Best Western Plus Hôtel la Rade

The location of this little gem of a hotel is perfect for easy and quick access to the Cassis port/marina and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, and very well supervised, as was the area where breakfast was served, with an attractive view out over the port, sea and headland. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Having a swimming pool to enjoy on hot days or to relax around was a bonus. I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. We have already done this to quite a few people. Staff were very helpful. It is not a large hotel, so lounge facilities may be a bit restricted, but we would certainly stay there again if returning to Cassis. I would recommend any visitors arriving by train at Cassis, with luggage, to pre-book a taxi to meet them at the station, given the hilly layout of Cassis.

The toilet roll holders, though this is a very small thing. The roll kept slipping off the end of the holder! Just the design.

Breakfast excellent. Location for beach and port excellent. Piscine great. General ambiance great. Parking good because early enough in the season.

Television French be only. Not one English speaking news channel. A bath mat in the bath/shower to prevent slipping on smooth bath surface would be an advantage. Room was rather dated and worn but clean bed linen, towels, all essentials like coffee machine, water glasses (as opposed to plastic cups), etc., made up for that

The staff was very friendly. Loved the pool and the pool area. Beautiful view from the breakfast room. Rooms were small but fresh and clean, good shower and a renovated bathroom. Nice 5 minute minute walk into town. There are a few parking spots and we were happy to have one.

It was typical hot weather. Only minor complaint was the air conditioning barely worked and the room was very hot. An American issue! The stay was great and I would recommend!

Just a very short walk from the port. We were very happy to get a parking space right by the entrance. Hotel has beautiful view out to sea. ALL the staff were so friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and air con not obtrusive. We slept well. The breakfast was well worth the extra charge. We loved sitting at a table looking out over the swimming pool to the sea. Very good choice of hot and cold food. Waitress very helpful.

Couldn’t reserve parking, so didn’t manage to explore locally, as we were worried that we would not find a space on our return. A hot hilly walk to nearest public car park. We are both nearer to 80 than 70. No lift in hotel ( help offered to carry our bags) Bathroom very small, with awkward glass screen over the bath. No room for toiletries. We would have preferred a shower which would mean more space. (Tight fit for big tall people when on the loo)

Amazing hotel ! I loved it so much ! The staff are amazing, very helpfull, smiling and super kind ! Omg I can't wait to go again ! The area is so beautiful everything is near by, Bestouan beach, restaurants, shops, town, bus stop... Perfect for a relaxation trip 👌 very quiet and clean, the breakfast was just amazing the buffet was massive at lot of choice of food and everything was fresh ! Super hotel ! I have enjoyed it so much ! Thanks to the staff for giving me a warm and a friendly welcome 💜 I will come back for sure !!!

Great location, 5 minutes walk to the marina. Free parking outside is convenient if you can get a place (first come first served). Rooms were small but clean and modern. Bathroom was nice. Bed was fine. Breakfast buffet was decent.

Our air conditioner had a pump that made a loud annoying sound every couple of minutes, all night. There’s no elevator for older people/taking bags upstairs.

no headboard to bed so big space. very uncomfortable to sleep and no proper bedside tables to place a drink. bedside lights in need of repair. shower room too small and slower base too high off the floor, slippery and dangerous.

Very comfy room, with coffee machine and a small terrace out looking the see. I loved the soap shampoo and body lotion of orange flower sent. Fantastic views from the breakfast room where I could attend sun rise while having my breakfast, and the terrace (even if I could not use the swimming pool as off season). Nice and well furnished breakfast.

breakfast a bit expensive, and even if well furnished, missing some nice cheese choice (we are in France the country of cheese).

We wanted a place for the night so we could explore the area. Cassis and the coast are absolutely beautiful.

The curtains are sheer, and folks on the outside can see those on the inside. Recommend putting up thicker ones. Parking can be an issue.

The hotel is just behind the port up a small incline. Staff were lovely and efficient. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh orange juice and plenty of hot and cold choices. The pool was heated and the area was spotless, with lovely views. Towels are provided at reception.

We has a Comfort room and although it had everything needed it was compact.
