part of the trip. The location is ideal because it's away from the hustle, but close enough (10-15 minute walk) to everything you need. The staff is A+. Whenever I've had an issue, which is very rare, they've been speedy and always make things right. There is so much space and the rooms are amazing. The rooftop is gorgeous.

The hotel is beautiful, both the architecture and interior design. The staff was exceptional regarding every question and request and although we didn't had breakfast we had the opportunity to experience the restaurant that was excellent, food and service. Both menus, lunch and dinner, were the right amount of adequate portions and sophisticated.

The only request in a future stay would be a room with more natural light. Rooms facing the interior of the building would benefit from more natural light.
