The view from our room was fascinating, and the views in this location are spectacular as such, including the breakfast terrace. The locally-grown fruit, freshly squeezed juices, self-made yogurt and the omelette from their own eggs were super tasty! It was also our first time eating the Portuguese tamarillo fruit, it was delicious. We really enjoyed the spa zone and also took the opportunity to rent the sauna, which was great. Would definitely come back again and recommend to friends and family who are looking for a nature retreat with added value.

The drive to the property was very steep and someone had left their car parked on this steep, narrow road. Due to this, we left our car nearby the church and walked to the hotel instead to avoid car damage and unpleasant surprises the next day. This does not, however, have much to do with the hotel.

One of the greatest places I’ve ever been. Up in the mountains, felt like I was reborn, surrounded by wild nature, animals, fresh air. Great breakfast, stunning views, super friendly service. Felt like home. Reminded me of childhood, kinda magical, like a dream place. Aqua pool with a mountain view, sauna, lots of space to sit, soak up the sun, just breathe. Rooms? Beautiful, really beautiful. Fully equipped, spotless, and I had an amazing mountain view from my window. Felt truly cared for. Customer service? Friendly, easy to talk to. I was there alone, but I loved it. Hope to come back.

Very pretty location and the view from my room was amazing. Also super clean and new hotel. The breakfast was nice. Also loved the big lounge with super comfy sofas and free tea and coffee. Very quiet hotel and nice other guests. Also free water available 24/7. Would definitely come to stay again.

The timings & required communication: Check-in window was small, if you want to use the sauna you need to tell them in advance, when I tried to use the pool it was closed for two hours for cleaning and later in the evening it was also closed. If you want to have your room cleaned, you need to tell them before 6pm. It felt I needed to coordinate and plan my time like at work and that's precisely what I don't want to do on a holiday. When I wanted to ask someone you always needed to look for someone because reception was empty. Maybe connect with your guests on WhatsApp because then we can text you from the road. And maybe extend opening hours of the pool until after nightfall.

Everything was simply amazing. I love how they pay attention to small details, everything was spotless, i didnt see a dead fly or a cobwed anywhere. Everything is presented well. I was hoping to stay 2 nights but I can see why its a popular stay and it was unavailable for the extra day. Amazing breakfast, they even have a pancake maker! Best breakfast. This property should be rated 5*. It even had its own garden where they grow fruit and veg, i think it was organic. The views are amazing, the silence and peace is energising. You need a car to get there and stay a night or more as theres no food places withing sensible walking distance. The hotel only serves its amazing breakfast. Theres a great restaurant in town at the split road which serves great pizza too. A great stay with history, views, peace, cleanliness and great staff.

Its the perfect quiet romatic or solo getaway. So it would have been ideal if it was adults only. Unfortunately I'm sure that would not benefit them as a business.

The room had a rustic vibe and it was very clean. We also enjoyed having a balcony with a beautiful view of the more rural and hilly village. Breakfast was very good with regional and homemade products as well as lots of vegan alternatives. There is a "honesty bar" where you can buy these homemade products like the jams and then pay at check-out. On the last day we had to leave early so the night before they kindly brought us a take away picnic (water, fruits, sandwiches). Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Keep in mind that the soundscape is rural so you'll hear lots of birds and other animals. Dogs could often be heard barking from a far distance but at night it was mostly calm so we had no problem sleeping.

We had an incredible time at this gorgeous family-run property. They really go above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. Homemade cake at breakfast, fresh flowers from the garden in the bathroom, and a fresh bag of dried herbs for tea upon arrival. They are really just lovely people. They are inspiring an incredibly sustainable lifestyle we should all learn from. No plastic bags in the garbages, fresh eggs at breakfast from their chickens, homemade jam and yoghurt, and they only do the towels when needed. I will miss seeing them, and the views :)

The road getting up there isn't ideal, but you get used to it once you've been there a couple days. It just happened to be under construction when we were there, but nothing they can do about that.

This was the best place in the whole of Madeira. And probably the best hotel ever. The place is exceptional, cosy, homey, clean, well designed, not crowded with guests. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, great shower, great details and extras. Make you feel really welcomed. We swam in the pool. Good temperature for swimming, perfect area to chill, read, enjoy the view. We booked sports massage and it was really good and worth the money. They also gave us bathrobes. The breakfast was exceptional, smoothies, freshly squeezed juice, garden veggies etc. Outside area is also very comfy for chilling. You need to have a car for this place. Some good restaurants around.

A very subtle quiet sound that the electricity box made in the room.. but I might be very sensitive to such sounds so it's not something to worry about or could be improved instantly.

We looooved this little family run, boutique hotel nestled above São Vincente. It is a lovely little oasis geared towards relaxation. The staff all very helpful & so kind. We enjoyed a wonderful & much needed massage (we had done the Pico to Pico hike prior to our stay), the pool, the gardens--from which we enjoyed much of the produce at our breakfasts which were fantastic with delicious veg and fruits, homemade jams and yogurt. We stayed 4 nights & from here easily traveled to Santana, Ponta do Sol, Levada walks, the incredible scenic drive from São Vincente to Seixal to Porto Moniz, the Laurisilva Forest (Fanal Forest) and much more! We definitely will definitely stay here again when revisiting Madeira

Amazing view from the room, pleasant water in the pool, delicious home made breakfast and very hospitable owner

It was difficult getting in, we arrived at night and didn`t receive the code to enter. Then the next evening I had the bad idea of going in the courtyard for a phonecall dressed poorly. Well, when I wanted to go back in, door was locked and I had still no code to enter. I froze outside like 30 minutes until some guests came and let me in. It is unusual, this method, people don`t expect if door opens with a sensor to go out, you can`t get back in.

The place is absolutely beautiful, even it is far from everything (you have to drive to get somewhere). It is like a rural area of small village so not many stuff around but the view in the morning from windows was just spectacular. Staff was helpful and really nice. The breakfast was good enough to get your day started. I really enjoyed the bed, I could sleep in there all day. if you like calm spot with a amazing view, this is your place.

The offer for buying food and water from a "bar" could have more options. Chips and cookies are not particularly good after long day of travel, when you arrive and don't wanna go anywhere else and rest as I traveled by motorcycle.
