Again loved our stay here , not to far away from the start of the main town of York Easy to find and parking for one car per room ( £10 charge per night ) This is a well established place from the main building to the out buildings We stayed in the main building on request and enjoyed a comfortable and more than adequate sized room for our stay The loverly stairway leads up from the lobby reception to corridors for individual rooms ( we had a bonus the first room before this and previously more attic type room ) the staff member Joseph welcomed us on arrival and also was point of email contact, went through check in etc and anything there after always offering any further assistance. We quickly got settled in and chilled with a purchased drink at the bar very reasonably priced!! Getting in on the happy hour well 2 actually but also was give a first purchase ticket of 10% off drinks ( not combined discounts ) Breakfast is always a plus here very nice and always plenty to have plus tea coffee juices

Can’t fault it (has a few minor points if you want be fussy like a tile cracked in the bathroom or a bit of mastic missing )

Location was excellent for the center.Direct booking through the B&B entitles you to free parking.As we booked through Booking.com we encurred a £10 a day charge.Breakfast choice is good and a full Yorkshire was 2 rashers of Bacon 1 Egg 1 sausage beans mushroom grilled tomato.Toast as required.A selection of cereals , Yoghurt and Jam.Tea and Coffee.The staff are really friendly and helpful.And appear a happy team of people.Breakfast served 8 -9.30 during week.We would probably hit room at 9.10 They were quick to clear the tables so felt a little rushed.But that would be our only criticism.If we book again will look to book 2 singles or king size if available.As a foor foot 6 double is a bit tight for a big Lad and a little lady.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and cheerful and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Our room was at the top of the hotel and was an excellent size with a good bathroom. We slept well and it was exceptionally quiet on a night. The bathroom was a decent size with a good shower. Breakfasts were excellent with a varied choice of cooked items which were all cooked to order and of good quality. The hotel is in a very quiet side street off one of the main roads into York and was in a good location. We were on foot and able to walk into the centre of York in about 10 minutes.

There was really nothing to dislike.

B+B York is located in a lovely part of York, and it was very easy to get to and from attractions and sights from the facility. Their breakfast is amazing, and they have a broad menu. The room was lovely. This place is well kept and have the friendliest staff. The facility is quiet, comforting, and inviting.

The only thing I had an issue with was that the shower door was off-track, and I couldn't get it back on. I informed the staff the next morning, and it was fixed by the time we returned from the day's events. We did have tiny issues like the bed size with the room (hitting our knees on the foot posts of the bed), but that was about it.

Good location to walk to the centre , staff very friendly and helpful , breakfast very good choice and a decent breakfast, only downside no fresh fruit on offer otherwise very good got a great coffee machine and we liked that there was mugs in your room not a tiny teacup .we stayed in the cottage which was good quite quiet although we had a noisy neighbour! Shower powerful and plenty of hot water , downside the bathroom door needed some W40 on it very noisy when opening and closing and it did have a smell of damp when you came into the porch and a bit in our room , otherwise good valve for the money and yes we would stay here again.

Comfortable, staff pleasant, not too far from centre (about a 15-20 minute walk), parking available. Quiet street, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a good selection for breakfast.

We stayed in room 25. Shower room- needs to state in details about the high step up into the shower. A longer shower mat would be better as it’s either slippery near the shower or when you are stepping out. Instructions on the heating as it was far too hot on the first night. We turned the radiator down and the blower in the corner off. Instructions for the tv as it took a long while to figure out how to take the subtitles off. Bed linen- please check when putting clean bedding on as there was a rip in our bottom sheet.

Such a nice place to stay in York. It was clean, beautifully decorated with a British charm, has all the facilities you need and it even have two houses. It's located 15mins away York's historic centre, so it could not work for people with movility issues, however the walk back and forth is very nice. I stayed on the Double room, as I got upgrated free, and I have to say for only one guest could be a bit to much but it has high standards either way. The breakfast was tasty, although the lunch room could be a bit bigger. Staff working there are amazing and very lovely.

Good communication before and during stay. Joseph was helpful. Able to leave luggage earlier than book in and park from 11am. I understand about parking charge as it would have cost to park in York. About 10-15 minutes walk to York Minster. Room as expected, twin room in main building. I am glad I booked accessible downstairs as I'm not great at climbing stair. Toilet near reception too for when I left luggage early. Small bar area with a choice of drinks to relax for the evening. Chocolate to buy would be a good addition ( in a city built on Chocolate industry) I bought some York Gin as a Souvenir. Room was clean and comfy. Generous sized shower en suite. Had gluten free breakfast.

Unfortunately, my sleep was inconsiderately disturbed by the room next door. Which I can only describe as a very noisy female for about 20 minutes from 1.45 am . This spoiled the expectations, as previous reviews describe the quiet location. BnB does not accept Hen/ Stag parties and is not City centre. To me this was unacceptable behaviour. I was unaware Staff were on site and would have dealt with it. I did go to reception and it was locked and didn't phone the emergency number. Even though Staff can not be held responsible, perhaps in the future, there could be a quiet hours policy? I found this difficult as once awake at that time, it's difficult to sleep. I'm a seasoned traveller and had worked hard to enjoy the York Viking festival.

From walking into the property, we knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The staff were fantastic, couldn't have asked for better, our room was fab, we booked the deluxe double, we were treated to a lovely, free standing bath, it was so nice to have a soak before we got ready to go out. Unsure if the guy we dealt with was the manager, however, he was really interesting to chat to, we could of chatted to him all night. Bedtime was super comfy, the bed linen was good quality too. Breakfast,sooo tasty and plentiful. Looking forward to staying again, hopefully for longer than just 1 night next time!

Great location and could walk to main city centreim 15/20 mins. Great room with everything we needed. Really comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and tidy. Great price

Bathroom was a bit worn down and could do with a bit of a refresh. It was clean, just felt it needed fixing up a bit. Our room was at the top of the staircase from the main entrance/hallway so found it very noisy. About 6am one morning we were woken by a very loud noise like a big metal trolley was being dragged around. Could hear everyone coming and going from the main door as well as to the dining room.
