more spacious than Rucksack in Chinatown 👍 not in touristy area, closer to locals, better for cheaper food options, hawkers 🥘 new furnishing staff very willing and helpful

The place was located within walking distance of quite a number of bus stops and train stations, as well as a lot of eateries and foot massage places. I ABSOLUTELY loved the beanbags in the shared/communal area, it was very relaxing to sit/lay down on them when just chilling or even working. The internet speed was swift.

The only thing I can think of that I didn't like about my stay was that there were too few shower and toilet stalls. I felt that there wasn't enough privacy, and dry flooring, for when changing into new clothes once done showering. I think there should've been a waste bin in the toilet stall as well.

I love how clean Rucksack is. The staffs are so friendly and so helful. They even take care of my umbrella when I left it around the kitchen because it was still wet. I am so glad that I stayed here for Christmas & New Year.

Some guests just don’t know how to keep the room clean

The property has two different MRT stations within 5 minutes by walk, and Lavender station is only 30-40 minutes away from Changi Airport without change. Staffs were very nice. They speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese fluently. The beds, rooms, and public area with kitchen were all clean. The surrounding neighbourhood has a wide variety of choices in foods. I frequently visit Singapore and have stayed in different accommodations, I think this property was the best among them.

The toilets and shower box were clean, however it's always wet, so any in-house flip-flops are strongly recommended.

Close to MRT, super nice and helpful staff, close to hawkers, very nice price to for Singapore, amazing soft bed with duvet, good AC when it was on, great lockers provided, sometimes the WiFi was great - sometimes not working, street not noisy, enough toilets and showers all the time, no curfew - 24/7 reception

Only AC at night in the rooms, lobby has AC 24/7, the guests were very different from the rest of SE-Asia - they were very noisy and not so used to the hostel situation, showers difficult to get hot, bathrooms smell a little moist, no towel or soap provided

- 4 beds in 1 room (all female), quite spacious inside - Bright and comfy common area with refrigerator, hot/cold drinking water, microwave - Lots of bathrooms - Has coin laundry and dryer - each bed has a keyed locker - My friend got a problem with her locker and some forgotten items but they were so kind to let us know about it. - There are restaurants just below the hostel.

- No curtains on the beds so not much privacy - The type of ladder on the bed is slippery and makes it quite hard to climb up the top bunk. - The shower floors are not separated and they don't have their own drains. Even if you're the only 1 bathing, the whole bathroom can still get floody and wet - Needed to climb 2 flights of stairs to the reception, plus another one to get to the rooms.

The staff was really nice and also quick response when I contact them on WhatsApp and Booking.com chats. The hostel located near coffee shop, many of restaurants and 7/11. The hostel has lockers that including key!! When I check-out, the staff allowed me to drop the bag from 10AM to 2PM. It’s pretty much helpful!!

- The hostel located nearby the small temple and some restaurants below the building, both of it cause to Noise around 2AM. - The hostel excludes Towels service, you should bring it yourself.

The common area is nice. The beds are comfortable however they shake a bit. Good air con in the rooms and not cramped. The locker is spacious. It was good value for the price and the location is good not far from the station and many places to eat around.

The showers are clean however the drainage is not properly made and all the toilets floor gets wet when people take showers. They could fix this or at least provide slippers for the showers. The shower could have more racks to place stuff.

Fantastic location, situated within 10min walking distance of three different train lines. Also, a couple bus stations and several 7Elevens in close proximity. Kitchen was always kept clean and ordered, and bathrooms were regularly cleaned. In the laundry area, there is a cute little laundry liquid disposal where you can purchase two packets of laundry liquid at a time for SG$1 Each bed was assigned their own locker, which has two coat hangers in it. The key comes with the room key. Great staff always very willing to help out with positive attitudes. No judgement was passed the times I was an idiot and needed one of them to open the room for me. While check out is at 12pm, the staff let us leave our bags in the common area, and chill until we were able to check in to our next place.

Initially hard to find. It's not the best-signposted place, and we definitely walked past it twice as grumpy, tired travellers at 11pm. Kitchen facilities, while great, consisted only of a hot/cold water station, a sink, and a microwave. Which for most travellers might be enough. Eating out in Singapore can be cheap (SG$4 - SG$10) if you go to the right food courts. Also, because there weren't many kitchen amenities, it meant that fridge space was plentiful (which was lovely). There was only one washer and dryer in the laundry area, which is also used by the staff for sheets. But if you get in, you get in and it's great.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel and I was made to feel very comfortable at Rucksack Inn. The room was properly cleaned before being handed over to us and the entire property was being cleaned at regular intervals. Lyonne was kind enough to accommodate us earlier than our scheduled time, and provided great suggestions for places around. She was very polite and took great care of us. The locality also felt very safe. We spent almost entire nights on the street around, and had no concerns for security whatsoever. Will definitely recommend this property.

The shower areas were keeping wet since it was common to a lot of people. No concerns around cleanliness, but a small suggestion would be to keep a bathroom wiper in each area, so people can clean up after taking a shower.
