The Staff was really helpful and the services were good value for money. Overall it was a very good stay. Hotel was as advertised and facilities were good.

I cannot really say i did not like any particular aspect.

Good location. Some reviews say it's far from metro: its less then a 10min walk to Matar

Shaving cream tube was empty. Room is a little smaller than usual 3 star hotel rooms

Property could do with a big clean. Had to wipe my room down with wipes before hand. The man on reception was very rude at check in too

We liked the rooms. For 2 people with a big suitcase each, it could be a bit more space, but we managed well. The whol accomodation was clean and well kept. The restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfast was abundant. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The hotel ist situated close to various bus stations, and the train station is in walking distance. It's very easy to reach all attractions in all parts of Singapore by public transport.

We had nothing to complain.

Bus top near Ibis takes us to the Tai Seng MRT which was very convenient. Restaurants were 5 minutes walk away and good value, including 2 seafood outlets. The hotel driveway easily accommodated several waiting cars with no issues.

Unfortunately, the Macpherson Mall attached to the Ibis was closed for business. I was hoping to have easy meals in air conditioned comfort in the mall's food court. An electrical outlet in the bathroom would be handy.

Value for money - the room space is just enough. Staff were really nice, especially Emily! Location and accesibility.

The lobby was always full with groups checking in late or departing early causing some wait to access the elevators. But it is not something the hotel can control. Had to wait till the day before check out to confirm late check out. Would be great if hotel can guarantee it upon request or way in advance to reassure visiting guests.

Very clean, very helpful reception service, guest laundry available, quiet rooms, huge breakfast buffet, really nice pool area.

I was caught outside in heavy rain. When asking, completely drenched, for extra towels upon check-in, I was told that towels are on the room. Prior to check-out time staff tried to enter the room after announcing themselves (I was in the bathroom). They double-checked if I was really checking out. The mall in the same building is almost empty besides a place where you can play darts and a pub, another locale was being refurbished.

The pool area was gorgeous and quite hard to find somewhere with those facilities at that price. The room was nicely decorated and felt fresh and new. The bed was very comfy.

My room (which was very inexpensive in relative terms) was really, really small. Despite being on the 5th floor and having 2 very narrow windows, I could still hear road traffic at night. Fine with earplugs in though. Quite a bit out of the central area but excellent transport links right on the doorstep, but once you were out for the day you were out for the day. I wasn’t keen on the mall area and blacked out bars at the bottom of the hotel.

I really cannot understand previous bad reviews, we really enjoyed our short stay here. The pool area is big and beautiful and we had good food and drinks in the restaurant at the pool area "Chat and Chow". We had no breakfast included, when we asked to buy a coffee, they inviited us for free (and really good) breakfast, because we were booking over booking.com (thank you "Dev"). On check out day we had a flight in the evening, no problem to let the luggages in the lobby and to use the pool area all the day. The location is also ok, 10 minutes to walk to the subway and then in some stations you are directly downtown. Positive is also that it is just 20 minutes drive to Changi airport. The rooms are small but functional (what is normal for Ibis). We were already in another Ibis hotel in Singapore and we would definitely prefer the MacPherson next time.

We could not find something negative

The hotel is very efficient, I got my room early and didn't have much hassle with the check-in. This is my second stay at this property.

1. Large Tour Groups book here which basically means you can forget about breakfast if you are lucky enough to stay during those. 2. My room specifically had the bed against the wall and a large pillar in the middle of the room. I couldn't get in or out easily. 3. The rooms are not sound proof which meant that I had to endure a lot of noise from a very "active" couple next door for an entire night(which I ended up spending in the lobby with the staff) 4. My room did not have a pool view as per my actual booking.
