Spacious and elegant, comfortable beds, good bathroom and shower, kitchenette had just what you needed. Really a very beautiful, new and clean hotel/appartment. Location was absolutely perfectly situated.

The adjacent street is full of clubs so be prepared to hear the music thumping full blast until 3 am and the drunken patrons gathering under your window for their taxi rides home or fighting until police arrive. We did not bring earplugs and were awake until 3:30 every night.

The hotel is a rare old building, beautifully renovated with very large rooms and more than 3 meters under the ceiling. Everything is new, well maintained and very clean. The hotel is situated in the old town, close to many city attractions.

Music from the downstairs bars can be heard all day long in the rooms facing the streets. Very loud music from a club around the corner can be heard in the same rooms until 6am in the morning Tuesday to Sunday. This can be really annoying, especially if you are not there to party. While the staff is willing to change the rooms, all the rooms facing the inside of the building were already taken during our stay. Better insulation with a double set of windows for the rooms facing the bars and clubs would be expected from such a hotel. Actually, most of the hotels in the areas adopted this kind of double set of windows.

Our room is wonderful, spacious and comfortable bed. The living room with a kitchenette is also great. There is an atm machine in the reception, yey! Location, location!

Fantastic apartment-style space that was located directly in Old Town! Loved the high ceilings and interior design. The sound isolation inside the room is top-notch and was highly appreciated being in Old Town, which can get loud at night/on the weekends. Additionally, the Matisse provides much more space than a traditional hotel would ever offer, especially with its prime location. Highly appreciated the flexibility and allowing to do an early check-in and hold bags due to our chaotic travel schedule. Costin was amazing and would absolutely seek to stay here again when in Bucharest! Recommend to all travelers (Business, Families, partners)!

I recommend this apartment! The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that the specific room I had was not as impressive (actually was darker and smaller) as it looked like in the pics in Booking- maybe it was because I had asked to get a room in the inner yard due to the comments about the noise regarding the rooms in the street.

Excellent hotel, the apartment is great.

The neighborhood is the only downside. This is of course not the hotel's fault. Bucharest is run by a band of bumbling baboons who allow the City Center to fall to pieces every day, and the terraces in the Old Center play music awfully loud. We could not sleep because of the loud music, and there's no insulation on earth that could prevent that. On Saturday we were woken up at 5 a.m. by loud music. Awful. Again, it is not the hotel's fault.

We absolutely loved our stay here, even though it had a lot of positive reviews I wasn't expecting it to be so nice, it was really fantastic! High ceilings and very stylish decor, plenty of space and plenty of light, everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was great value for money and if I return to Bucharest it would definitely be my first choice, we were travelling with small kids and it was perfect for a family stay. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise- we arrived at 1am on a Sunday morning and the party was in full swing in the surrounding area so I was a bit worried about the noise levels. However, the windows are really thick and we didn't hear a thing, it wasn't noisy at all once inside the apartment. And of course the old town is right on your doorstep, so just steps away from bars, restaurants, shops etc. All in all, a great place!
