The staff were exceptional. So friendly, polite, helpful. They were great with my kids too. They really went above and beyond and I'm so grateful! The room was really comfy and spacious. We actually all had proper beds instead of sofa beds which was bliss! They managed to give us a close room so I didn't have to walk too far (due to a recent operation). We even had biscuits and little chocolates which the kids were very pleased about! And the food in the restaurant was incredible! I had Asian tapas which were sooooo good. The kids had a literal banquet which they devoured. It was really nice!

The only fault I have is that the drains really smelt bad. But that is the only fault from our stay.

A fire alarm evacuation during the night was poorly managed. I am a fire officer of over 30 years and have attended many hundreds of similar scenarios. I observed a single fire warden attempting to check the fire panel and manage guests (a number of whom re-entered the premises prior to fire service attendance) whilst other staff members in high-visibility vests stood at the single assembly point. The fire -warden appeared stressed by the situation but did her best under the circumstances. Whilst the majority of guests waited patiently outside for a little over 20 minutes, a number of guests went back inside.

Lovely welcoming staff, especially Anna, who sorted out a room change for me . Spotlessly clean ( thanks to Olga). Comfortable bed, good shower Air con !! The food in the restaurant was good value (3 corses for £22) and the breakfast was excellent. Pet friendly. I loved the complimentary treats and poo bags tied with a bit of green ribbon . All of the staff made a fuss of my dog. Location is easy to get to and perfect for where I need to be the following day ( the university) I've never been in a Holiday Inn before,but I will definitely stay again.

Maybe a slightly lighter weight duvet option, though to be fair, I didn't ask if there was one available.

There is a simple layout to the building and the grounds around the site was lovely. All rooms have irons and iron boards which we found specifically useful as we went for a wedding and had clothes to iron on both days

The window to our room and some other guests that we were with were screwed shut. When we asked about this we were first told that this was because of health the safety but then on noticing other rooms on the same floor with open windows we asked again and we were told that the windows were broken and they had been too expensive to repair. The room also didn’t have a mini fridge which we found frustrating as this doesn’t happen in many hotels so we brought cold drinks and snacks with us that we couldn’t refrigerate.

Truly impeccable, all staff were approachable, kind, understanding and a real credit to your company. The 2 ladies at reception we very warm and welcoming, spoilt my little lady (female staffy) with treats and a lovely note. The area it is in has a wonderful nature reserve and really is quality to take a long walk after the exemplary food they have here, I genuinely know if you choose this one you will definately not be disappointed, 10/10, the absolute best no contest!!! Thank you to all of you that had a hand in making my stay the best one.

Hotel was very nice, clean think it must be quite new, receptionist was very nice, friendly but professional. My room was excellent very clean, spacious had everything you need iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. A nice touch was biscuits left on the bed for us and after dinner mints on the dresser . Breakfast was absolutely yummy lovely crusty bread and buns, croissants, muffins and the the hot food selection there was plenty of choice . Will definitely stay at this hotel again as it was lovely.

The only problem we encountered was the toilet had a slight leak which we reported to the receptionist who dealt with the problem ASAP.

The grounds, restaurant, staff all brilliant The extra touch like chocolates and biscuits in the room & water with fruit by the entrance.... Love It!!

The room itself was nice but the carpet was horrendous, dirty and covered up by patches of another carpet, by the radiator. There was clearly leak previously. We would love to be able to open the window but the handle was broken off ( maybe on purpose) and the window shut tight. Saying all that, the price was very good for a family room and the special touches like chocolates and biscuits etc did make up for the carpet let down!!

Was a nice room clean was a lovely bed nice and comfortable room was warm had extra heater if was colder so made room nice and warm Didn’t have to leave til 12 which wasn’t a rush in the morning bar was nice but cold as near the entrance

Thought the drinks and food was expensive For what was on the menu £16 for two drinks Couldn’t stay at the bar long for that price so went elsewhere for drinks dinner

Location close to relatives we were visiting. Staff were superb: warm, friendly, and a real sense of working as a team. Comfy bed and excellent bathroom (clearly recently updated). One of the best hotel breakfasts we can remember having in some time, with excellent hot buffet options and to-order porridge and omelette.

Slightly tired carpet and some soft furnishings. Some of the music played in the reception / bar area wasn’t very relaxing (but it was good on Christmas Day).

The staff were all very friendly. Made to feel very welcome. Our room was immaculate. There was very little noise from other guests. The breakfast was well presented, well cooked and fresh. Great selection of hot and cold food. There was plenty of parking despite arriving late both evenings of our stay.

The bathroom hand-wash basin pop-up plug didn't pop up, so couldn't drain the basin (twice) Room lighting brightness was low despite all the lamps being on. Needs either a bright center light or illuminated mirror.
