Amazing location at the top of a hill with great views and atmosphere. The staff was the most welcoming and service minded people I've ever met at a hotel, and through the few days it felt like they made an effort to know their guests.

* Shade. The terrace outside the main building is an amazing lounge area, but with no shade or parasol, it's unusable during the day. * Lunch. Because the restaurant isn't open for lunch, you need to leave the hotel during the day. If there was offered some light meals, like cheese, cured meat, fruit and maybe sandwiches, the kitchen could prepare it in the morning and serve lunch without kitchen staff throughout the day.

Amazing breakfast was included in our stay and we also got a chance to have dinner at the restaurant with an unforgettable sunset view. The staff was really helpful and kind, and gave us a lot of useful recommendations for wine tours, sites to see and visit and activities available in the region.

The property is a quiet and very nice villa with an incredible view to a valley with olive and grape plantations. On the horizon you can see San Gimignano’s towers. The location is perfect since it is near to some of the main sites to visit in Tuscany (san giminiano, volterra, pienza, crete senesi, bagno vignoni). The breakfast and dinner at the hotel are top notch, and the wine selection is extensive. The staff is outstanding, Chiara on the front desk helped us plan our stay and make the most out of our days at Tuscany. Paola and Laura, who run the hotel, are incredibly nice people and were very welcoming. We will visit again someday.

A beautiful hotel and location, perfect for a relaxing break. The pool and spa were great, the hotel food was outstanding and the staff were lovely.

The room was very warm but this was due to Tuscan rules that air con cannot be turned on until 1 June. The staff were very helpful when we noted our discomfort and provided a fan.

The views were unbelievable, the food and service were fantastic and the spa was amazing. We booked this hotel at short notice during a longer tour of North Italy for a place to relax and recharge and it was absolutely wonderful. You need a car to get to the hotel and the drive doesn't give you any impression of the high quality hotel that you are about to reach. The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom and shower was amazing. The staff treated us as special guests and we enjoyed everything about our stay. I hope we can return back some day.

We enjoyed relaxing at the hotel and in the spa and pool, but if the stay had been longer we would probably have eaten out as well, but I'm not sure how much good dining is available in the area.

Stunning location with amazing views over Tuscany and Chianti. We are one night at the restaurant, highly recommended! Breakfasts were delightful, especially the home made cakes! Beautifully refreshing pool too.

It would have been nice to have an iron/ironing board rather than the laundry/ironing service but that’s just us - ease and speed of it all really.

Situated in a picturesque location with stunning sunset views in the surrounding hills, the staff were all really helpful and friendly (especially Diana), and gave a great recommendation for dinner in Castellina in Chianti (about 15mins drive). We both enjoyed a relaxing massage in the spa, and the pool had plenty of nice spots for sunshine or shade. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast in the garden was very impressive indeed.

Some free water in the fridge in our bedroom would have been nice.

The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The views are fabulous! This hotel is so classy in its simplicity. The property, trails and views of the Tuscan country side are beautiful beyond belief. The breakfast was superb!

My room was tiny, though adequate.

The location is perfect as it is fairly close to Siena, Sam Gimignano and not that far from Florence. The property has beautiful views. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was perfect. The rooms were very comfortable. Overall, an excellent stay.
