Due to problems with the landing, we arrived at the hotel one day later. Communication about the delay was good. We received a certain discount on the first night for our late arrival and a snack when we arrived at the hotel. The rooms have ocean views, are air-conditioned and are located in the quiet southern part of Madeira. Although the hotel is on a hill, it is a very good starting point for exploring the hotel.

Beautiful large room, very clean and wonderful view over outside pool area, then valley and then ocean - very serene. The buffet breakfast was great with a very nice selection and the dinner buffet was better than most dinner buffets with numerous options. I found most items quite delicious. Great place to relax.

You definitely need a car here or you will have to taxi to town. However, the room price was very good so that balances out just fine.

Great hotel for reasonable price. The room was clean, spacious, with a beautiful view. Beds were comfortable and for breakfast many options. I liked the peaceful location in the middle of the island, a great starting point for daily trips by car. Riviera Brava has a nice beach and a few restaurant options. Fully recommend!

Amenities were excellent. Staff were great, breakfast was very good. Large clean room, nice shower, once we worked out how to use the shower taps. Great view, nice pool.

Hotel is 5kms out of town in a rural hilly area. Poorly serviced by buses, taxi needed for each trip away. To far to walk. They really need some kind of shuttle into town.

The view from the room was amazing and the room itself spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great, easy to get to although there is a bit of uphill drive. If you have a car it's a great base for your travels

Very comfortable hotel with good breakfasts and dinners. Magnificent views of the Atlantic ocean and mountains. The stuff is helpful and welcoming. Rooms are equipped with everything necessary for comfortable stay.

The location doesn’t suit for travelers without a car. It is rather challenging to walk there as the roads are winding and narrow. The area seems to be rural and far from the most sights. Even reaching the ocean takes about 40-50 mins of walking. The bus service is irregular, out-dated and infrequent.

The staff were absolutely amazing and the breakfast is excellent! The rooms are very clean and we had an amazing sea view in our room. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning to be in Madeira.

The breakfasts each morning were wonderful. The front office staff went out of their way to help us rent a car, order taxis, and help us to communicate when we didn't speak the language. They went above and beyond to help us and we were very grateful. He also hand wrote a few things for us to do while we were there after helping us with a car. I love that they have their dog there too!

Wish there would have been a shuttle to Ribeira Brava town.

Food even though not so much choice but was good

Cleaning stuff was kind of racist as the first day they cleaned properly but after they saw us black they didn't clean well not even removed the used plates

The location is good and you get peace and quite. The breakfast was buffet style and gave a wide choice of food. The staff were superb and could not do enough for you, we really think they need to be recognised for their efforts, so a big thank you from both of us.

It was nothing to really do with the hotel, but the taxi services to the village itself which was a 5 minutes journey was expensive, €10 to €12 each way. I booked a taxi to go to Funchal for the day and it was great and only cost €25 for a 25 minute journey.
